Great little store with lots of great choices. Very good selection of teas & fermented foods.

I seek out artisan cheese wherever I go, and this seemed like a likely place to find some in Joplin. The cheese selection was surprisingly small and there was nothing local, but they did have some new goat cheeses for my collection. To my delight, I scored my first cheese from Montana! I was also pleased by the selection of nuts and crackers. Checkout was fast with a friendly cashier, too. This was my first time visiting a store in this chain, and I am glad I went in. read more

It is a very nice clean small easy in and out store no stress no crowds no long lines. At first o thought the selection was limited, but once I started really looking and shopping I found everything I was looking for. I love it and am now a regular customer. read more

Unfortunately I feel like it is the right thing to do to leave this review in hopes to share our experience with other parents and hopefully bring this concern to the managements attention. My family has no issues with the store but an employee specifically, I believe they are a woman with a short haircut. Every time we shop here and this individual is working, they are constantly approaching children. It has happened to us on multiple occasions and we've seen it happen to multiple other moms and dads. I will never doubt the instincts I have as a parent.. it is very very strange for an employee to be seeking out the children in a grocery store, getting in their faces, touching them, asking personal information about them, etc. if it was just a smile and wave or even just saying "hi" i would not be bothered. But tracking down my family in the store when my child is babbling and reaching to touch them and get in their face is simply strange. I know we are not the only parents made to feel uncomfortable by this employee. We have seen the interactions with others and watched the other parents faces and reactions. I really just want other parents shopping here to be aware and be able to feel comfortable. I am leaving this review on two platforms to try an reach the right people. read more

Not the largest selection of products to chose from but between Fox Farm and here - there is a bit of what a decent home cook might use. Fox Farms is great for specific items. The produce selection here though - poor quality. Berries starting to go bad, woody beets (indicative of poor growing conditions), improperly stored herbs and overall lack of selection is disappointing. I wish I could recommend this store for what it stocks but at best it is just another much needed grocery store in Joplin now that all major markets have fled. read more

I know they get some flack for not having the biggest selection, but we also don't live in a major metro! This is the only place is town where I can find Paleo groceries (Primal Mayo, paleo salad dressings, paleo breads, Hail Merry Tarts, a wide variety of almond butters, grass fed meats, and organic chicken sausage with no preservatives). I am super appreciative of the fact Natural Grocers is here in town! They might not have everything you are looking for health-food-wise, but I'm positive they will be your best bet! read more

Specialty food store. Small scale. Nice fresh produce. Pricey. Nice friendly help. My daughter was experiencing some problems since she's breastfeeding and we found the OTC meds she needed. read more

Would have loved to walk around and shopped but the store was SO incredibly cold we didn't stay long.

I am so pleased to have another option for food shopping in Joplin. While we will remain loyal to a locally owned store (Fox Farm) for many items, there is much to be said for the wider selection here. I've heard a lot of people complain that this isn't a "real" grocery store and I think many residents just don't know what to expect and are a little intimidated by the health food bent, organic/natural products and vitamins sold here. If you're expecting a traditional supermarket experience, you won't love it. If you're into eating organic, vegan, vegetarian, pescetarian, or gluten-free, you will probably find this a welcome oasis however. For my household, it's a place to stop in for select harder to find items and check out the teas and which produce is on sale. They have only been open for one month at this point and I've been here almost weekly and never leave empty handed. I'm pleased to find they carry my longtime favorite "Hail Merry" tarts, which are about 25% cheaper at Natural Grocers than at another local competitor. They also offer nutritional/wellness seminars and events - but I haven't attended and can't review those. read more
