I like the fact that there are feral cats living on this jetty, ever so close to the Dog Beach in OB. These wild ocean cats lay on these warm jetty rocks like furry little iguanas, sunning themselves and being annoyed by people like me that meow at them and try to pet them. It looks like someone is feeding them and giving them water. I like to think of them as wild cats living off of what they catch in the ocean, and the odd slow human that slips and falls into the rocks, but I have too much of a fantasy life obviously. Another reason I like Hospitality Point is all the birds. You can watch Pelicans plunging into the water catching fish as they lull about in the flood channel. Egrets stand still in the middle of the flood channel contemplating the wild cats, dog beach, and their conspicuous stance betwixt, of course I am projecting. Finally, I like the fact that you can fish off of the jetty at Hospitality point. You can fish the flood channel side, or the South Mission side. But you need a fishing license. The pelicans seem to prefer the flood channel side.

They mostly have games at nights starting 6:30 PM all the way to 11PM. They haver numerous leagues ranging from Coed, Just women or just Men Leagues. If you love the sport and want to join a team but you don't know anybody they will match you with teams that need players. People here are pretty friendly and are there to just have fun. They have huge bathrooms with space to get ready for your game. Prices are pretty reasonable and the fact that the fields are artificial there are games all year around. Rain or shine!!!

Yes, the pride of the Roseville area, which is this very tiny chapel, is seeking official recognition from the feds. Built in 1922 & measuring just 12 feet by 20 feet, it was constructed entirely from donations given by the Portuguese-American community. The idea was to build something like the countryside praying chapels reminiscent of what was found in the Mother Country. I have been to the chapel for various family events through the years and though it is small, the Gothic Revival architecture is very charming. The clapboard exterior walls and neatly trimmed corners of the windows and doors give the chapel a very simple but pious appearance. According to a story in the Pennisula Beacon newspaper, "the entry doors are flanked by stained-glass windows featuring a centered crown motif." And for that reason, the chapel is where the beloved Crown of the Holy Spirit is on display. Despite the tight fit inside, this chapel is really suitable for solitary praying and not big services or congregational events. Right now at the holidays, there is a creche displayed on the steps of the chapel and small twinkling white lights rim the chapel's exterior. "Achieving this designation in the National Register has long been sought by the generations of Portuguese in the community," said Association President Carl Silva.
