I told him that my other dentist with disagrees with them. He then told his assistant to take off my napkin and he told me to get up out of there. I asked him why and what did I do wrong and he refused to answer. When I came back and asked him to complete the service he called me a "crazy ass". Full story: Place is not clean. I came here one week and the receptionist was RUDE and told me to come back because she couldn't verify my insurance. Mind you, this should've been done before I went to the office. I come back weeks later. This happened. He attempted to pull my teeth out with his hands, no tools. Kept telling me I have a nice mouth in a creepy way and referred to me as "baby" instead of my name. I let it pass because I needed my tooth out. Numbed my mouth, asked me about root canal and I told him I hear a lot of negativity around root canals, then he kicks me out. Mouth still numb and all. She…read moredidn't advise me prior to the local anesthesia that this procedure should be done by an oral surgeon. She instead placed the needle directly INTO THE EXPOSED NERVE. I was in EXCRUCIATING pain and when I exclaimed and moved my arms from the dental assistant who was trying to hold my arms down, Dr Day told me she wouldn't perform the procedure if I'm going to be "combative". Very distasteful. Also, had I not stopped her from running away after the tooth was taken out, she would've forgot to place the sutures I paid an extra $115 for. I hope the idea that black people have higher pain tolerances didn't play a part in her decision to place the needle DIRECTLY into the exposed nerve. These days, you never know. Front desk was nice.

Since moving to the East side of the city, I have been putting off finding a dentist and honestly only discovered ENF out of necessity and panic due to a broken crown. But what was a not so great moment turned into a great find and a new dentist! And oddly enough, they are located right beside my PT office, so it seems like a weird destiny based thing...and all it took was my 20+ year old crown to break on a turkey meatball on a Thursday afternoon. I am super thankful for the staff and Doctors here! I called at 12pm on a Thursday afternoon looking for a dentist to help with a cracked crown. I was not expecting much as I would be a new patient, so I knew there would be a process of getting in. I had a trip in a few days and would be away for over a week, so I was really hoping for immediate help, but was also ready to cancel my trip if needed. Well, the team at ENF got me in within 2 hours and had a temporary crown in place within 3.5 hours of my initial call. INSANE! Not only did they squeeze me in as a new patient, they were PHENOMENAL from the phone call to check-in to services performed to check out and beyond. Legit the most helpful, kind and friendly group of folks I have ever encountered at a dental office. I now have a follow up for my permanent, and have established the ENF team as my go-to dental spot moving forward. The location is in East Nashville and is convenient, always clean and welcoming environment even they have free WiFIi. They work with many insurance companies and they can help you to budget your services you just need to talk to them and explain the situation. They even have a cancelation list if you need an appoint sooner for the type of care you need. I have to mention "Casey" my hygienist she is incredible in so many ways and again so thankful I found this place I am super happy.

Dr. Eckel checks in at the end of the appointment, is efficient and polite, always asks whether you have any questions. Cons: Allow extra time to park. Ongoing construction nearby plus busier days around the office complex have made things tricky--sometimes I find parking right away, sometimes it can take me up to 10 minutes.

She was answering the phone and (he admitted) did not know to check. Since we were only seen there, they knew when we were to be seen again. He stated she didn't know how to do the appointment, yet he was going to charge us, until we said no. Later, we tested positive for COVID prior to our appointments. We called and were told that there would be a fifty dollar cancellation fee. We asked for clarification that it was fifty dollars, all together, as there were 2 of us. It was confirmed. We later got a text saying it was, in fact, one hundred dollars. We phoned several times, left messages, and were not given the courtesy of a reply. We instead got a nasty text from his office stating that he had given us a break before (when his mother clearly made the mistake) so, we were to pay the fee, including the extra fifty dollars. We truly have no idea if he is good at dentistry, since we never really saw him. Though, we are sure our dental insurance was billed as if we did, for years. We can attest to his business practices. He does not care if he keeps good patients. We can only think that his temper gets the best of him. What other reason to treat good patients like he did. He is a shady business man. They literally beg you to leave good reviews. And, text you the same after the visit! Avoid at all costs.

I went to get another opinion and met an amazing dentist who told me I was lied to. He said for me to see Dr Clayton for a third opinion. Damn I am glad I did. After Dr. Clayton evaluated my situation, he came up with a game plan. Now, I'm paying about $600 out of pocket, instead of 10 k worth of unnecessary work done. Such a great Dentist.
