Stayed here several times and there really is no better value in Key West where the average going rate is $300 per night. Of course you do need military ID. Rooms have been as low as $60 excluding tax but now are in the $90 range. I explored all the roads one morning running and you can literally run 6 miles if you run one loop around Halsey and Mitscher and then follow the roads towards Fleming Key on Mustin Street, which terminates at Special Forces Underwater Training Ops. Too bad there is no continuous road around Fleming Key. There is a pool for kids that opens up at noon on Chevalier Ave. Continental breakfast fare is included. And right outside the elevators you can always get some filtered water and coffee 24/7. The queen bed was comfortable. The bathrooms had soap and shampoo. The tv didn't work (room 640) or wasn't connected but I didn't care. Will definitely keep coming.

Furnishings are a bit dated, but the place is super clean, comfortable, well appointed, and larger than most hotel rooms.

But then they showed us their rooftop bar (live music!) that overlooks Duvall St. so now that's our go to spot to drink and people watch. See you there!

Property does not have one consistent vibe, but it is closest attributed to South Beach/modern. Rooftop bar has live music in the evening and good drinks while overlooking Duval street. Breakfast selection is good, but if you are used to complementary breakfast through the Marriott status, then you are only offered eggs, bacon, granola, and toast. Sadly the bacon was stale (we were one of the first, if not the very first to order breakfast, so it being completely cold and stale tells me it's not from today). We asked for coffee at breakfast and were pointed to the coffee station on the front end of the bar. Just drip coffee, nothing special. No milk, alternatives or honey, just cream, sugar and stevia. That part could be improved for it being about $400-$500/night. The room itself is decorated well and clean. Plantation shutters look great, but they do let in light in the morning since hotel doesn't have any curtains. Walls are thin as we heard the phone ring, but turns out it was our neighbor.

***Buyer Beware*** This hotel is a scam. They advertise…read morerooms with queen size beds that are clearly full size at best. I actually measured the bed and it was far smaller. On top of that the room is almost closet sized with an exposed shower and sink which makes it feel very humid in the room. Theres barely enough space between the bed and wall to walking into the room. The shower also hadn't been cleaned with a piece of old soap stuck to the floor and bug crawling under the pillow when i moved it.. I brought it to the attention of the man working the front desk who first told me it was a queen. The GM came on later that evening and admitted that it wasn't a queen and offered us a slightly larger rom but same size bed. Again the sink was in the room and it was stuffy and humid which made it hard to sleep more than four hours. I canceled the room after one night and tried to get my money back, but they've refused. Do not stay at this hotel. The "queen room" is basically just a hostel at hotel prices. $260 a night in my case.

Our hot water did not work, the hair dryer made us lose power, I was a young girl alone in the room and the maintenance man asked me where I was from and started calling me beautiful which was uncomfortable for me. I brought all my dirty towels down after days without room service to the pool area towel dispenser and then I had to remove the overflowing trash from the room. The pull out sofa bed poked me in the back and was uncomfortable. Sand in between the blanket and the sheets from previous people I assume. Then we received a text at 6pm on a Saturday night asking us to be mindful of the guests below us to not move furniture? (We did not move any furniture so we were all very confused?) And we had not been in the room all day. This made us feel very unwelcome and sent us over the edge as we already were having a horrible experience. Had to ask for more towels because no room service. We left a day early to stay somewhere else. I've noticed all the good reviews were made during old management

They had fresh water and a welcome sangria as I checked in. *They have daily coffee in the morning and cookies and iced tea in the afternoon. The only thing missing is a happy hour with wine and cheese! I spent a lot of time trying to find the right room (online). Without being there, it was hard to choose. I chose a poolside room (shared balcony). I was given room 3 and I loved it. :) There is plenty of room for two people. The bed was so comfy and the pillows were perfect. They have complimentary water (2 bottles) in your room. They have a mini fridge and options to buy snacks and liquor. They have fruit infused water next to the pool daily. You will stay hydrated. There is an honor bar next to the water; which has a few pricy options for a beer or other canned beverages. I did see plenty of people have their own drinks poolside. So, outside drinks are allowed at the pool...but no glass. They have two pools. I preferred the pool towards the back. There are lush beautiful plants all around you and you'll often see little lizards scurrying by the pool. They did not have a late checkout for my room but they were nice enough to hold my bags and have use of the pool while I waited for my friends to arrive. I would stay here again but during high season, the rooms get expensive. I loved room 3 but would love to someday stay in the cute cabin looking rooms up behind the pool. They have a covered porch, sitting room m, and a large bathroom. Overall, the service was solid. The grounds of the hotel are lovely, the bed was amazing, and the pools were a lovely respite from the crowded streets and heat of the city.
