Needed LED light put in shower, an outlet put in for medicine cabinet, some re-wiring of existing fixtures and some simple outdoor outlet installation done. LED light and outdoor bubble box supplied by me. After 3.5 hours of work a bill over $1300.! Very pricey a la carte way of providing electrical services. Professional work but, poor value! Two part review...too bad because Arthur, the journeyman electrician who did the work, was excellent. 5 stars. The price...ridiculous for the work that was done. $69 fee on top of cost of job for a junction box, couple feet of wire, sealing, etc. I did appreciate Arthur taking the time to make sure things were done right. Yes, I could have gone out for multiple quotes but wanted the work done with no hassles. Based on the cost alone, would never use this company again. I used them to replace 3 outdoor outlets and 2 required plastic covers. John quoted me $736 , which I thought was very high for this type of job, but I needed to get it done. In all fairness I have not used an electrician in a few years so a price this high may be concidered the norm, but not to me. When complete the charge was $805. Apparently there was also a fee for the credit card but it is not explained on the invoice. Also the plastic covers were $89 each. He was also up front about that. But he informed me one of the current plastic covers could not be reused due to a size issue so my wife wanted them to match as they are on our deck. All in all the work was professional and he was done in about an hour. My only issue was the way I look at it I paid $800 for an hour labor, 2 plastic covers and 2 GFI outlets. Wait a second, $69 fee for them to come out and give a quote? I was looking to install a new breaker sub-box. Called Shana (sp?) who sounded like a new dispatch person. They have an answering machine and called me back within half hour, which is amazing considering some electricians don't even answer. They came out within 90 minutes and assessed the situation and we were able to get repairs done quickly ! Highly recommended! read more

The electrician, Shawn, was great - very nice, punctual, fast, and knowledgeable. Problem seems fixed. Trying it out now and keeping my fingers crossed. I feel better to be dealing with an actual company, rather than a one person operation - if something turns out to be not quite right, at least there is a good chance they will answer the phone and make it better. Eastland Electric came to my home in Cumberland to update the electrical in a home I had just purchased. The knowledge and guidance they provided helped me understand the repairs they had laid out to make, and their professionalism was unmatched. They showed up on time and in uniform, they were very friendly and answered all of my questions. Arthur replaced the panel in my basement; the pride he takes in his work is admirable to say the least. I work in the trades, and I can really appreciate a tech who took the extra time to be neat and properly label all of the circuits. The owner Tom and his son Gregg replaced the service and meter socket, and their tech Arnold refed all of my first floor with updated and safe wiring. This is the first time that I've used Eastland Electric but will be using them for all my electrical needs. I was very impressed with the professionalism and amount of information given to me during my initial phone call to set up an appointment. They said that the tech would arrive between 11:00am - 1:00 and would give me a call 15 minutes prior. Matt did exactly that and was here at 11:00. I had a lengthy list of things that needed to be done never imagining it would all get completed in less than 5 hours. Matt never stopped from the moment he arrived.
