Because the boat barely moved, there was no wind at all, and we were stuck sitting in the scorching heat. When we complained, the manager didn't even try to help. Instead, she started yelling at us. She first claimed that higher speeds were "illegal" in the area. Then she also told us that the captain was still learning to operate the boat, as if that somehow justified the experience. I honestly don't understand what that has to do with the time and money I paid for. Customers shouldn't be paying full price to be part of someone's training. This felt like false advertising and a complete waste of time and money. If you're expecting a real speedboat ride, avoid this company and book somewhere else.

Calvin even bated the hooks, untangled my lines and taught us how to reel the rods. I caught nothing. But my son and his friend Mikey both caught huge King Fish. Calvin gutted them and scaled them -and handed us over the freshest most delicious fish we've had- ever. There were some serious fisherman on the boat too- which makes me believe that this experience is good for both novices like us and pros. The last two dive trips that we have done with them were great and we had a wonderful time. I have done approximately 20 dives with this company. However, this last time the guides were so disconnected. Michael and Dololly in the shop were so helpful but as soon as we got on the boat we were basically on our own. The only person that was even remotely helpful was Marco, who we had dove with before. He seemed to be the only guide that knew how to man the boat. Riley was absolutely clueless and rude. She was the guide that stayed on the boat to help us on/off the boat and while my mother was trying to get back on, she let go of her without warning leading to her falling and gashing open her leg. When I asked my mom what happened to her leg Riley snidely commented well she fell on the boat. Then while she was helping me get on the boat she grabbed my air gauge causing me to almost fall as well. One of the guides, didn't catch his name, was drinking alcohol on the boat before and after the dive while certifying a 10 year old boy. I don't understand how this is allowed. Furthermore, our guide left us in the middle of the dive. He eventually showed up but did not seem able to navigate under water as the previous guides had. Which was very nerve wracking considering the currents we were moving into. He also did not help with getting on and off of the boat for the dives. He was very disengaged with our group and did not seem to want to even be a guide. Overall, a bad experience sadly as we have enjoyed our previous trips with them. It seems their guides have become much less knowledgeable and supportive than they used to be. Most dive guides are personable and want to share their dive knowledge, however this group seems to be more about just getting it done.

The captain provided was not only skilled and knowledgeable but also friendly and accommodating, making our entire trip even more enjoyable. The only advise I'd say is make sure you tell your captain you got jet skiis. I almost didn't mention it assuming they knew. But when I asked where we stop for jet skiis after planning the route we had a minor change in the route because they advised they weren't told and sometimes it's not communicated. They also had several charters a day so I understand anyone can make a mistake. Always good anyway to cover all ends and not assume. Oh, one more thing to keep in mind. Day of charter, the captain texts you from a different number. They tell you to go to a different address that's not the listed one for this company. The address the captain gives you is the actual dock where they pick you up. Going into this blind, this would've been a good piece of mind to know because it looked a little sus. But just let the guy at the gate know which boat you're there for and who your captain is and he will have knowledge. our experience was nothing short of exceptional. The service is always so pleasant.
