I initially went to the salon in the spring of 2019 in preparation for my engagement shoot. I'm natural and wanted my hair pressed with clip-ins for my photos. I'll admit the consultation took a while but that is because Noël really wants to understand your hair! She was honest, took in my considerations (I really needed it cut, but didn't want to right before the photos!) and helped me get some high-quality extensions for my shoot. Following that, I became a regular as my goal was to really grow it as much as possible for my upcoming wedding. This involved a few cuts, several Emergency repair treatments, and ultimately she recommended a keratin treatment to help with my curl manageability and improve growth (I have more kinky, coarse hair). After a year, my hair grew to its longest point and actually past the length of the clip-ins I ordered a year prior. The few times I have gotten it straightened my curls have always come back! I went rogue one time when I couldn't get in and got it straightened at another salon and unfortunately experienced some heat damage - never again, but we are nursing them back :) During COVID she has continued to do virtual appointments when I can't come in, consulted me on various treatments and my wash routine, and shipped me products as I have since moved out of state. My hair continues to experience tremendous growth with the products I order from the salon and I am looking forward to being a regular again once it is safe to travel more freely! While the services are on the pricier side, I am willing to make the investment. I can honestly say, you get what you pay for at NNY. (also looking forward to when they can serve wine and snacks again at the salon:)

Right off the bat every employee was super nice, friendly, kind, and sweet. My questions were answered quickly, yet detailed and professional, each receptionist was very kind. I was given tea, and treated wonderfully while getting my hair done and even after. I will say though, they are on a bit of the pricey side. I usually pay $45.00 for a regular wash and press, but I payed nearly $70 at Noel's. It's okay though, because it was all worth it! My hairstylest Harley was super sweet, she made sure I left looking fabulous, and she really worked her magic! I got to meet the owner as well who makes you feel right at home. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone in the neighborhood, or even if you just want to stop by and check it out!

I found this spot on instagram when a local influencer spoke about getting her hair styled here and the hairstyle wasn't typical and it was beautiful. I went to their website where I was able to book an appointment. I can to the shop and was immediately created, the energy was positive, the stylist Kathy, came over to me and introduced herself to me and we discussed what I wanted to have done, we talked about pricing up front which I really appreciated. My hair was washed by another young woman in the shop, and baby that was the best wash I've had in a while. The shop's decor is super fly, I loved the personal touches they had in the restroom, it really fells like a girls, girls shop! Back to my service, the stylist was kind, great energy and even asked if she could wrap up another client since what I was getting was more then originally booked on the site, I appreciated that level of consideration so much! By the time I left, I loved my beaded style, I enjoyed the service, the soundtrack that played throughout the service and just being in a fabulous shop where the styles happening next to me had me super inspired to come back. I was anxious because 3 months before my hair was damaged by a bad coloring job @ another salon. I lost a great deal of length because of the breakage & shedding of hair that resulted. At Beauty Mark I received the new client package with the addition of color correction & an improved dye job with Joico products. The outcome of the color job was absolutely beautiful!! Fatima has a website that doesn't provide anyone name when booking a service. I read most of everything that was on the site, but after booking the appointment literally the night before at 11am, I made a point to message the number the next morning to confirm the appointment. I did not get a reply back. I believe I called two or three times and called other numbers that I found on her Instagram and Google. No one answered the phone. After I booked the appointment I noticed that it said any available staff, which was odd because the last time I booked the appointment it actually said Fatima and I believe it was a different site when I first booked. Anyway, I go to the salon and they say Fatima isn't there but someone else is going to do your hair. I'm like, okay, well, since you're doing my hair, this is how I want it. The girl isn't understanding, so she calls Fatima and puts her on the phone; so her and I are speaking. We are going back and forth about how I want my hair to look, and she is telling me the price. First, the special that I booked was $120, 6 stitch into a bun. I believe she was saying that because I wanted it straight down, she was adding $20 extra, which did not make sense. Then I was saying no, I don't want it going all the way down to my nape, I want 6 to 8 boxbraids in the back with the 6 stitch on top going down. She then proceeded to say it was $160. I'm like, okay. She thought I wanted something like fulani, but that wasn't what I was saying. The staff that was there ready to braid my hair didn't want to do my hair anymore because I originally wanted Fatima to do my hair and because of the back and fourth she didn't want to do it and I didn't like it. I said I understood that, but now i have to change my plans and figure it out. While still on the phone with Fatima, I asked when will she be available. She says you have to check the site. I'm like. wow, okay. She sent me the deposit back, and I left. I check the site once again, and it doesn't provide her name or anyone else's name; it says (Staff, worker or something, no one name. I SAY ALL this to say. The site needs to be changed. The phone numbers they need to be updated, and the customer service needs to be better. It was a waste of my time, and Fatima was no help, and she seemed to be the owner of the business. Ridiculous.
