I thought I was in good hands, considering she seemed like a professional with experience, but at the same time you know, I did show her inspiration photos from Pinterest. I made it clear that I wanted it to my shoulders. I never told her that I wanted it any shorter. Pretty much She gave me a boy haircut or a "Pixie Bob cut" but horribly cut. Looks like she put a bowl on my head and just cut around it. There's no style to it. There's nothing and also, it's very uneven in the back which I will attach the photos!!!!! a part of me, wants to go back into the salon and request my money back but I highly doubt that will happen!!!!!!! But I am devastated and I have been since I left the salon!!!!!! I didn't even wanna leave my house!!!!!! Roxanne Illiano Honestly I CRIED MY EYES OUT ONCE I LEFT SALON!!!! I am WAYYYY TOO NICE!!!! Plus I was very tired. I wasn't really feeling too good. All I know is I did not realize how short she cut my hair. I showed inspiration photos that were going to my shoulders, but my hair is literally I mean it is cut to my ears and on top of that it's very uneven in the back which I will attach the photos.... You would just think that because there was a lot of length that was taken off that maybe she would've said "hey so we've taken a couple inches off, do you want to keep going, do you like this length?" ECT.... And then I paid $55 plus gave her $15 tip when all I wanted to do was cry because I'm too nice and The whole time seemed really rushed and then as soon as we were done, she was very silent towards me, and then left the salon. Even one of the other hairdressers walked by when she was doing the cut and said "oh wow, I didn't know you were going that short" which when she said that it terrified me!!! But again I am way too nice!!!!! But what upsets me most is the fact that I had my friend take pictures of the back of my hair and it is uneven!!!! I mean, I can't even do anything with it. I even made it clear that I still want to be able to put it up at least in a ponytail for work I made it very clear that I knew that we had to take length off and I was OK with that and going to my shoulders but never did. She used to work at a large Westerly establishment and then took off to start her own gig. One day she called me up to tell me to come on over and become a customer. I really can't judge hair cut quality. I'm a middle aged male who wears his hair short and gets it cut every 4-5 weeks. It can't be too hard to cut my hair. But this is what I like about Uhngi...she complains about the places that charge $30 to cut men's hair. In her own way, she is implying that the client is getting ripped off, i.e., it's an easy hair cut, not too much skill required, not too much hair to cut, etc. And for these reasons, $30 is overpriced for the work performed. For $18 at Uhngi Shea's, I get a great cut...care and attention to detail, good advice about my hair. I always tip her, and why shouldn't I? With a tip, my cost is still about 30% lower than the rest of the local salons. Overall, I've been very satisfied with Uhngi since I first became a client. I don't always get my hair cut in Westerly, but when I do, I get it cut at Uhngi Shea's.

I figured I would maybe try to go but For one my hair is awful, for two the place is DEAD, for three the energy is NEGATIVE, and you just feel like a burden going there. I'm not sure what's going on but they need to get their act together or they won't be lasting much longer. It's sad to see this place fall apart like it is because it's a prime spot and was great- now not so much.
