We're here in Carthage which is only about an hour away. Mens wear was very tidy. Grocery section was good but I spotted some opportunities for better leveling and too many cardboard boxes on the shelves. Restrooms were clean. I had chosen this Walmart because they do tolerate overnight RV parking in their lot. Arriving at 9:00pm and then leaving at 6:30am, I did stop in for a few snacks and such. Otherwise, I was parked and undisturbed for the night in my Sprinter van before filling up with very inexpensive gas in the morning and heading onwards. Local store refused to give store credit like they have done for 20 years. Item currently listed on Walmart.com but NOT shown in inventory of local store. First told "Sorry, it's too expensive to get a store credit" ($60 list price), Then told, "Not without a receipt", later told "Sorry it was a Walmart.com (internet purchase) item and it can't be returned here" (been done there before). The extremely gay Customer Service representative hissed and spit his way through several excuses then said "We just cannot help you". We were there to also shop for our once a month grocery stock-up. No more of that. First it was "Self Check-out" now it's poor customer service. We WILL shop elsewhere!

It's a nice decent sized store for it being on the smaller size for a grocery store. They offer produce, meats, dairy, drinks, breads, frozen foods, snacks, and much more! They have a full service check out as well as self checkout. I normally just do the self checkout. To keep costs down, you must bring a quarter. You insert it in the slot and pull the chain. Once done, put it back and push yours into the other carts. Reinsert that chain and it'll push your quarter back out! Genius! I like Aldi's for being a budget grocery store. They have the basics. They also offer those one of a kind deals. If you like it, buy extra because the next shopping trip, it won't be there!! Overall, it was a nice shopping experience. Ample parking. Friendly staff.

The cheese selection was surprisingly small and there was nothing local, but they did have some new goat cheeses for my collection. To my delight, I scored my first cheese from Montana! I was also pleased by the selection of nuts and crackers. Checkout was fast with a friendly cashier, too. This was my first time visiting a store in this chain, and I am glad I went in.
