i moved to the southwest and couldn't get to td bank north to shut my account. and then i couldn't…read moreget onto the page bc my phone number changed. and there was NO WAY to get to my bank account and put more money in it so it wouldn't go lower than the minimum. so charges were racked up but i couldn't do anything unless i was there in person to prove that it's me even though a couple at the bank have known me for over 20 years. they closed my account and kept my balance. all banks have digital banking in the country. there is no excuse at all whatsoever i couldn't have changed my phone number or that the bank couldn't verify me with my email. just an excuse to steal people's money rather than to protect them from theft .

And all the people that work there they gonna make you feel like you are in the best safe environment. Me being a Latin it Caribbean brother I don't feel safe in a lot of places. I have been divorced for over a year and a victim of Domestic violence from that marriage. In our Divorce Agreement signed by the Supreme Court, we were to maintain a joint account for the purpose of paying the mortgage and utilities until he signs the house over to me. A few months ago he lost his job and income and apparently had accrued overdraft fees in his own personal account. The bank took MY money out of the joint account earmarked to pay bills with, and paid off my ex husband's overdrafts. Now I can't pay my electricity bill which that money was to go towards, and I may have my electricity shut off. I am partially disabled and have some serious chronic health conditions including breathing issues when sleeping which require a Cpap and could stop breathing if I don't have electricity to run my machine. I contacted the bank explaining that I am not financially or legally responsible for any of my ex husband's debts and explained the divorce agreement signed by Supreme Court regarding why we still have 1 joint account together. They have decided they were well within their Rights to take my money to pay off HIS debts just because his name was on the account. I trusted this bank with my money and they're using it to pay off my abuser's debts to the bank. From my perspective this is theft, from the bank victimizing someone who's already in a bad situation and giving my hard earned money to someone who's already abused me. And they asked me if I could ask my ex to pay me back? Do abusers usually pay back their victims? No. There was no compassion, no consideration for a victim, they only care about their policies and getting their owed money no matter who they have to take it from. I will be reporting this to all legal services I already work with, as well as to our State Representative, and notifying our local Domestic Abuse services that I've sought help with telling them to warn other Domestic Violence victims to be careful of banking with an institution that has no problem taking their money and paying of their abusers accounts if needed. I'll be alerting PR and Media as I feel this grave injustice needs to be publicized so that our community can be aware of the immoral and unjust treatment of bank customers who have already been victimized and now victimized again by bank polices that allows the bank to seize your money to pay off an abuser's debts to the bank.

When I went to the bank they said my account was frozen because of the 2 checks I deposited. Now they are saying that IRS will not clear checks for another 2 months. That will be 3 months to clear a government issued check!! I needed the money to pay car payment and insurance but to no avail.. Please if anyone is reading this DO NOT deposit your IRS refund checks in this bank if you need the money right away!! It's frustrating because it's your money and they act like it's theirs. I wouldn't be surprised if I had to hire a lawyer to solve this problem.. This bank smells like a ponzi scheme!!!

First, their interest rates are not competitive and it has me looking moving funds to other institutions. Second the recent upgrade to their mobile app doesn't work on my phone or any of my computers. I have a hokey and likely less secure workaround but no explanation from support as to why it doesn't work with the more secure browsers. Once in it seems to be pretty good but Chrome and MS Edge give me security errors (invalid response from the site). I was told by tech support it is a problem with their code and compatibility with my phone. Doesn't explain why it happens on my laptop, PC and other devices. Sadly I think it's time to shop a new bank that will provide better rates and a better mobile experience. I will miss you folks
