The fish and shrimp were passable. The scallops were disappointing, as were the fries. The calamari rings were absolutely vile. Like they had been burned to a crisp, an then re-battered and refried? The consistency of an old shoe lace. Apollo Bay is a coastal town. There is no excuse for serving something that clearly came onto the plate by way of a long stint in a freezer. And even if you do frozen stuff, there is no excuse to fuck it up the way they did. Do yourself a favor and keep away.

And it's no wonder, the poor bloke operating the coffee machine has to run coffees out to tables in between making them while the inept and personality deficient till operator struggles to take orders. Meanwhile, the "crepe chef" meanders about in the background doing his prep while customers queue up at the till and then move along for a painfully long wait for their average coffees. Fawlty Towers comes to mind watching this lot. Both times we went here, simple takeaway coffee orders took 20 mins... even when they were not very busy. First time the coffee was pretty good. Second time. One was terrible and the other average.

Well you guessed it, the scrambled eggs were delivered not as ordered but on top of the fruit toast. Who in their right mind would put the scrambled eggs on top of fruit toast? Ever after it was specified on the side. Well you might think that mistakes happen, and you would be right, so my wife went up to the counter to point out the error and spoke to a senior employee, pointing out the error, she huffed and snatched the plate without even apologizing. Well eventually her breakfast came out, the same senior staff member huffed and said "Is everything alright now?" We said yes, and would you believe it she then said "Thank God".
