Our wedding ran on time (and even ahead of schedule) with the help of our coordinator, Zo. Cannot recommend them enough! While planning our wedding, my fiance and I were convinced we didn't need a professional planning company to help us. When an event is executed flawlessly, it's most likely because someone was doing a lot of hard work behind the scenes to make sure everything goes smoothly. In our case, we were so lucky that that person was Mel. My husband and I were able to let go and revel in the celebration, and we couldn't have done that without Mel's careful coordination. She was so well organized, communicative, calm, and patient throughout the whole process. She does so much more than just show up on the day of the event. Let me share this from the perspective of people who never wanted to hire a wedding planner .... ( but our venue required it. ) First, my wife and I wanted to find a company that's inclusive to ALL kinds of love. Naturally Yours fit the bill. During our introductory phone call, they asked for my pronouns, which really made a positive impression on me that they would care about that area. They found a price package that made sense for us. We went with the "Day Of Plus" ... which guarantees all the important support on the day of your wedding, plus additional meetings to plan thru decor/design. Our first real meeting was with Tempris. And she was great! For two people who never wanted to hire a wedding planner ... we had such a fun time creating our "vision board" ... (that we didn't know even existed for weddings) ... but became super helpful in handing over to possible florists and Photo Booth vendors, even our venue. Tempris was so kind and helpful. She sent us on our way after that meeting, feeling well-equipped to hire vendors. A few months later, we were paired with our lead coordinator, Liz, and she was a great fit for us as a couple. How important is that? Super important ... think about it, Liz became our "third wheel" in almost everything in the planning process. Who wants to hang with a "dud" third wheel? :) ... (And things we wouldn't have thought about) Wedding Day? Liz was our MVP. She went above and beyond coordinating so many things. Stopped by our hotel to say hello to everyone getting ready, communicating with our vendors in what was probably 1500 text messages/emails back and forth ... and not all of them were easy to coordinate with! Where do I even begin? Kristen wowed me from our first phone call with her thoughtful questions and genuine enthusiasm, and it only got better from there. We engaged NYE for "day-of" coordination, but it was SO much more than that. My (now) husband and I had an incredibly thorough introductory meeting with Kristen months before our wedding date, and another two weeks before in which she walked us through every single detail of how we wanted our wedding to go. After interviewing with a few different wedding coordinator groups, we decided to go with Lauren from NYE. We have zero regrets with this decision! We actually signed the contract without meeting Lauren in-person, but after a few minutes on the phone with her, we knew it was going to be a great fit and that she knew what she was doing. We hired Lauren for the 2-month lead up and for day-of coordination. This was money well spent. We had busy schedules with work, and she kept on track with all the details. We had two in-person meetings with her that were very thorough. She pointed out so many things that we would not have considered on our own. At our final walk through meeting at the venue, she was in full control, asking questions that we would not have thought of. Her attention to detail was amazing and much appreciated. Carlene is everything we hoped for and more. Our wedding was absolutely flawless and we know that couldn't have been possible without her and her assistant Lauren. We hired Carlene as our "day-of coordinator" but she was anything but that. She helped us a few months before the wedding making sure all our ducks were in a row, managing all our vendors, making sure we had plans to get all tasks completed. She is so organized, yet cool, calm and collected. She is who you want by your side on your wedding day! On my wedding day, after 15 months of planning, I got so sick that I ended up in the emergency room getting IV's just to make it through my day. Carlene was contacted and handled it. She contacted all vendors giving them a heads up of my horrific situation and remained calm. Thankfully, I ended up being okay and making my wedding and all events on time. I met with both Kristen & Carlene. Carlene did my sister's wedding which was absolutely flawless. Kristen did mine and I felt I was SOO at ease. When I met with Kristen to go over the details she was on top of the game. She knew exactly the things to ask and what to look for. Having her as my wedding planner my day when absolutely so smoothly. Everyone says that things will come up and not everything is perfect but Kristen truly made it perfect!! My husband and I worked with Lauren West at Naturally Yours Events for partial planning services for our October 2020 wedding... which turned into a June 2021 wedding! Starting at our very first meeting, Lauren did an excellent job of listening to my husband and I and really understanding what was important to us for our wedding. She was professional, very organized, and was great about reminding us of details that we would have certainly otherwise overlooked. When we had to postpone our wedding due to Covid-19, Lauren and Carlene were very understanding and helped us through the process of contacting all our vendors to reschedule. In the months that followed, Lauren was great about keeping in touch, even when we were very unsure of whether our wedding would even happen. Leading up to our wedding day, Lauren became an amateur public health expert and stayed on top of all the latest rules and restrictions. She kept us optimistic and focussed on planning a safe celebration that still incorporated the elements that were most important to us. After all, you're organized and you have plenty of people out there who are "willing to help"........ I'm here to tell you, yes, yes you do. I was just like you, trying to decide if a day of coordinator would really be worth it, and honestly, hiring Naturally Yours was probably the smartest money we spent on the wedding. Thanks to them I had the wedding of my dreams on 12/13/14. They were able to take a wedding that could have been absolute chaos (smaller venue holding both ceremony and reception in the winter) and turn it into a dream. I originally met with Carlene and immediately liked her and the premise of Naturally Yours. Unfortunately she was already booked for a wedding on my day, but their up-and-coming planner Jessie was still available and thank god she was. Let me tell you, there are not enough superlatives out there for me to express how wonderful Jessie is. She is incredibly nice and friendly but will absolutely kick ass to get your wedding perfect for you. She wants to know exactly how you envision your day to be and will work her hardest to make sure that vision comes true. I'm definitely what you would call a Type A personality, so at first I had a bit of trouble handing over the reigns. Once I got to know Jessie and realized how awesome she was at this whole wedding planning stuff, I had no problem trusting her to take care of all the details and she did such an amazing job. She set up our decorations beautifully - I actually gasped when I first walked into the venue, I was so shocked at how great it looked. Also, she took care of everything. I'm sure things went wrong that day because there were a ton of moving pieces, but I don't know of a single one. Jessie just handled everything (even making sure my wine glass was adequately filled) so I was able to relax and actually enjoy all of my wedding. I can't recommend them enough. If you think you don't need a wedding planner or a day of coordinator A: you are wrong and B: you need to hire Naturally Yours (NYE) TLDR: We worked with Kristen Wilfinger as a day of coordinator. She did WAY more than day of work helping us make sure we had thought through all the details ahead of time. And then during the wedding OMG every step of the way we were able to enjoy the party because she was there directing people, making sure everything ran smoothly, even making sure we made time to eat and be alone together for a few moments (which was so important and we never would have have thought to do so) DETAILS: My new hubs and I just got married in September and were planning our wedding in Chicago from Seattle. We reached out to NYE based on a referral from a friend and they were great from first call through party time. We ended up going with day of coordination service only (since we weren't doing a ton of things, smaller wedding...etc) but in hindsight we should have hired them day one. We worked with Kristen Wilfinger. She was so much more than a day of coordinator. She lives and breathes wedding planning and will ask you all the thoughtful questions you're not thinking of as a bride to be. There are a nauseating amount of details that goes into planning such an important party. And so many things to consider. Kristen helped us navigate them all, knew the space and some of the venues unique challenges and had worked with many of our vendors, so was able to leverage her relationships with them to help through all the scheduling. She was a blast to talk to and hang out with. She was also extremely flexible with us given the time difference and having several convos over the phone form Seattle. Well like most other reviews I really don't know we're to start. We were suppose to have our wedding last year in August and like many other we had to postone. We had a previous wedding coordinator and she was awful. Caused so much unneeded stress. After a while we decided it would be better to do things on our own vs with the old planner. About a month went by and we realized we had no idea what to do. I looked around and stumbled on naturally yours events based on the reviews. I called in and got a call back maybe 10 minutes later. The wedding was only 60 days away and Kristen was already booked up with two other weddings that month. Knowing she couldn't do it she stilled stayed on the phone for an hour to help us out as she felt so bad for our situation. She called back a day later and said she wasn't going to let us go through something so bad again. I mean what a sign of relief. Someone with an actually functioning heart. Hard to come across these days. She was amazing from beginning to the end. She reminded us of tasks made recommendations and always called back same day of not minutes later.
