I went here from a Living Social deal. They pretty much carry similar products to what Whole foods and New Seasons carry. Their products though were really expensive and not a lot of selection in the cheeses, meats, etc.. No deli at all or bakery either. The staff was friendly and nice, but they kept pushing their turkey drive. I am 99% vegetarian, with occasionally eating some organic chicken, which they didn't have. So, it was a bit much. The positives are that it is another place selling organic food, they seem to have a large beauty/vitamin area, they have some bulk items, and are clean. However, I like Whole Foods and New Seasons because a lot of what they carry is locally sourced, sustainable and more variety. Thanks for the deal though, I did end up spending $12 above the deal. I've been meaning to stop in and have a look at this place since I heard they were opening in the old Bed, Bath, and Beyond location. The Living Social deal tipped the scale and made it seem worth a visit. I'm a bit, no a lot, disappointed. The produce section was very small, the cheese section was even smaller, but they did have a nice selection of frozen meats. The packaged goods reminded me much of Whole Foods, and the offerings weren't really distinctly different enough for me to go here rather than there. What really surprised me, and will probably keep me from returning was that fully half of the "grocery" store was supplements, vitamins, and personal care products. There are other venues for these products, so when I see "grocery" in the store name I expect the bulk of the selection to be food. The bulk spices were a nice find, but we can easily find the same selection at our local Freddies. I had trouble finding $25 to spend to blow my way through the Living Social coupon. If it wasn't for a $12 chocolate cake, and three packages of cheese, I'd have been wandering around a lot longer to find enough to be worthy of taking home. I don't think I'll be returning, even though the store was friendly and bright, I shop for selection and they just didn't meet my expectations and the prices were a bit high. read more

Believe all the other reviews, the customer service at this location is absolute trash. I have shopped at locations while visiting Texas and Salt Lake City - and Lakewood, Colorado while I lived there (the best, SLC was great too) and was so excited after moving to Oregon to find one close to where I live. I go more often than I care to admit, since the experience is terrible every time - but think I officially need to call it quits. New Seasons is not that much more expensive and my favorite - so if can afford to, go there instead. read more

They have a ton of gluten free bread, pancake mixes, cake mixes, cookie mixes and lots of gluten free crackers and cookies. Maybe that's what they may have going for them. Maybe this will put them on the map. Otherwise, I'm baffled as to how Natural Grocers will stay in business. They carry most of the items New Seasons and Zupan's provides and some of the more expensive items at Natural Grocers don't make sense. For example, why would a shopper want to buy one pound of pre-packaged organic free range beef for $10.50 a pound from North Dakota, when they can buy Portland-raised free range grass fed beef at an alternate store for $7.50-$9 a pound? Natural Grocers does not provide any local meats. Amy's organic soup is .79cents more a can and a half gallon of organic milk is a dollar more. Some of the organic produce is less expensive - I bought a big bundle of organic kale for $1.60 and a big bunch of organic radishes for $1.49, but most of the other produce is just as expensive as New Seasons. So, I'm having a hard time finding the reason to switch from shopping at New Seasons where people are friendlier, they have deep knowledge about the products in the store and where the atmosphere is brighter and there are way more people to help you. What is the argument for shopping at Natural Grocers which is more expensive and offers less? I'm truly confused. I'll keep thinking hard... Until then, I'll stick with my trusted New Seasons where I can get line-caught wild fish or fresh, local free range chicken. read more

This place was interesting. It's like New Seasons or Whole Foods, but with no deli, meat counter, fish monger, cheese counter or bakery. I did see some interesting gluten free things that might bring me back- fresh pasta and cheesecake to name a couple. And gluten free is clearly labeled- always a plus. The prices were comparable to the competition. However, the grand opening sale prices- they really weren't good. I don't really do vitamins and supplements, which take up half of the store. So I guess if you're into that, this place might rate higher for you. read more

This place is nothing short of amazing! In a time where people are becoming more conscious and curious about their food, someone comes along and paves the way to enlightenment. I like to promote an organic lifestyle in every way possible. Natural Grocers proves that this lifestyle can be just as cost effective as it is beneficial. Great produce, great household products, hygiene products, and vitamins. Even the meat selection is ideally suited! MY favorite concept of this store, is your opposition to plastic bags. I try to remember to bring a bag with me, but if i am in a rush and need to pick a few things up, you have cardboard boxes ready for carryout. The list goes on... This place was so cold in temperature and even colder on customer service. Many employees (more employees than customers)stocking and talking with no one saying hi or offering any assistance. I really wanted some braggs almonds as I have not had them in some time. Got them and one other item and headed to checkout. End lane open with two customers, one with a really full cart. Walked over to other register with two employees standing there. "Sorry I'm not open. " one says then they both walk away. No way to tell if register is open or not because there are no lights indicating open or closed. Go back to one open register but can't afford to wait the ten plus minutes it will take for woman in front of me to checkout. Several employees look at me in line and go about their tasks. No one at customer service no calls for backup. I just set my two items down and left to a much busier and customer friendly New Seasons up the street. I loved this place in Colorado but this was just sad. I sure hope they get their service together here for their sake. read more

The first odd thing that we didn't find out until the end was this is a bag free store. Make sure you bring your own bags or they will be like Costco and putt your items into a box. The store is very cool and awesome for my mother in law whom has a Gluten issue. This store has a great deal of boxed, frozen and bread gluten free items. For us the store was a little expensive but for others the organic, fresh, grass feed and natural items are a must. The layout of the store was very nice and upscale looking and the employee's were all so friendly and were more than happy to help you with any questions. If you like to live out of the box of conventional local grocers this is the store for you. read more

first of all, massage therapist on site that works off of donations. Secondly, its like a less expensive ( but more variety) trader joe's. They also have a bunch of things like figs in the summer time. I shop here before i got on a picnic or a hike so i can get the best tasting fruits. read more

Good low cost alternative to New Seasons, Whole Foods, etc. No floral or beer/wine. No deli. But for basic organics, staples, vitamins--can't be beat. Don't look for expansive hours either but good enough if you plan ahead. Small produce section but good quality and impeccable. read more

We were pleasantly surprised to find a clean, uncrowded store with the best selection of gluten free items anywhere else in the area. And best of all - their prices are lower than other local stores on those items. Labels and prices are easy to read. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I just wandered into this store about a month ago and was very surprised at the affordable prices. I'm finding that they are consistently about 10-30% lower than Whole Foods and New Seasons (except for Milk, where they are a tad higher). They ONLY sell organic produce, so if you only want organic, you can shop freely without worry of accidentally grabbing non-organic. They have much more strict standards than the previously mentioned competing stores where I used to buy all my groceries. They also offer classes for free and you can consult with their on staff nutritionist any time for free. Better food, lower prices. Natural Grocers gets an easy win here! read more

Natural Grocers has excellent produce. The celery was thick and tasty, unlike the commercial brand stuff you get elsewhere. Thier jumbo avacados were beautiful inside, perfectly ripe. The vitamin isles, there were like 9 of them! Hit the jackpot junction of vitamins. The prices were a bit high in my opinion so I don't think I'll spend all my grocery money here but for produce and vitamins, I'll be back. read more

I really love this place. They have an excellent selection and, if they don't carry something, they are happy to see if they can order it. The prices are very affordable and they always have great sales. The staff are friendly and helpful and they quickly learned who I was and greet me even more warmly now (I am there several days a week, as I work a few blocks away). I love that they offer classes there as well, although I haven't made it to one yet due to scheduling conflicts. The icing on the cake is that they are bag-free and make a small donation to the Oregon Food Bank when you bring your own bag. read more

I was skeptical, but after a few visits I love this store more and more. They have great prices on really high quality groceries (and dog food/snacks, vitamins, natural bath products, Glukos sports drink!!!), and the people that work there are super friendly. I have many gluten free family members too, so this is another great option for that kind of shopping. What sealed the deal on the 5th star is when I learned that for every turkey pre-order they get for thanksgiving, they are donating a turkey to the Oregon food bank. This store offers some products cheaper than other stores, such as the non dairy SO Delicious yogurts I get, and often they are on sale. They also often have gluten free breads on sale. I am not fond of the produce department as it is quite small and seems overpriced. Sometimes the fruits are not as fresh as I would like. This place is odd. The prices are similar to whole foods without the quality. I bought a kale salad which was a definite copycat of Whole Foods salad. It's horrible. I really like this store. All the employees are down to earth and really nice and in a genuine way. not because its part of their job duty. The other customers that come in that i have encountered have all been super nice also. They have a huge vitamin and herbal products selection. I am not sure on all item but lately the items i have been purchasing there have been cheaper than what i have found at fred meyer safeway and albertsons. on my last trip here i bought some of the bulk items, teas and beauty products. I also like how easy it is to park here unlike some of the new seasons where spots are small and sparce where other customers drive around like they are fighting for christmas season parking and dont look when they back up. New Seasons and Whole Foods need some competition! Natures Grocers is not as big as those stores but definitely has some good stuff. In fact, they even had an item that NS and WF didn't have (liquid Hyaluronic Acid). My favorite brands of yogurt is considerably less expensive than the bigger health/nutrition stores too, including Maple Hill Creamery and Stonyfield, 2 organic brands I like a lot. Apparently Wal-Mart carries the Stony now for less than WF and NS, but only the low fat high sugar flavored option, GROSS! I want FULL fat no/low sugar plain, and I found that one here :) Plus they have the Maple Hill middle size Greek one, everyone else has only the small size and their own small size is better priced as well, noticeably better, not talkin' a few cents here. Employees are friendly here too. The weekly flyer is blurry as heck, but that's an easy fix haha. Definitely a keeper store. My only worry is if they close, they don't seem too busy when I am there during peak hours. read more

What a cheerful store. best of all are the people working here, they are so friendly, have great customer service skills and very helpful. I still have hard time understanding how they can keep on being so nice, even while they are working and I am sure they must be under stress, still they never even look annoyed or bored or stressed whenever you have a question for them or ask them to show you where a product is. They are wonderful, contrary to some stores nearby, where they are totally the opposite. And I love the prices on organic produce, compared to NS, they are great and I also see the quality is better, and the quantity is more. Such as spinach, they are all very crispy, fresh and they are not wrapped in too tiny almost invisible bunches, but the right size. Organic fruit has also good price here. The cheese section is goo too, i have found here real fresh Parmesan cheese at a very good price, compared to other stores. Yes it is true they do not have the fresh deli and meat and seafood section, but I still think this place has the best deals about organic products so i give it 5 stars!! read more

The wide supplement variety, luxury food choices, numerous organic options, and premium organic produce department set this market apart from any others. Unlike other nearby supermarkets, you'll find perfect produce here that hasn't had 1000 people picking through it, dropping it on the floor, and reorganizing. Baby food and supplements are less expensive here (we're talking dollars here, not cents) than at Whole Foods. While their prices are probably generally less than New Seasons or Whole Foods, sales items are often less expensive than Trader Joe's. If you're looking for that perfect apple, this is the place to shop. The store has wifi and even a community seating area. You'll find snacks here you've never seen, but may have dreamt about if you're a health-nut or serious foody. read more

I got a jar of tahini for $5.50 and that is a pretty sweet deal. I really liked the bulk section and all the local products. The staff were very friendly. Visited the store located at 2120 SW 89th St Oklahoma City, OK 73159, I purchased a container of Bone Broth Protein and half a pound of cheese. Found out when I got home the cheese was rotten. Went back to exchange it and was required to provide drivers license information, phone number and home address. Stupid corporate office policy, the lady at the register was totally rude and unconcern. Contact the corporate office at (303) 986-4600 no help at all, extremely rude and immature. Will never return to their store, still waiting for an apology from any one at corporate. Too bad, I was happy when they opened a store in Oklahoma, happiness didn't last. Today was my last visit.
