This occurred after the dentist asked her to only do one task while he worked on another patient, and then she did several other tasks she was not at all qualified to complete that he told her NOT TO DO. She didn't stop when I attempted to stop her. He came back briefly at the end, and when I asked a question about one of the fillings, he rolled his eyes and ground the tooth down while saying it didn't need it. I have nerve damage on that side so I was not asking for it to be ground down, just had a question about a sensation. He also did not stop when I protested. Horrifying and appalling. Left with pain, trauma and several damaged teeth (one chipped, one cracked, and several ground down beyond recognition). They also ground down my canines for no discernable reason. The office girl is nice, that's the only thing even somewhat acceptable here. I was new to town, so it took me way longer than it should have to make a legitimate review instead of only warning the friends and family I know personally. You couldn't pay me to go back.

My mother-in-law went in for oral surgery to have her teeth pulled, and right before the procedure, they suddenly came in and sprung a hidden fee on us for the laughing gas. This was never mentioned beforehand, not during scheduling, not during the consultation, nothing. Only right before surgery did they decide to bring it up. That is completely unacceptable and shows how disorganized and misleading their practice is. Patients should always know the full cost upfront, not be pressured with surprise charges right before surgery. If they can't even be transparent about something as basic as costs, how can anyone trust them with actual dental care? We will never return here, and I would strongly caution anyone considering this office to look elsewhere for a dentist that is honest, organized, and professional.

Here's my issue, my husband was going to have some teeth pulled and eventually a denture put in. Projected estimates for what we were getting was going to be between $7-10 thousand dollars. So that is a lot of money but they said it would be spread out over around 6 months so it wouldn't be due all at once. Luckily we have the money in savings but it's still a huge chunk. I decided to use a partial check/partial credit card payment so as not deplete our savings all at once. I wanted to save where I could so I called about 2-3 weeks before my husband's scheduled procedure to see how much we would need up front. While on the call (with the billing lady) I asked tons of billing and procedural questions. I don't like surprises when dealing with this about of money. In our about 10 min conversation she didn't once say that there was a charge for using credit cards. In all the billing questions I asked her, she didn't feel the need to say "hey, there's a 3% charge if you use a card". 3% on a several thousand dollars is an extra couple hundred! So we get there the day of the surgery and still nothing was said when we checked in. Not until after my husband come out with bandaged mouth and we're checking out, did she say "oh, there's a 3% charge on cards". When our hands are tied!!! After I have been sitting in the lobby for an hour when I could have spent that time get a cashiers check or something if I had known. I'm in utter shock and I said to her "I called you to ask you beforehand so I would have no surprises like this" I was angry! She goes on this spill about how they haven't raised their prices in 3 years and they don't charge it the credit card company does. None of which was my issue. THE ISSUE was, when I was asking all those billing questions weeks before or even when we came in NOTHING WAS SAID! like... "hey this bill that is several thousand dollars is going to be a couple hundred more because you are using a card" I mean wtf! That should be told when you are making the appointment or on their website or something. So in conclusion I was charged $100 extra last min when I could have made arrangements and saved myself that money, had this not been dropped in my lap last minute. I literally could have filled my car up 2.5 times with that money. I'm still mad about it because I made the effort to call in advance to make sure stuff like this was avoided. I can say though that the doctor was outstanding! His work on my husband was impeccable. He took great care with my husband and had it not been for the billing debacle that cost me extra, I would have easily given 10 stars if I were able because the doctor was so great. FFto 2021. lower plate denture was the procedure I agreed to pursue. The exam and all that. different staff from my previous experience. extraction of bottom teeth. some broken, all failing.i was sent to the office manager. I felt the cost was rather inflated compared to previous procedure. after Covid, still no toile paper and all. my broken teeth were being charged as surgeries even though the teeth had something to grab and came out like the rest. after care and waiting for my permanent plate was long and exhausting. The yep plate was so bulky so I was using cushion grip and fixadent and felt like I had deep jaw pockets. ff to my permanent plate. bulky as the temporary. rocked as I chewed. The office told me the bottom would never be like the top and any complaints were brushed off and I just did the I'll do my own adjustmenta rather than deal with the staff that I felt thought I was just a complainer. I have lost weight since then and called Aspen of lebanon tn to schedule a realign. all new staff etc, 2026. Had a feeling of dread for whatever reason and kept rescheduling. I would get the request for confirmation for a new patient comprehensive exam.... I was assured by the customer service agent I spoke with that my fears were unfounded. But, yet again, new patient comprehensive exam. By this time, I was up to applying fixodent 3 times a day. My Appointment was scheduled for this morning at 11am. I hit some backed up traffic on the way into Lebanon so I called to inform a 5-10 minute delay. This was before 11. The receptionist was abrupt in telling me if it was going to be over 5 minutes later than 11 I would need to reschedule. The office had lunch at noon and no way to accommodate me. I told the staff I was moving in traffic so I would be delayed less than 5 minutes getting aggravated I said I just need a reline. After looking at all the appointments available every 15 minutes I was puzzled why a 5 minute delay would set them back over 55 minutes later. Oh! The staffer says, our lab tech quit, anything needing anything ilike that I'd need to call the gallatin tn location.?call me crazy but I expected something like, Im sorry about this schedule snaffoo can I get you the number for the Gallitin location? Not, well, when we found out what you needed we would've turned you away today. WOW.... Just the dismissive attitude. The way she came across was how dare I inconvenience her this close to lunchtime.... I will again praise, stand a applaud the staff of January 2021! I did get to see the dentist that was so helpful. No discounts or anything like that, just some much appreciated kind attitude. A sense of well being. Confidant putting my trust in Aspen dental of Lebanon.
