My husband has been coming here for the last few years and I decided to come in for my recent annual check up. It's conveniently located and there is plenty of parking available. The lobby is open and well lit and the staff are friendly. Inside, past the lobby, there is an area where glasses are on display to browse and in the back are the appointment rooms and optical equipment. The team here is friendly and professional and Dr. David Leong did a great job checking my eyes and finding the best prescription. They had me try on some test contacts and then ordered some for me to try before investing in a year's supply. The appointment was quick and I didn't wait long between arriving and being seen. I just picked up a supply of daily contacts and I'm excited to have an alternative to my glasses that are comfortable. read more

Came here as I was looking for a new optometrist as my last one retired. Plus this was close to my house. Who would have known that this was a hidden gem. This is a family owed place, which I try my best to support local. The staff were very nice and welcoming. They had a decent pair of eye and sun glasses choices. However they were willing to contact the various companies and get examples, so getting my glasses took a little bit longer than usual. Definitely recommend! read more

I came to Natomas Vision Care hoping to pick out some frames and fill my prescription BUT unfortunately I was "greeted" by a lady who seemed bothered that I arrived close to closing time. I work until 5:30 & I rushed over there since they close at 6 not at 5:45 but at 6pm. I would have been more than okay with an appointment for a later date but instead I was told I had ten minutes to "get this done." She said I would still have to fill out paperwork as well. Then she said, " Do you understand your insurance & your coverage or am I going to have to explain all that to you as well." " Do you know how much you have to spend?" she asked as she shuffled around papers. I told her I have VSP & FSA funds I need to spend so I wasn't too worried about the cost. She stood before me, no smile at all, but instead her body language told me she was bothered & basically made me feel bad & like I was an inconvenience! Lady, you are a business owner in my community, the least you could do is explain the time it would take to service my needs and perhaps offer me an appointment instead of huffing & puffing & making me feel bad for patronizing your business at 5:44 pm! So I asked one last time, " So you're saying I have ten minutes to do all of this?" She said, "YES." I told her I would take my business elsewhere so I wouldn't inconvenience her. As I'm walking out a man claiming to be her husband told me to leave as I was already walking out the door & chose to add F bombs! I'm like,"What?" He must of heard me mutter"How rude" UNDER MY BREATH & TO MYSELF mind you, but even so, does that justify the profanity he so proudly shouted at me? All I could say to that rude man was that I'll be sure to yelp them. To which he replied one final,"F@&! You." I'm still in disbelief & a bit angry. I have lived in this area for over twenty years and businesses like this are not welcome here! I will make sure all my family and everyone I know hears about how your husband treated me. My daughter and I come here to get our glasses. They take VSP and have a really good selection of glasses for Adults and Kids. The staff is absolutely amazing. They are very friendly and kind. They go over and beyond. My daughter has broke her glasses a couple times at school during recess. I usually go in as soon as it happens. I don't have an appointment but they help me right away. Working remote and spending more time on the computer I was experiencing headaches and eye twitches. Made an appointment and the solution suggested was computer glasses. Wow...what a difference! Very nice staff. Thought I needed a screw added to my sons glasses, called here and the lady told me to stop by and she'd take a look. They were not able to add the screw because my son broke it in a place that couldn't be repaired by a screw. However, she magically added a new arm, guess she had spare parts laying around. Hey it fixed the issues... asked how much it would cost, she did not charge me as it was a quick fix and the part was an extra they had. Like really, this never happens to me. VERY appreciative of their kindness, they truly appreciate customers and do a great job! Glasses are still holding up months later. Highly recommend this place to anyone. read more

If you're looking for an optometrist, I definitely recommend this place. I looked up reviews and decided to give this place a try. Dr. David was amazing, he was very patient with all of my questions and was very thorough with his explanations. I have a new prescription for contacts and he told me to wear them for a week or so to see if they work for me. He wasn't pushy about me purchasing anything and said to just call in or come in to order them when I'm ready. I feel like optometrists always try to upsell you so I loved the fact that he didn't do that. I have had bad experiences with prior optometrists and I can thankfully say that I have found my new eye doctor. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Leong for at least 12 years and I have never had a bad visit. My appoints are pretty quick and my eyes have never been healthier. The staff here is friendly too. If you need help picking out a frame, don't hesitate to ask. They'll give you suggestions or help you look through the catalogs if you can't find anything you like. I've been going here since I was 12 or so (I'm 29 now). I really love them. I live in Elk Grove now and I continue to drive here for my appointments. I feel like they are family. They knew me when I was an awkward pre-teen and they've always been so nice as I was growing up. I've even run into them at the mall or at restaurants and they always remember me! Of my family members five have been seen here. We were seen here for the first time in October 2012 and I haven't regretted it. I picked this doctor based on yelp reviews and it has paid off..... Thank you all. Thank you my good optometrist:) All three of my preteen daughters were made to feel comfortable during their exams as was my wife. It was only my second eye exam ever and I new I needed glasses but didn't wan the exam to prove it. The exam was quick and painless.... Finding frames however was not. Disappointed! Went here based off of the great reviews. The doctor that examined me was very nice and helpful. The selection of glasses is decent. Turnaround time on receiving my glasses was awesome. Just make sure you don't have an issue with the glasses! This is where the disappointment sets in. I'm having issues with the glasses at night time. White spots start appearing at night time. I first noticed it when coming out of a theater and got a really bad headache. Then every time I'm out at night I'm noticing the same spots. I had a few friends try them on just to be sure I wasn't going crazy. Natomas Vision Care's response is that it's my fault because I didn't pay more for the anti glare coating. It was not made clear to me that I would have to get this extra coating in order to wear these glasses at night. And now I'm being charged more, $85 when I was ordering them it was only $55. I've had many other pairs of glasses without the anti glare coating and have never had this issue. Anyways, they are nice people just as long as there are no customer service issues. This place is great! Awesome staff, professional/knowledgeable Optometrist at NATOMAS VISION CARE. My son had difficulties with his contact lenses from a previous optometrist, and received very little training on the use and handling of them. I made an appointment at NATOMAS VISION CARE because my son was just about to give up. The NATOMAS VISION CARE staff spent as much time as needed to ensure my son was proficient using and caring for his contacts by the time we walked out the door. Dr. David Leong was great! He was very friendly, answered all of my questions, humored me and all of my concerns, and did a thorough exam. I also really enjoyed the fact that his office was open a little later than all of the other offices that I called in the area. I was a little put-off, however, by some of his staff who felt the need to look at their phones while I was getting diagnostics run or had the phones out in the open at the front desk. I rarely write reviews on yelp but felt compelled to write this review. The staff at Natomas Vision went way above and beyond my expectation . I had came in for a routined exam to get a new pair of glasses . I was looking for a pair of glass frames which i could not find at other locations but luckily the staff at Natomas vision were able to go online and help me locate these glass frames and which to my delight were still in stocked . 2 weeks later when i went to picked up my new glasses i had told the staff that i was experiencing some vision problems and needed an urgent checkup. Thanks to Alexandra she went out of her way and made sure i was able get in for a quick appointment that day even though they were busy . After a thorough eye exam and Dilated Eye exam performed by Dr. Leong he later told me that my eyes look perfectly healthy which gave me a sense of relief . My all-time favorite optometry office! First, let me start by saying I've been wearing glasses since high school. 10+ years! I get a vision check every year without fail. I've lived all across NorCal and have never had such wonderful customer service than I have had at Natomas Vision Care. I've been a loyal patient here since my bf and his fam turned me onto them back in 2015. They sincerely help you get the best out of your insurance coverage. Many of my coworkers and friends have now been converted to Natomas care because as soon as anyone asks where I get my specs, I spill about NVC and the staff. The opto techs, Karen & Alexandra are incredibly helpful and patient, they understand that choosing glasses is no easy thing. I'm a 24/7 kinda gal, so I need time to pick what frames I want to be rockin' on my face for the next year or so. The ladies are knowledgeable and usually know what your coverage is all about as soon as you tell them the plan. Additionally, I was happily surprised that my daughter won't quiet down with Dr. David, she is a tough cookie but for sure feels at ease with Dr. David! Also, when I decided to start a contact trial, Dr. David went out of his way to find me a brand that was perfect for me and my severe astigmatism. I never dreamed of such a great optometrist that is only a few minutes from my home. I definitely recommend making an appointment with any of the Docs here. They're all equally wonderful. Horrible,just horrible. I called 2 weeks ago & had to get my husband in fast. He broke his glasses and we just moved here but have vision insurance. When I made appt. for both of us they asked me to e-mail all the info and copy of card. Which I did. My husband asked to get off work early. Then JUST 3 HOURS BEFORE OUR appt. the office calls and says our they dont except or insurance. Awful!! Was it a immoral way to just get us in the door???? Or extremely poor business. read more

Had my first appointment today with the younger Dr. Leong and am very happy with my new eye care doctor. Like other reviewers have noted, the staff is fantastic which sadly is not always the case any more in a lot of businesses. Dr. Leong listened to my history and concerns about my previous prescription. I received a lot of help picking out my frames and felt that they really cared that I would leave happy with my choice. I've worn glasses since I was 4 and am now 50 so I have seen a lot of eye doctors. This was my best experience ever. read more

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Leong for many years. I have to say he is my favorite eye doctor in the Sacramento area. I have also found the staff helpful and pleasant. We decided to keep Dr. Leong as our eye doctor even though we moved quite far from Sacramento. We feel that it is worth the trip. Recently I went in for a new pair of glasses because I lost the ones I have. They no longer carry this particular brand of frames that I love, but they were able to order the same exact frames from the manuf. We have VSP coverage and have not had any problems with co-payments. Overall we have been very pleased with Dr. Leong and his staff. read more
