It seems most classes have a virtual option too. Met the owner when I arrived. She was really nice and showed me around. There are several studios and lockers for your belongings. The studio we were in for the class was really chill. Not what I expected. The lighting was dim with blue and yellow tones. I didn't feel as nervous after entering the room and not feeling fully on display. The Nia class was 30 minutes and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will most likely look at the calendar and pick some other classes here and there. I notice they do Pilates, yoga and things like that too. Lots of options!

From the beginning, everything was explained very thoroughly and my questions answered. The prenatal visits were very relaxed, not rushed. My options were explained to me, and I was always given the freedom to choose what I wanted to do. The Midwives at LLBC are all kind, patient, and knowledgeable. You get to meet with all three Midwives so that you are comfortable with whoever is on call when you go into labor. Krystal helped me so much along the way and referred me to a chiropractor, doula, and lactation consultant who were all professional and wonderful. The birthing center itself is nice and has a peaceful, relaxing environment. During my labor, Krystal was so patient and helpful. She explained everything that she was doing throughout the entire process, provided me with options, allowed me to make my own decisions, and answered my questions kindly. Due to failure to progress (I was not dilating past 3 cm despite multiple unsuccessful strategies to progress labor and change my baby's position.. he was sunny side up and stuck on my pelvic bone..) and prolonged rupture of membranes (it had been 20 hours since my water broke) Krystal recommended I transfer to higher level of care. Although the way I delivered was not how I planned, I was grateful to Krystal for recognizing the signs early enough to recommend the transfer before it became emergent. In the end I had a healthy baby boy and I'm grateful to the team at LLBC for their help! They have been wonderful postpartum as well!

They create a very welcoming, inclusive space where I have never felt judged or less than. I have always felt safe under their instruction, knowing that they may challenge me, but that they would never push me to injury. They normalize and encourage the use of props, modifications, etc, allowing everyone to explore each pose in their body without forcing it or feeling discouraged. I have also had several work related injuries during my time at NTY, and the instructors have always helped me to modify my practice, without making me feel like the center of attention. This community is truly one of the best I have ever encountered! I have always loved yoga, and have attended many classes at different studios over the years. As a plus sized person, I often felt intimidated, judged, and self conscious at these other studios. At NTY I felt immediately welcomed, safe, and comfortable. They offer different types of classes, so that you can pick the best fit for your personal goals. There are people at all levels present in each class, and I have never once felt like I didn't belong. I'm not very flexible and haven't taken a ton of yoga classes but she makes me feel so good about what I can do! She walks through each pose in detail so you exactly what to do and goes at your pace!! Some classes I'm stronger and can do more and some classes I'm exhausted and she still makes the class worth it! I know my birthing experience will be better because of my classes with Umashree!! I…read morehadn't taken a yoga class in at least a year when I tried Michelle's Saturday morning vinyasa class a couple of months ago, and I was a little afraid that it was going to wreck me. Because she modifies the class for all levels and pays close attention to the needs of her students, the class was perfect for me. It actually inspired me to return to my practice of yoga. I've now attended classes with a couple different instructors, and have been pleased with all of their different styles. The common thread between the instructors at Sacred Soul seems to be a calming, almost zen temperament, which I greatly appreciate. For me, the most important aspect of the practice is the sense of peace and acceptance I feel during class, as well as afterwards. I attended the Yoga Nidra class last Sunday, and it was absolutely amazing. I suffer from an especially acute monkey mind, and the Yoga Nidra class at Sacred Soul may be the best nidra class I have ever attended in my life.
