They were very beautiful dogs; our only mistake was getting two at one time. So, we brought them back to the shelter. They seemed disappointed, But we thought we were doing the right thing. They both found a home and I'm very happy about that. But we went to adopt another dog and they turned us down, said this dog was very energetic and would not be a good fit for us. To be judge n jury to people who wanted to adopt an animal out of the shelter. We were very upset and still see it up for adoption. We have a awesome dog at home and she is trying to play with the cats. The cats don't want to play with her, since she is a lot bigger then them. We have a 1/2 acker yard for them to play in. My animals are spoiled, ask my friends. So, if you're going to be that way with people, maybe you should find a different job. So, if you're looking to adopt an animal, you should go to Hernando Sheriffs adoption center.

My mom suffered a traumatic injury, through no fault of her own. She was released to her home after several months in rehab. Two different Medicare agencies she was assigned then arranged my mom's "personal care" needs to MFCS. She was eligible for 10 hours a week (2 visits for 5 hours), not nearly enough but it was a start. My mom's share was to be $50 a month based on her income. The long & short of it, she has yet to see 10 hours of care in one week from this agency yet. I'd guess she's barely seen 10 hours total in 2 months of service. One worker refused to dump a commode (mind you my mom is considered non-weight bearing and could not access her bathroom at the time). I was down there at time when the 2nd worker came (was told we needed to take the help when available eventhough I was helping my mom at that time). I witnessed the worker prattling on about how it wasn't "enough hours or money to be worth her time." She then went on & on about how she was from Guatemala & found her American yacht captain husband & how she didn't need to work that this was just her spending money for her trips to the Bahamas. I watched this as she spoke to my sick, elderly and incapacitated mom, who spent her lifetime working her butt off and paying into Medicare - only to get this shitty treatment. The woman drove a brand new high end SUV & then made some excuse about why she wouldn't be returning after 1 visit. No arrangements were made for a replacement...mind you had I not been there for my visit, my mom would've been without any physical assistance for 3 weeks. I live out of state and had to return to work. I got so disgusted by getting the runaround that I desperately called a private agency to arrange for care. I am cleaning out a savings account & now took on a second job to pay for the care. In the interim, my mom switched agencies and again MFCS was assigned for the personal care. Again 1 worker showed up exactly twice. The first time for about 4 hours. The second time for 1.5 hours and then again said she would not be returning as she had private clients. What I want to know & am working on finding out is whether Medicare or any other taxpayer funded agency is being billed for services my mom is not receiving? Are these workers double dipping? Are they getting paid by these state agencies while also maintains private clients who can afford more? Is MFCS in on it - in other words, does MFCS turn a blind eye to workers not showing (but still pays them) as long as they keep getting funding?

I had a terrible experience with Habitat for Humanity free pickup of large donations. I had called…read morein early February and booked a free pickup for March 12, 2020. The Habitat truck came at 4:00 p.m. on March 12 and announced they didn't have room in the truck for my donations. The workers assured me they would be there by 9:00 a.m. the next day. At 10:00 I called since they had not come. The lady answering the phone said the workers had a full schedule that day and were not coming by to pick up my items! What kind of management decision is that--to throw a donor under the bus because they couldn't handle me on the previous day? Why did I lose my place in line after having pre-scheduled for over a month? I would never rely on the Brooksville Habitat for Humanity for a free donation pick up.

She says to me in a stern drill Sargent voice " can you please make your daughter sit down" I looked at her and said " I have tried to make her sit the whole time I've been in here ". She then says to me " well your her mother! " surprised by her response I said "I know that! " then she spouts out "I'm just concern for her safety" and just stood there acting like she wasn't going to ring up my items at all till she sat down..my daughter was doing nothing wrong!! Every single time my parents naively continue to take ridicule from one in particular staff member with blonde hair and her condescending attitude for the sake of saving some of their hard earned pension. I feel obligated to tell our community what I have witnessed as very unacceptable customer service. My Dad is hard of hearing and as a result he speaks loudly. The staff member in question threatened to throw him out of the store and did not care one bit that I explained he was hard of hearing. Just so everyone knows my Dad is always respectful just has bad hearing and cannot hear himself sometimes. Another instance my mother asked for a price and when she uttered respectively she believed it was entirely too high the staff member said," well we don't serve your kind then" . My Mom respectively asked what she meant and the staff member then said, " white trash like you." I was floored and at that time I purposely dropped the clothing items at the register and told my parents to do the same I even complained to their adjacent office manager. The last time I was in the store I asked about a price for a door, because it wasn't marked, and the manager just threw a number at me and when I complained that it was much higher than the other doors she, snottily, told me "we're not a give away store". With that said I knew we have JUST crossed into a kill zone and was LEFT BEHIND. The program didn't leave room for error but rather a placed were my word vs their word. My dog Zena came in with one strike hanging over her head which she shouldn't have had. Your program FAILED me and left me in a dark space.
