I was instructed to go downtown with my original birth certificate and drivers license. When I got there, the security guard informed me that Seattle started a call-in requirement for appointments this week and gave ne a phone number to call and a QR code for their web site. There is no way to request an appointment on their web site. After a long phone tree, the robot said the on-hold wait time was "over 120 minutes." That could mean "not today." I will try again at 8:00 AM and see if "over 120 minutes" means over 8 hours. I have spent over 2 hours today to get this far.

It was $10 per person, but they host small classes with a limit of 10 people, so it's harder to get in and you usually have to register ahead of time. This class is unlikely to be sufficient for work requirement and their certificate doesn't seem official, but it's a good way to learn CPR and abdominal thrusts. It takes about 1.5 hours and you will also learn how to operate an AED as well. There are plenty of parking and it's easy to find the building and the classroom with the map they sent you via email before class.

Thankfully, they will validate your parking if you are there on any official City business or if you are attending a City meeting there. After weeks of waiting, the national SSA hotline informed us that the local office made a processing error on her application. The local office phone line (866-931-2675) is never answered by a person--it is just automated menus and endless holds. When I went to this location in person to provide the reference number given by national support, the front desk staff member was rude, cut me off, and refused to even look up the record in the system. Be prepared for unhelpful staff and zero phone support if you come here.
