In her Tik Tok she demonstrated that cops believe they are above the law. In a way this is true because of qualified immunity, but that's another topic. She informed the public that police can and do 'find' reasons to pull people over. All they have to do is follow someone long enough. This could intimidate the person they're following, making them nervous and increasing the chances they commit a minor traffic violation. Then what? Call in dogs because you 'suspect' drugs? Violate their 4th amendment rights by searching their car? Beat, arrest and trump up charges because they offended your ego? I believe this is how it works. Officer Straus' comments and countless videos on YouTube provide enough evidence that this is the case more often than not.

I made the appointment online and prior to the appointment, I received an email from one of the office technician, Kennedy Courtney and a follow up phone call to confirm the appointment and to see if I had any questions. I definitely wasn't expecting that type of thoroughness from a government agency. Upon arrival, there were ample of parking space and the building was super easy to find. The passport office shares the same building as the police department and is on the 2nd floor. When you get there, there's a touchscreen tv that you can check in at, but there was a nice lady there that said she can help check us in while we wait. Kennedy helped us with the passport process and we were in and out within minutes. Keep up the great work, Federal Way. My mother was impress with the whole process.

Signs in the parking lot provided clear directions to the entrance for the city hall and the court. I was looking for a ballot dropbox per the dropbox information I received in the mail along with my ballot. Looking for the ballot dropbox by the front of the building I did not immediately sight the box. Turns out it was located along the road above where I parked my car. It was visible from the front of the city hall, just not located at the entrance. A sidewalk provided means of dropping off my ballot via foot.

Looking for a new book to add to my reading pile, I stopped by Federal Way Library at about 1:30…read morep.m. on Saturday 9 March 2024. The parking lot had two lots that I saw. The first was parking around the road of a roundabout with a hoisted rocks art piece in the center. The second was a lot tucked behind and across from parking on one side of the roundabout. The entrance to the building was easy to spot and benches to the side of the entrance and in the entryway were in use by library patrons. Inside the entrance and to the right were water fountains, restrooms, and group rooms/spaces for different usage. There was abundant work space with table(s) and computer(s). Chairs/other seating was available throughout the library. In the non-fiction section I found the aisles labeled by approximate topic. Looking for something in finance/economics, I found the section in a second row of the stacks. One book on the restaurant industry from an operations perspective caught my eye, so I went with that one. Self check out stations were located across from the main walkway from the entrance into the library. Checking out was straightforward and both the computer and receipt printer had no issue(s). Librarian stations were located off to one side, opposite the side with the water fountains and multi-use rooms, closer to the entrance.

Once inside, it was quiet and calm with what seemed like a variety of random services available, though I didn't explore them in detail. The children's area is thoughtfully separated, making it a good stop for families. There were plenty of computers available, even on a weekend. Printing is affordable, with $1.50 of free credit per day and reasonable rates at $0.15 for black and white and $0.50 for color. Parking was no issue at all. It was spacious and easy to access. On a sunny day, the lot even felt a little scenic. Overall, it's a solid local library with a peaceful atmosphere. JY review

I've noticed the Northwest side of the entrance (aprox 100 yards long ) was getting overgrown with weeds and tall grass making it rather unsightly. I called the City's street dept and spoke to a very pleasant lady (sorry, I forgot her name ) hoping to have them clean it up. I most love the large package lockers that allow my packages to be safe and secure. When I rented the PO Box, I also got a "package" address to give when ordering packages. Any licensed service can deliver packages to this USPS, using this address. I receive everything from Amazon deliveries to medications at this address, where they are safe from porch pirates and the weather. All for $200 a year. Great service. 5 stars.
