The walls are paper-thin, and the adjoining-room locks looked flimsy enough to be defeated by a stiff breeze. For a hotel that's supposedly "almost brand new," it already looks shockingly run down. But the real deal-breaker? **The cleanliness.** Or lack thereof. The moment we walked in, a massive stain on the bedspread set the tone. The pillows looked suspiciously slept in--and sure enough, when we moved them, we found **food crumbs and hair in the bed**. The toilet was also dirty. Honestly, it felt like someone came in, had a snack, took a nap, dropped a deuce, and peaced out... and housekeeping never got the memo. We didn't unpack. We didn't sit down. It advertises they have the largest pool in Pirate'cola right on their sign out front, on Pensacola Blvd, you can't miss it. Recently, moi decided that I didn't like my laundry room, the way it was set up at my new home, here in Pirate'cola. There was a lot of extra unused space in it, so I decided I wanted to add a canned food pantry & half bath to it. We grow a lot of tomatoes, I make a lot of sauce. We make a lot of meatballs.. So, long story short, one day while the construction was going on with all the knockin & bangin, hubby had some very important zoom meetings scheduled so we needed a quick, quiet escape. haha. The morning of our spontaneous planned escape, the weather report said it was going to be 106 degrees. Hotter than a three-dollar pistol in a Prohibition saloon. I remembered passing the "biggest pool in Pirate'cola sign" & right then, it came to me, I just knew, that this was our E ticket ride to paradise. OuiOui. We called up and made a reservation pronto, grabbed our bathing suits & popped right on over for our quick day getaway. Hubby & I grabbed some coffees in the lobby, we were shocked how good they were, everyone was very pleasant, on the up & up. Hubby headed doubled fisted to the room, set up his computer & kicked back in the AC like a Boss, did his back to back meetings, took care of business. That's the way my guy rolls. Business before pleasure, always. No funny business. We then hit the pool for 5 hours straight. It was beautiful. There was no one there but us. We had the whole pool to ourselves. It's yuge & over 8 feet deep. We brought our beach floats, gear, streamed some Sinatra, Lived it up rollin in the deep. Did it our way. We only stayed till 5:30pm as our wise guy construction workers were gone by then, so we went back home, we didn't need to stay the night. Nothing personal, just family business. We did roll around in the bed like gangsters before we left thou. It was comfy. It was very nice. We did some spring cleaning. Very clean job. I joked around, called hubby "Marty" told him it was a stick up & to give me $50 large. The rest is history, I made a oath, code of silence. It was a HOT day. Never let a crisis go to waste. We liked this outfit, we successfully escaped & nobody got pinched. (code of silence) Lookin forward to the next job. Will def return with the Boss man. Coffee's good. Recommend.

The room was super clean. WiFi worked flawlessly and the television was newer with a decent selection of channels. The room was equipped with a microwave, fridge, safe, desk etc. I planned on staying a week while I was looking at real estate in the area. I ended up forgoing my search and returned to Colorado early. As such I needed a refund for part of my stay. This is a decent size motel with several buildings and lots of moving parts. My exit was quite sudden as I drove back to Colorado in a hurry. The staff was diligent in ensuring my credit card was credited appropriately. The cleaning crew was friendly and kind hearted. The front desk shined. I wish I took better notes. But Andrew was amazing and Carla all the women were fantastic. I can't say enough. Great service. Thank you.

The drinks were great! The food was outstanding, our server was beyond attentive and friendly, and everything about our meal was exactly what we hoped for. Unfortunately, I'm writing this because a nearby table became noticeably upset during the evening after part of their order was delayed. While I understand delays can be frustrating, I watched the server and then the manager handle the situation with patience, professionalism, and genuine concern. They apologized multiple times, offered extras to make up for the inconvenience, and did everything they reasonably could to make things right. The most concerning part happened as that table was leaving. One of the guests confronted the manager and launched into a loud, personal verbal attack that went far beyond expressing dissatisfaction. The finger-pointing, the repeated comments telling her she "should be ashamed of herself," and the overall treatment made the atmosphere uncomfortable for everyone nearby. It was completely disproportionate to the situation, especially considering how hard the staff had worked to resolve I just want the server, the manager, and the rest of the staff to know that our experience was the complete opposite of that unhappy table's. We left happy, well-fed, and appreciative of everyone working that evening. No one deserves to be personally attacked while simply trying to do their job, ESOECIALLY after making every reasonable effort to fix a problem. And thank you to anyone who took the time to read this. I know it turned into a bit of a story, but I felt it was important to share what I witnessed and to recognize the professionalism of the staff that evening. We will 1000% be back!
