I was referred to Dr Fontes 4 months ago. Was having cronic back discomfort radiating down thru my left hip and leg. Was spending 5 hours with the heating pad after waking up. Positive results were not immediate, but...after 3 visits I began to see some improvement. Now it is only one hour on the couch with the pad. There has been enough improvement to recommend a good business associate, a friend from our pot luck, and now my daughter is checking in next week. Best of all I am back to my passion---hiking @ 75. Oof, this one was tough to write... but I had a not great experience here for my first visit. I appreciated being able to schedule same day and the staff was super kind. Visitors that came for other services seemed very happy when leaving. For me, my staff member never actually turned the bath on. I was scheduled for 45 min and was in the water (which becomes cold) for 75 min. Because the device was never turned on, I just sat for over an hour in semi-cold water and no detox, no ions pulling out toxins... just feet in water, becoming pruny and uncomfortable. I would recommend the staff check on patients early in the procedure and/or at least once in the 45-min. Unfortunately, this was too off-putting to return. read more

Whenever I've gone into the office, at times more often than others, depending on level of injury or other challenges, I come out feeling relieved ! It may take several visits to address ( esp when you continue working out or irritating what you're trying to resolve); however, know you can always count on them! Everyone in the office is friendly and efficient so if you've never been to a homeopath or an acupuncturist, it may pleasantly surprise you vs a regular western medicine doctor office. If you are looking to heal naturally at a reasonable cost, you my friend have just stumped upon a gold mine. I remember having to pay $300 just to be seen by a natural path to tell them everything that was going on with me and leave with nothing but another $200 appointment lined up. Here for $40 you can meet with the Doc and in most cases he will have you feeling better BEFORE you leave the building. The Doc. This man is a miracle worker, he's a genius, intuitive, and he is results driven. I have never felt more seen or heard as a patient than when I go here. Here are a list of things that I recommend trying: Ozone therapy- I had a surgery and tons of inflammation and pain. I kept telling my doctor that something wrong, but was gaslighted and told it was all in my head. I went to Natural Medicine and Detox and had an Ozone treatment that day to my foot. I went home and was freezing, which was crazy because in the summer it's 111 degrees out. I bundled up in blankets and took nap. I woke up feeling refreshed and when I looked at my foot ALL of the swelling had gone away in ONE treatment. I was floored. I have also done Ozone therapy through an IV and I've had great results. It cuts down on my pain, inflammation, and IBS. And when I did this after my last surgery my healing was 10x faster. If you pay attention to any of the bio hackers right now they all say this therapy is the MOST helpful healing modality. And if you're going to do this therapy in the valley you'll find the best price here. Acupuncture- I have had acupuncture by at least 15 other providers before I went to see the Doc. His acupuncture is unmatched, it is NEXT LEVEL. I had a pain in my foot for 4 months I was limping, had MRIs, wore a leg brace, had crutches, etc. I went in to see the Doc for something else, happened to mention my foot, he put ONE needle in my foot and I almost jumped off the table (normally acupuncture doesn't hurt at all) and 10 seconds later my pain completely went away and I had my life back. What I have felt to be most effective is acupuncture on the beamer table for 30 minutes. The Beamer table- HEAVEN. When you get acupuncture on the Beamer table, I feel, it amplifies the treatment 3x. After 15 minutes on the Beamer table you feel blissful. If you have any depression, anxiety, or pain I highly recommend this treatment. You lay on the table with all of your clothes on, minus shoes and cell phone and float off to la la land. I've laid on some amethyst tables before and felt nothing. This, however, is the real deal and inexpensive. Foot baths- I was a little skeptical about these at first but they really do work. I recommend doing this at least 3-4x to notice a benefit and you will see the difference in the water. With all of the heavy metals, polluted air and water, and chemicals in our food this is a must to help detox the body. Hypnotherapy- I've tried this a couple times with other providers and never felt anything, in fact, I thought it was some New Age BS. I was having a lot of anger towards a friend that wronged me I couldn't let it go for a year. Which was completely unlike me. I usually didn't get angry and I didn't know how to let it go. The Doc suggested that we try it, so I said why not. Wouldn't you know he did the treatment and boom, I feel nothing towards this friend anymore and I'm at peace. This man never ceases to amaze me. - TDP Lamp therapy- Ladies who have period pain or endometriosis-the Doc has given me Chinese herbal tea to increase blood flow/production before and during my period(it actually tastes good). I have also found relief using the TDP lamp they have there. If you are suffering from severe cramps and you can drive there, it's a miracle lamp and all of my pain goes away when I'm under it. This is actually a non-profit organization and I found out they are under new ownership and management but the original founder still comes in as a practitioner and course instructor. They have high quality, cold-pressed "juice du jour" thats designed (and premade from locally sourced farmers daily) to provide a great source of living enzymes and low sugar content. Although there are no detailed signs up yet ( for the juice) you can find then open Monday through Saturday and if you mention "Kola sent me" you can get an infrared sauna special with a colonic appointment! I can't say enough good things about the entire staff at Natural Medicine and Detox. I'm so very grateful to have found them. After almost a decade of multiple misdiagnoses including fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, & myofascial syndrome; then finding out in 2022 that I actually had mycotoxin (mold) illness (which is known as the great masquerador of diseases and often misdiagnosed). This place must have changed in the year since that last review was written. I went there the other day with a friend and my first impression was that it just didn't look clean. I was looking at some herbs and there was dust on the jars. I decided to get a juice from the raw juice bar. The woman wasn't particularly pleasant and asked, "what do you want?" I ordered a juice and I should have run for the hills as she pulled fruits from a plastic bag on the floor. Isn't that some type of health code violation? She made the juice, not saying a word. She then gave me the juice which was good enough, but it cost SEVEN DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS! I waited for my friend who was having a service and I heard some yelling in the back. I couldn't tell what it was but it was heated and obviously not appropriate for a business environment. Some tall Rastafarian looking guy came from the back walking around and all I wanted to do was hold my purse. My friend couldn't finish fast enough. I just wanted out of there. There are too many places that are clean, soothing staff is pleasant, prices are reasonable and you don't feel scared. This isn't one of them! Save your money! read more

If I could give a zero for this place I would. If your a fan of customer service... DON'T GO HERE! I came for an appointment at 9am (on a Saturday if you can believe it) and was very excited since this was my first appointment and I have been wanting to try this place. I arrived a few minutes early as I usually do for all of my appointments. I walk through the back (being unaware) and am hardly greeted by the receptionist. I stated my name and that I was here for my 9am appointment. She instructs me to take a seat and then begins conversing with I believe another receptionist and provider. Then she hands my some paperwork to fill out which is expected and which is why I came early. It takes me about 10 minutes to complete all of the forms. Then I stand up to hand them in but while I'm standing in front of the three for a couple of minutes I clearly am unable to get their attention because they are too busy gossiping about other clients and what not. I simply set the forms on the counter thinking that once they are finished they will notice the only customer in the building has completed what they asked me to do. After they finally noticed I am done with the forms one of the receptionists informs me that I completed the wrong paperwork, which was provided by the other receptionist by stating they were unaware I was here for a 9am hydrotherapy appointment? OBVIOUSLY, if the receptionist did their job to check the appointment then I would have completed the correct forms... But the worst is yet to come. Keep in mind, I've already been there for about 20 minutes. While I am filling out the correct forms I can here the receptionist in front of me dialing, who I assume is the provider who is supposed to perform the hydrotherapy. They ask the provider if they knew they had an appointment at 9am.... It turns out that the receptionist who scheduled my appointment did not let the provider know. She comes over and states the obvious that the provider isn't here and it will take another 20 minutes for them to get here??? The entire situation is completely irritating since a lot of the mistakes could've been avoided if the receptionists DID THEIR JOB!!!! They should've checked the appointment when I first arrived, gave me the correct forms to fill out, and by that time the provider would've been notified initially to allow time to come to the location. The sad thing is that even when they knew I was a new customer and had received the experience I did they did not offer any type of customer service to fix the situation. Needless to say I walked out of that place so fast and will never come back. read more
