My girlfriend had a huge branch come down which ripped the electrical service attached to her home down. I am a licensed electrician in Mass but not RI. where she lives. To follow the laws this repair needed an electrical permit that's issued by each town. This prevented me from doing the needed repairs. This review is a few months late, but I did want to make sure to write one! Nick came out to install an EV charging station in our garage after a very reasonable and thorough quote. Our panels weren't exactly textbook and he made sure to let us know that work would have to be done on that before he added the breaker and 240v outlet for the charger. He takes pride in his work and did an amazing job! It all looks much neater than before, no more circuit tripping in the garage, and I have peace of mind that the breakers are not overloaded/etc. He answered all the questions I had. I initially called Nick for a problem with a dimmer switch which he determined was a problem with my breaker panel. He responded promptly and made the repair for a very reasonable price. I subsequently engaged him for installation of a generator transfer switch. There was a significant delay in his being able to start the work as the availability of the transfer switch was hampered by the hurricane damage down south. When he performed the installation he did a good clean-up of shoddy wiring in my electrical panel and installed the switch in what appeared to me to be very clean and professional manner. I'm very glad I found Nick by researching reviews online. I'm a single female & usually end up feeling like I'm being taken advantage of by contractors but Nick has treated me fairly & honestly. He replaced my dryer plug & I was happy with his price & work so I also had him return to upgrade my 100A electric panel to 200A (which was required so I could go solar & helped me avoid the astronomical $3,600 fee my solar company quoted me for the upgrade). He has since helped me with diagnosing why my pool pump wouldn't work (conduit ripped out when old owner had septic system replaced) & he refused payment for his time. I will definitely continue to use him for all my future electrical needs & wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. I just wish there were more contractors like him out there! read more
