Manager is a goose, acts like you are putting her out, no personality,and would rather not deal with people , just went in because my new glasses weren't working for me, and in explaining what was wrong was told I wasn't useing glasses right and not to tell her how to do her job, I never said a thing about how to do job , she was way too busy looking over my shoulder at other coustomer I believe , and I'm stuck with glasses that don't work for me , will never go back and don't recommend to anybody , total rip off artist read more

Purchased eyewear 5/23. Some kind of film applied to glasses surface. In 10/24 I could not see through the lenses anymore, the film applied was wearing off. They refused to back up their product. AVOID THIS BUSINESS!! read more

This review is late but I wanted to write a fair one after cooling down. I currently have wet macular degeneration in one eye and had radial keratotomy in the other about 30 years ago, so that eye is changing. I have had glasses for about 8 or 9 years which needed to be replaced, but I was told to wait by the eye doctor when my AMD was diagnosed. After getting shots for 2 years for the AMD, I scheduled an appointment with the ophthalmologist at Nationwide to get an eye exam for glasses. He did the typical "which one is better - this one or that one". Then he suddenly shut it down & gave me a paper with information for glasses. Donna helped me pick out a frame and wrote up the order. When the glasses came in, I anxiously went to get them. I was very disappointed with them when first trying them on. I was told that my blood sugar may be low. Really? I have no problems with that. Anyway, I went to breakfast & returned, took the glasses home, and used them for several days. Then, I took them back to get the bifocal raised & the photo gray darkened. Another lady helped me and remeasured for the bifocal & verified the photo gray problem. Then Donna walked by, asked what the problem was, then said loudly, "We're not sending them back for 2 millimeters!" The 2 ladies went to a corner & talked for several minutes, then came back and said they'd send the glasses back. It took several weeks to get them back and they're still no better than my old glasses. I realize that the AMD will take my vision someday in the one eye but the other eye's vision should be able to be corrected with glasses and these absolutely don't. Somebody in the office suggested getting cheaters. Why would I need cheaters if the bifocal was correct? Also both eyes are different & cheaters have the same correction for both lenses. .... Some people in this office are nice, but the rudeness by others & poor exam was disappointing. In the future, I will go to a place with good reviews to get glasses that work. read more

You don't get to see a doctor in person. Everything is via zoom. This was something I was aware of but, it's sit around and wait , technical issues,etc... The staff is absolutely hit or miss. 1 employee was great ordering my glasses, the rest are useless,rude, and would rather scroll through social media than do their job. My exam came and went they needed to order trials for me. Then they "forgot" it took 3 weeks to get me trials. They then refused to let me go back to my old brand even though they left more comfortable and I liked them better. Asking them for information over the phone is like talking to a brick wall. They don't know anything, they have to track down a doctor to reach out to,etc... If you value your eyes and health of those eyes, go somewhere else. May I recommend Havasu Family Eyecare! read more

I would them 0 stars if I could. The whole experience I had with them was terrible. I came in to get a contact prescription. There is no in person doctor, you are put on FaceTime call with them more or less. and they do the tests that way. I did the exam with the doctor over the video call, and when it was done, I was given a trial contact with the prescription that the doctor had sent through. It was completely wrong, almost like, they had sent through a random prescription. When I had brought that up and said we need to do the exam again because the prescription was way wrong, and It was even more blurry than my old prescription. I was taken back to the exam room, where the tech tried to get me connected with the doctor once more, and informed her that my prescription was wrong. The doctor refused to get on the call. And declined it when the tech tried to call. How wrong and unprofessional is that. Not only do I think it makes no sense to have a doctor over a screen and not in person actually checking you. But then for her to actually decline the call and refuse to get on and fix her mistake is terrible! If a patient needed help with their eye, they have to be worried that their call would just be declined because the doctor whom is working from home, simply does not want to get on the call and do her job. She ended up sending through a random prescription that was not mine, but a little bit higher than what I had before. And it was still wrong. I ended up going to LensCrafters, and not only did they get my new prescription right, first try with no issues, but also have a doctor in the store, and not over a FaceTime call! I had previously ordered glasses frames from nationwide as well, and was told that they would be done in 10-14 days. I called on the 14th day just to check if they maybe had them, and the Woman who answered the phone was INCREDIBLY rude. And caught an immediate attitude the second I asked if she could possibly see when I could come get my glasses. I had my phone on speaker around my family and they were all baffled at the unprofessional, and rude behavior of the woman on the phone. 3 weeks later my glasses were finally ready to pick up, so I went and got them. And shocker, the prescription in the glasses is wrong!! incredibly frustrating how much time, and money was spent for them to not get a single thing right. There are so many other places that you can go, where they will actually provide you with the results you need, and the customer service you deserve. Don't recommend Nationwide vision. read more

My first experience at Nationwide Vision Center. The exams were great. A newer employee checking us in was nice. We have a very high deductible so we wanted to know prices and options of exam and it seemed as if we asked something out of the ordinary. Being what seemed to be new and young, I had to explain we live by a budget and want to know how much things are before we buy or order a product or service. She then provided prices. Doc was great. Now the bad. A specific rack has a sign 2 pair $99. I understand upsell for options. Totally get it but in order to get the deal one must select frames that are less than $60. I would be okay with that if the sign states such. It did not. We spent time picking out frames for the whole family. Gee what do you know? Not one pair in the rack that we selected fit the promotion. When the attendant stated to my wife as if I wasn't there, not once but twice "I told your husband that" in an accusatory manner, I walked out. I can't stand these sales tactics. Would of liked to given this place a try but the customer service by the lady adjusting glasses was extremely rude. I was waiting with my kids for our appointment. I was standing next to the frames since there was only one chair available to sit in. As I stood there just LOOKING about two feet away from the frames NOT touching anything, she rudely said " we need your temperature before you look around!" I told her I was just looking and not touching anything, and she didn't need to be so rude. She rolled her eyes while irritatingly trying to fix a pair of glasses. I understand they are being precautious due to Covid, but there is no sense to be rude to people just staring at frames. I canceled our appts and walked out. Don't recommend this place. It took over 3 hours for our appointment. They Optometrist was a visiting doctor and was the best optometrist I have ever seen. But the office staff leave A LOT to be desired. The lady at the front desk was upset because they didn't have lee approval of my insurance and gave me a form to call my vision insurance and fill out myself and then she called again anyway. The lady that does the fitting of the glasses was inpatient and screamed at the doctor to not touch her when he came up to talk to her and didn't even touch her, making it very uncomfortable for the clients. read more

The rudest customer service I've ever had. The workers acted like it was a chore to wait on me. Their tone, body language and response to needing help were below average. The quality of eye ware is cheap. I only had my glasses a few weeks when the lens popped out. Once that happened, it continued to pop out until I finally lost it somewhere. Replacing cost $60. The girls at nationwide vision were very helpful and sweet. I came in wanting to know how soon I could get in and look at frames. As soon as I walked in, all the girls say hello with smiling faces. More then happy to help me with any of my questions. I was able to get in the same day. Also when it came to looking at frames, a young lady named Marissa, helped me pick out my frames, she was very helpful and knowledgeable. All the girls there from the time I walked in and the time I left, were very helpful. I will be coming back and bring family next time I come in. Thank you for your amazing service! read more

I'm giving this store 2 stars instead of one because the staff are so courteous. That being said, they don't know anything after you place an order for glasses! It's been over a month now, (I ordered before Thanksgiving) and no glasses. All I get when I call is the runaround, and they have never called me back when they said they would find out and call. My advice: stay away from this Nationwide! I have had good luck at the one in Penney's. read more
