Probably one of the best party stores I have been to. An elite place to go. If you wish to throw a party then this would be the place to go. This place has probably one of the best selections of alcohol and cheeses. The only places that I have been to that has a better selection would be maybe 2 duty free airport shops in France and the Netherlands. You can spend a good half hour just looking through all the wines. They even had my favorite meads. No matter what you want, they are bound to have something. The deli is quite nice too. I haven't had any cheese or meat I didn't like. The staff is good at recommending selections of the deli. However, the staff isn't the best at recommending whiskey. But that would be extremely nit picky. I rate this place a 9.5/10. Well done for having a diverse selection. Anyone can come here and spend a fortune but people can get some good stuff without spending an arm and a leg. Service is quite good. It's a good place. Joining with Crust is also good. read more

The first time I visited was for the cheese counter with friendly service and generous samples. They have such a big selection and a wide variety of alcohol as well. I spotted several beers and ciders that I couldn't find at Cork & Ale, which is why I returned. I mean, the cheese was good but I don't buy the fancy stuff that often.. it was definitely the beers that caught my eye! They have a lot of singles already separated so I can try new ones without committing to a 4 or 6-pack. (: I don't drink wine that often but they do have a wide variety and helpful employees who are more than willing to help you pick a good bottle for the occasion. The prices are obviously a little high but for the hard-to-find items I am willing to pay it. Nice selection for a small town, but certainly not "remarkable". I think Eastman Party Store must have invented Price Gouging. Coming from a city in California, I would say the wines here are 40% higher in cost. The French Champagne prices are jacked way up here as well. Normally Veuve Clicquot sells for around 35 dollars a bottle, Eastman jacks it to 45.00+ I know the state controls the minimum price of hard liquor, but damn, Eastman manages to jack up the prices that are already artificially high. A cheap bottle of Glen Fid is 35 at most places, 46 here. read more

So much good to say about them! We were greeted as soon as we walked in! The staff was so nice! We needed Raclette cheese and they guided us to the cheese counter. Holy crap! There was so much cheese! A huuuge case filled with deliciousness! There were even glorious samples! And the guy that waited on us knew his stuff too! He was really nice! He even knew what wines to pair with our cheese. He also had us sample a truffle Gouda cheese, and we took some of that too. There was a girl at the other counter who helped us with wines. Used to b a 5-star review, now much lower because of attitude and prices. They seriously mark up their prices. Last week I got a single bottle of Brooklyn Blast for $4.75. Got a four-pack in Lansing for $7.60. They also, as of last week, have a Stone Enjoy By 7.04.14 on their shelves for the full price of $7.99 - not even reduced, despite clearly being expired. One of our very favorite stops in Midland. They have a remarkable selection of wines and beers -- we have an ongoing $15-and-under wine contest at our house, and we've found some great inexpensive wines here. (Although if price is not an obect you'll find some great expensive wines here too.) We are also fans of the deli counter -- a great selection of domestic and international artisanal cheeses, again in a broad enough price range to please many customers. We appreciate being able to find so many ethnic and specialty foods here -- living in a tiny rural community north of Midland, it would be very difficult for us to obtain some of those trendy/exotic recipe ingredients if Eastman weren't around. Most of the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. My advice to local shoppers unused to specialty food stores like this, who may have hesitated to visit Eastman: Don't be intimidated...ask questions, ask for samples at the deli and have fun. read more

Brought a bottle of Fratelli Revello Barolo 2015. I was so excited to enjoy this $50 bottle of wine with my wine on a Friday night during Covite 19. This wine was off/ spoiled/did taste like a wine or even close to what this wine should taste like. I have heard up to 10 % of wine can be spoiled. I understand that and expect it. After tasting the wine and deciding this is not what a Barolo tastes like. I went on line and looked up the tasting notes for this wine/vintage. After reading the reviews I was correct this wine was off/bad. I went to Eastman and After speaking to the owner or manager he reassured me the wine was fine. He told me it was young and the region it comes from taste like this. Such as , wet stone, almost no fruit, all acidity and tennis. The nose/ smell did not show the true bouquet this wine can and should show. I have worked as a wine rep for 20 years. Eastman showed very bad customer service. Heads up when shopping for wine at this store. read more

It is not bad, they have some good beer and wine and the international foods is amazing. The only thing i take away from that is there unwillingness to order things that they do not have. One of the best stores in Midland. It is pretty pricey, depending on what you buy. There are others that have mentioned the price markup, which I believe it definitely true.
