I called in abt a dispute on my credit card and the lady in the disputes department named Stephanie was so kind and patient while she looked into it even though the person she was talking with on the dept was giving pushback she made sure to hold firm ground and get matters taken care of and answers for both of us. about as helpful as a ripped cardboard box. Sometimes customer service in individual branches is OK but no follow through, but when it comes to correspondence, it's horrible. Everything takes forever no way to improve response time or at least that's what they say. read more

Reader beware: I'm biased toward credit unions in general. I prefer credit unions to banks because their mission is non-profit and member-focused. Credit unions generally don't charge fees for checking accounts; their loan and credit card interest rates are usually better. I first joined Navy Federal Credit Union when I was in the Marine Corps, and after my enlistment ended, I closed the account. That was one of the dumbest things I've ever done! Thankfully, a friend told me that Navy Federal opened their membership up to Veterans, so you don't have to be Active Duty or Reserves to join. The staff at this location are friendly, helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. I recommend this location and Navy Federal in general! A solid 5 stars! read more

I lost my debit card. I ran into the branch on Bell Rd (that is conveniently located near my house, thank you) to report it missing and grab some cash. Imagine my surprise when the extremely friendly and professional staff asked me to sit for what felt like a matter of seconds, produced a brand new card for me, and resolved all 500 of my questions within maybe three or four minutes of me walking in the door. Who doesn't love that new bank smell? This branch, newest in the Valley (as of December 2019) provides all the same customer service of NFCU that the members expect but does it within a spiffy new location. To be honest, I rarely go to a bank or credit union office, but it's nice having this location near me so I can take care of business when I need to. This is my new go-to branch. read more

I have been with Navy Federal for more than 40 years. Prompt, Courteous, PROFESSIONAL, and HELPFUL people from the top to the bottom (and I have dealt with multiple mortgages, multiple car loans, multiple issues with travel overseas to convert currency and lots of other off-the-wall kinds of things that a bank would not have handled.) This organization is ROCK SOLID and I am not changing my opinion. Retirement account ? CHECK. (IRA/401K/SEP etc...) Yes, I too might be a bit biased but I've not only had other banks in the interim - I've worked for other banks and nothing compares. read more

How incredibly sad. I got a new credit card from NFCU with an amazing rate on balance transfers. So when I transfer a balance from another credit card and bank to this NFCU card then I have consolidated my debt and would make all my payments to NFCU at the best interest rate ever of 0.9%. NFCU would pay off the balance from their credit card and then I would make payments to NFCU. I stopped in to this site to have NFCU transfer money from this credit card to the other bank, ie a transfer funds to pay the balance to take advantage of a rate, but the customer service representative explained that I need to go to the other bank to get this done. The other bank can't send my balance to NFCU. NFCU has to send funds to pay off the other card. I was here a couple months ago to do the same transaction without problem. This guy understood nothing and made no effort to try to figure it out and understand what I wanted to do. Clearly he has no good knowledge about banking and should not be out front on his own. He needs education. Thankfully NFCU did send an email explaining how to do a balance transfer from the NFCU app which I couldn't do from the app a couple months ago. read more

Very easy access, parking is not competing with retail stores. Handicap parking and entrance for those with mobility challenges. Seats in common area seem to be paired 2 wider and 2 narrower without make a huge deal of the 'big people' chairs. Five stars to the designer. Greeter was super pleasant. HUGE TV to pass the wait time. Nice clean restrooms for members. read more
