This is what I want to see as a marijuana dispensary! A cute "old house", on the river, a well-kept yard space and scrub brush towards the back and river. Except for the neighbor business' truck yard, you'd feel like you were going to a, lol, "secret place". Then there's a big parking lot in front and though it is often busy, it kind of below the expectation.... UNTIL.... I used to go to a different dispensary nearby but I like the vibe of this place. It feels like what you expect to find as a marijuana dispensary. The old house, is partitioned into areas to receive and sale. The personal attention of the bud tenders is nice. The comfortable feeling of going to that old house in "that" area of town to see your "friend" to get something, though all legal-like now-a-days, makes the experience reminiscent to me. read more

After 10 years of building a relationship with Native Roots they have abandoned their commitment to providing affordable, quality medicine to their patients. Effectively overnight they made so many changes to the medical side of the dispensary that they tripled the cost of my medicine. I had agreements with previous management that were instantly thrown out the window without so much as a conversation. After speaking with the new District Manager, Chad Ricketts, he pretended he was willing to negotiate with me. After over a week of considering the options, he called and negotiated by telling me I can keep paying triple. Then he spoke to me as if he'd done me a favor. This dispensary has no commitment to their patients anymore. It is the opinion of this EPC patient that any medical dispensary who is harming their patients should not have a medical dispensary license. They'll lie and tell you it's the legislation, they're losing money, etc However, from my experience with the last manager, I know for a fact each agreement we had was a profit for them while still being affordable for me. Before medical marijuana, I was in a wheelchair on massive doses of opiates, being treated as an end of life case. This is truly medicine and survival for some of us. No medical dispensary should be allowed to harm their patients in this manner. To be clear, previous management made a considerable effort to make sure they were considering the patients needs. The current district manager does not seem to have that same kind of ethic, experience or understanding of the medical importance for certain patients, nor does he have the customer service skills to manage such an important position. For now, Native Roots has decided a larger profit margin is more important than their patients lives. Let's be clear, they are a large corporation, crushing competition then hiking prices and removing the incentives that created their customer base in the first place. This is an epic betrayal to the medical marijuana patients in Longmont especially, as thanks to Native Roots, there is very little competition for medical options in the area. If you're looking for a decent medical dispensary, do yourself a favor, and look elsewhere. It's definitely worth a bit of a drive for a better deal, better quality, and better treatment to buy from a company who truly values their patients. read more

This medical dispensary has changed my life for the better. I am a chronic pain and nausea patient and i really love having the option to treat both with the same plant medicine. All staff members are incredibly respectful and knowledgeable. Right after my med card renewed I came to Native Roots to continue using their products and enjoyed the staff. I'm a senior citizen & live on very low income. The reason I returned to Native Roots is because they assured me BOGOS through my $150 ,this would have allowed me to get products until August. Literally 3 days into May those BOGOS were no longer available. Big Pharma doesn't allow seniors sleep medicine or pain medicine so this was very important to Mr financially & very beneficial to my health. I went up to speak with them and told them they could reach out when such changes take place. They said " they were there to make money ". I don't feel they honored their commitment to get our membership and base it on their ability to make money. Clearly, seniors aren't their main source of income & I think they could have honored their commitment to me without going broke. I found the same product at " Jars " for $6 less than they offer for a product called "Tastebuds" ( gummies ) for those of us who cannot smoke. I will be going elsewhere for my needs and it's sad that they are now part of " the machine ". Too bad they feel it's okay to treat a select few with such disrespect. read more

It's my go to dispensary. The Boulder store sometimes has products that Longmont doesn't. I always call first to confirm that they have what I want as often times the products shown online are not necessarily what is in the store! The front desk lady has a SERIOUS attitude problem. The line at the door was confusing, so we stepped up to her front desk to offer our ID, and she barked at us that someone was ahead of us. Rude customer service. I was in this morning and some new girl got really short with me. I bit my tongue and just walked out. No menus here. And online menu doesn't give enough information. I need the THC amount, the high and the low. Otherwise I need to ask. Yeah I may need to see a handful of things. It's not my fault management ignores the second most important variable on purchase decisions. Weed use to be good here. Quality has dropped and prices raised on joint packs. Packs are not dried and bottlenecks super small at tip The joints are not smokable abd have been for a year. The woods reserve is twice as wet as the house shelf and a lot more money for weed that's not even strong. read more

Typically I love native roots, but I just went here and they didn't give me my change! I called about 10-15 minutes before I returned to get my change back and proceeded to have to wait 25 more minutes so they could check the camera footage to see if I was lying. While I was waiting, another person came in with the same issue. They didn't care that I was on my lunch break and they used the whole thing up. It was all over $4 that I needed to replace a light on my car. Smfh, never have I had such a hard time dealing with money at a dispensary. And after the whole situation they didn't even give me my receipt back, which is critical in the marijuana business. Never have I been so disappointed in a business in my life. After all that I still didn't even get my exact change that I needed. For a total of $34.18 I only got back $4. I would have appreciated all my change especially since I had came back for it and told you that you messed up. It's ok though, I'm sure y'all kept it for your "tips" They also told me what I was buying was $10 cheaper than what I was actually charged (before taxes). If you value your time just go down the street and you'll be met with a more professional encounter. When my ID was checked at the front it was returned with a crack all the way across the top of it. I don't have much experience with dispensaries but my experiences at this one have been good. When you walk in, you check in at the front and show your id. You then wait in the little waiting room for them the invite you in. There's only about 3 to 4 people allowed in the room where you pick out your merchandise so if it's a busy night you might be waiting for awhile. In the waiting room, there's lots of little magazines to keep you occupied. Sometimes, there are coupons in the magazines so definitely check those out. Once we made it in to buy our merchandise, we were greeted by our "budtender". She was super helpful. She asked us all kinds of questions about what kind of experience we were looking for and recommended the perfect strain to provide an ideal experience. This is a great environment for people who are curious or nervous to try out something different. I usually gravitate towards the raw bud but they also have a decent selection of edibles to pick from. You have less selection with the edibles so, theres that to keep in mind. They do take card but it gets routed as a bank fee - not sure what that's about but it's good to have the option of using your card. read more

I have always gone by the rule that if a place is always busy it must be good. I've never seen this place not packed with people. Be prepared to wait at least 5 mins when you come here. They do have a nice order online system where you can order ahead and then they will text you when your order is ready. If you do this you will be the next person to go in when you arrive. The prices are good. Product even better. I wish they processed cards normally instead of using it like an ATM but it's good that you have another option rather than Cash only. Without a doubt, Native Roots in Longmont is my go-to dispensary! Excellent selection of flower, edibles and everything in between. The bud tenders are friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. Recently Chris was my bud tender he answered all my questions as well as letting me know of any specials (which I happily took advantage of!) The location is discreet and convenient, with good parking available. Native Roots is both medical and recreational so the waiting room was full when I walked in, but even on a Saturday my wait time was minimal. The prices were extremely reasonable. . . Yo don't shop at any native roots dispensaries. Just bought a cartridge in Longmont and the girl couldn't get the box open to show me, I opened it in the car and it was half empty. Went back in and the manager tried to say they were all like that. I said "half empty?" And he said yea, that they weigh right even though I've bought them before and they were full. I told him I'll just take a refund and he said they didn't do refunds and told me I could buy another cartridge. Who has this bad of customer service lol? read more

CANNASAP IS A SCAM If you like concentrates .... Buy them somewhere else! You will pay double if not more at native roots. They sell this liquid oil called "cannasap" ...named buy them I guess. When I asked the bud tender what it is he said, "it is hash oil mixed with propylene glycol/ glycerin". Than I asked WHY is mixed with that stuff ? He said " it is not as thick has raw oil". Not as thick? Who cares?! Don't go mixing pure oil with propylene glycol/ glycerin. So I thought of some "pros" that having this thinner diluted oil might create. - thinner oil would mean your vape pen wouldn't get clogged or burn up as often -thinner oil would be easier to handle ( as in it has almost the same consistency as water so it's easier to transfer than something thick like maple syrup. BUT , the "cons" .... -it's made from butane ( the cheapest & most amateur way of making extracts) not to mention bad for your health, might as well go buy cans of butane and huff them. -The con is this thin cannasap burns WAY faster than normal hash oil. (Because it's thin it burns away faster obviously) -it's not EVEN CLOSE to being as strong.... (There highest THC content was 33%) , most raw hash oil is 75% THC AT THE LEAST. So this crap is less than half as strong. - IT COSTS MORE!!!!!!, these mother F**kers are selling this for $45.00 for a HALF GRAM. - it's thin, ITS SO THIN that it leaks out of the intake holes on your own pen you sell!! ( but that's ok because of the sweet wallpaper on the pen brahhh) .................it's totally tubular when your $45 half gram of chemical infused diluted hash oil leaks out of your pen Dude, most raw hash oils @75% THC or higher cost $45 FOR A GRAM. So your selling this cannasap product which is half the quantity , and half the quality. AS EVERY OTHER SHOP ON THE PLANET SELLS THE GOOD STUFF. Your using a cutting agent ( propylene glycol / glycerine, to dilute raw oil. Than your selling it for double the price! F**k the consumer who doesn't know any better right? Anything to fill your pockets. Just incase anyone reading this doesn't know any better about the going $$ rates, THC content, and extraction processes contents of hash oil (liquid oil). Here's a quick lesson. Raw hash oil = 75% or higher THC content and commonly costs $45 a gram. "Cannasap" or cannacrap as I like to call it. = 30% or LESS THC content. This stuff is only made by native roots and there price is $45 for a HALF gram. (And it's made with butane . I went to a dispensary in Boulder called "the farm" it was great, they sell real hash oil, extracted from c02. For $50 a gram. They also sell many of the SAME EXACT other off the shelf products for HALF the price native roots charges. read more

The lady at check in was very friendly, than proceed to the back, my daughter went to show the sales associate a picture of what we wanted on her phone. She rudely told my daughter she has to put her phone away almost to a point of yelling. My daughter said I need to show you what I want. The sales girl "I dont care" we didnt know about cell phones, 1st time in a dispensary. Again rudely its posted, sorry we didnt see it. The young girl was not friendly at all. Years ago, back in the medical only days, the Native Roots in Denver had some of the higher quality product you could get at a dispensary. They have expanded massively since then. Well the mighty have fallen.... and hard. I've been there twice in the last year or so and have been blown away with how poor the quality has gotten. In both visits, not a single strain smelled how it should. They almost all smelled musty and gross. The best of the bunch just smelled OK. The Skywalker wax I took a chance on was the single grossest tasting concentrate I"ve purchased at a dispensary. No hint of Skywalker flavor. Just a foul distillation of the smell I encountered with most of their flower. If you're at all a connoisseur of flavor, stay far away from here. EDIT: I updated the review from 1 star to 2 stars. I got around to trying the Glass Apple flower I bought. The strain that smelled OK. It was actually good. Had a unique flavor that I'd describe as piney. Seemed flushed right and was pretty potent. Still, I had to go through a bunch of bad smelling jars to find the strain, and that concentrate couldn't taste worse than it did. read more

Rude, rude, rude! Native Roots is the only dispensary in Longmont that makes you wait outside. They claim that they must maintain a 6 foot distance. While that was true during COVID restrictions, those were lifted a month ago. When I asked why they were still doing it, the front desk women became defensive and said it was store policy and asked if I would like to speak to the manager. I will never spend my money there again! Fortunately, in Boulder County, we have the Farm, Twin Peaks, and Starbuds and many others with friendly, polite staff. read more

Since then, the business has exploded, but in turn the medical patients have suffered because they have put recreational customers ahead of them.
