I had a 90min massage by Mimi yesterday that was one of the best massages I have ever received. This is no small compliment because I love massage for relaxation at home and when I travel domestically and internationally. Mimi's massage style is unique- an integration of Chinese traditional massage and deep tissue massage with a touch of Thai massage. I love it and will go back again with my own sheet. The thing I don't like and hope the owner will make a change is about the sheet and towel on the massage table. I was told that they are changed for each customer and washed on a washing machine on site. But they don't look nor smell like freshly washed, and this can turn away many local customers. Exactly what I've been looking for! Have tried a few reflexology & "chinese" massage places in the RTP area trying to replace a wonderful place from the last city I lived in and had yet to find one. Happened upon this place& it's perfect! As others have said, this is not a typical "spa" and there's nothing particularly fancy but it's clean and they seem organized. There were several people working and seemed to be a few people receiving services and I was helped immediately. Had the 30 minute reflexology and 35 minute table massage($68) can't beat that price and I feel better than any chain place I've tried out. It's probably time to bite the bullet and give them the glowing review they deserve. This place is the best. I have had 15 massages here--I know because of the cards I get stamped when I go there--and every one of them has been awesome. It's not fancy. It's not a spa. They might answer the phone or switch massage therapists mid-massage. But they know what they are doing. They give a wonderful massage at a good price and they have convenient hours. I absolutely adore this place. The staff is incredibly friendly. They offer a variety of services at great prices. I've been here 5-6 times already. I've tried the table massage twice. The foot massage was a-mazing! I also had the greatest facial of my Life with Tina today. Walk-ins are welcome which is pretty convenient, but make sure you call before booking waxes, threading, or facials. This is now my new hotspot to get all of my spa needs met, and since they're open until 9pm most days you can even come unwind after work! The Natural spa has several rooms and they can also provide couples massages. Keep in mind this is not a formal spa spa but you still get a spa experience like no other, at prices you won't find anywhere else. I was in desperate need of a facial while visiting Raleigh and this was one of the few places open on Sunday and with available appointments. I was very pleased with my 50 minute facial. The aesthetician did a very thorough job with the extractions which is what I really wanted. She did a nice hand massage and leg massage for about 5 minutes toward the end. The place is clean with minimal decor. The staff speaks rudimentary English, but very welcoming (they even tried to talk my husband into a massage, but he needed to go elsewhere for a manicure). Though the additional frills of a hotel or upscale spa were missing, I was very pleased as the job got done for only $45. If I lived in the area, I would go monthly! read more

So my husband and I decided (on a whim) that we could both use a massage. Naturally, he wanted to find something for that same day and started to call around. He called a few chain locations (which claimed walk-in service) and no one had anything available. He finally called Natural Spa and the lady was kind and had space available immediately. We have heard not the best things about massage parlors which have same day service, and I tend to go to people who are booked for weeks in advance, so we were not expecting much (even) a bit fearful. As soon as the masseuse came in I my attitude totally changed. She was very confident in her technique and her hands were some of the strongest I've experienced. She didn't ask any questions (or waste any time) - she didn't need to. I could tell she was examining my body for areas of tension, and when she found one she worked diligently to relieve that tension. They applied hot stones and a liniment before asking me to flip (I got a table massage). I know from experience that this usually costs extra at typical "day spas" - but not here. It was just part of the one hour massage. This was hands down one of the BEST massages I've ever gotten - I will absolutely be going back. I can't imagine a better surprise than finding this gem of an establishment! With it being 4 days before Christmas, my usual, go to places were totally booked. In desperate need of a massage, I went in search online. I came across Natural Spa, read the reviews and decided to call them. I surprisingly got an appointment the same day and the time I asked for. With that said, I was a bit skeptical how good they would be, although the reviews online were outstanding. I decided on a 30 minute foot massage, followed by a 1 hour table massage. IT WAS OUTSTANDING! The facility is not a luxury spa, however it is clean, serene and peaceful. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. My massage even ended with hot stones! I was lucky enough to find this place the first week they opened and have been going there ever since. This is a small family run business and they are very friendly, professional, and courteous. I love this place and although I used to have a membership at Massage Envy, I have cancelled it and come here instead. The prices are affordable and it is much easier to schedule an appointment. In fact, I can usually walk in without an appointment and be seen either immediately or very quickly. They are open everyday with very convenient hours. I always get the table Massage, but my wife and daughter have also gotten facials and foot massages here. They are located in the Timberline Plaza and you really need to check them out! My first time reviewing any business, and I am a bit conflicted. I have been many times, and have to say the foot massage is the best I have had. They go way beyond what I would expect from any foot massage, and I always leave utterly relaxed and eager to go back. I have also had many full body massages, and these experiences are more mixed. I depend on who you get as to how good the service will be. All of my massages have been repeatedly interrupted and sometimes I am left on the table for a significant amount of time with no idea when they will return. I have fibromyalgia, and certain areas need a more gentle touch. There is one woman who seems to understand this and at least listens when I give feedback, so I have tried to explain I will wait for her to be available. I try to be pretty flexible and understanding that if I ask for her, she may be called away, but the problem is despite being assured I am understood, once I am on the table that is out the window. I wasn't aware there was a man working at all until midway through my massage the lady left and he was suddenly taking over. I am not comfortable with a man and said so, politely, only to wait a long time naked on the table for him to return and without a word, attempt to continue. I couldn't make him or the first woman understand, so I cut the massage short and was still charged for the entire massage. When I called to return with a friend, I made it clear I didn't feel comfortable with a man doing the massage, and again before I got on the table. I think the language barrier is a problem and really feel like they need someone who can communicate with customers better, which they don't seem to find of any importance. There were just the two women when my friend and I were put on the tables, but during our massages, which we did together in the same room, the women switched out repeatedly whenever another customer came in, and pretty early on the man appeared to take over my massage. I explained I would wait for her to return, so he moved to my friend's table, and she explained she too had requested a woman. He seemed angry and left the room. We sat for nearly half an hour, confused as to whether anyone would return before I finally dressed and went out to see what was going on. Both women were doing foot massages and the man was nowhere to be found. We were pretty frustrated by this point and decided to leave, but when we were told we would be charged the full amount for what was not even a third of our time, we refused and were told again we had to pay. We were tempted to just leave but I felt bad about it so I paid for both and left. I haven't been back. read more

My experience at a Natural Spa was a bit odd. I went around 5 on a weekday and only 2 women were working. One was free and able to assist me right away, but as she was working on my table massage she had to leave the room to greet the next arriving customer. Although the table massages are behind closed doors, the walls are very thin so you can hear all conversations. The man who arrived after me was also a first-time visitor and wanted a whole run-down of what services are offered and by whom. When he realized there were 2 women working there and one was younger than the other, he insisted on having the younger woman do his massage. The English abilities of both staff members were minimal, so it took them a while to figure this out. But I had to listen to the whole disgusting thing while I'm there trying to relax. I don't fault the staff for this sketchy customer, but I do think that having a male on staff and having a dedicated greeter with more advanced English skills would help. I should also note that the combo specials are a good deal (I had 30 mins table massage, 35 mins foot massage for $68), but the table massage focused on my back, and she didn't get work on my neck at all. The foot massage was good, but this is not true Tui Na massage, which is what I was hoping for. Facilities are clean. read more

This was my first visit (though I was told they had only been open for one month) and I was really impressed. The staff, though small, was friendly and helpful. The space is SO clean and calm...they really have this dialed in! I am a solid size 16 so I chose the only male on staff, Tom, to do both my back massage and foot massage. I had never had a male practitioner before but I'll not resist in the future, Tom was GREAT! I went for the 45 min on back, 45 min on feet, and for $88, I feel SO HAPPY. I will be back as often as I can do so. I highly recommend this place, especially if you have any kinks that need worked out; the massage was so good it felt more medicinal than just a luxury.
