If you are not a fan of non- grape wines, be advised that currants have a nuanced, sophisticated flavor -- not too sweet and a touch of " wild." My spouse and I came up eith all sorts of ideas for pairings and cooking with these wines. Our great find here was an oaked semisweet black currant wine -- delicious, with hints of vanilla and tobacco. Raspberry and pear wines are also for sale. The winery also offers cheese/ charcuterie snack plates and cheesecake -- the latter with your choice of currant or raspberry syrup. You can also purchase syrups, vinegar and teas made with winery fruit. The interior is spacious and comfortable, perfect for groups or parties.
