[[HIGHLIGHT]]I really wanted to give this company benefit of the doubt but I have come across too many failed attempts of communication within the company.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was one point in time a came in for my regular cleaning, and upon checkout was told I have a $700-800 balance, which surprised me. I never received any invoices in the mail nor a phone call prior.. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was another occasion where I got some work done and contacted my dental insurance and spoke with a representative after, just because I kept getting hit will all these outstanding bills during a certain time frame and the UHC representative informed me that Neal Dental forgot to inform me that their office did not renew for my specific network (UHC) meaning they are not in network with UHC until they decide to renew it so I was an out of pocket patient for that service I got done at that time even though I was previously in their network and they were late on renewing for certain providers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You would think the Front Desk would inform you on their delay in renewing with some networks especially while I was checking in for that appointment and when I confirmed my dental insurance information (which was still the same - UHC) I thought this was standard protocol..[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were too many cases to where the communication was not there, which is super important especially for building a clients trust. This practice is not qualified to provide orthodontic services. During my Invisalign treatment, one of my teeth was chipped, and the first set of aligners caused severe and unnecessary pain. My experience was entirely negative from start to finish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously, and there was little effort to address the problems that arose during my treatment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What should have been a process focused on patient comfort and safety instead became stressful and disappointing. My last visit to this office was in May 2023, and I won't ever be returning. I've had two cleanings from this practice, and I feel that they were two too many. My first visit ended with a 20-minute sales pitch on a $1300 "treatment plan." My second visit was even more unpleasant. While going over my medical history, the hygienist didn't know the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes. This became evident after she asked a pair of very silly questions regarding my medications. For example, she asked if I take my insulin shot once per week. WHAT?? Then she started cleaning my teeth, and showed no empathy whenever I indicated she was hurting me. She even told me to hold still for another five seconds while she dug into a very sensitive area. The Dr. Stubblefield did the final exam, and proceeded to try selling me on a $1000 "treatment plan." I was then led to a consultation room where a finance person continued the hard sell, adding that the plan was probably going to cost more than $1200. 25 minutes later, and without my consent, she tried to schedule an appointment to begin treatment. I told her to stop what she was doing and left the office. I will not be back, and neither will my family. read more

(For the record I don't like the dentist ever)....Rose is always my dental hygienist and she's great! We have good conversations and she very hood at her job! This place is always clean and polite. With COVID they do a great job making sure you feel it is a safe space. If you need a procedure they make it clear that it/they may be necessary but aren't overly pushy. If you have kids and need their teeth cleaned or checked I recommend taking them else where . The old lazy a** women that don't have any patience for toddlers don't like to work with kids . Which is funny cuz the first thing you see when you walk in there it says " NEAL KIDS DENTAL " in big bright letters . My 4 year old toddler was a little fussy as she was going in for her appointment as she should be when your going to the dentist or doc at that age in the beginning, as she started calming down the dentist and her assistant with out saying a word just sitting in the chairs starring at my little girl like if she was an object and not a human being. Based off of the look and way they were speaking and looking at us I could feel the vibe being off. I feel insulted and heated through the roof that these woman had the balls to tell us we can recommend you someone else we only see kids who cooperate. My husband went to Neal Dental for full dentures. It took over a year to complete the process. During, each time he went in, he was charged prior to services. Once the EOBs started coming in from insurance, I determined they had overcharged him out of pocket by thousands of dollars above what our insurance determined was our responsibility. I brought this to their attention but not before a $2900 payment was made in April. They delayed filing in order to delay discovery so they could continue to take money 'based on estimates' rather than their contract with our carrier. That put the amount they owed us at over $5,000. Just last week, 4 months after beginning the fight for our refund, we were issued the final payment. I had to resort to request our insurance audit the account. I feel fortunate that we were successful without court intervention. I spent 2 hours on my birthday in the office with the billing person, the office manager and the dentist (3 against 1) trying to argue about having to repay us the thousands of dollars they had overcharged, trying to play a shell game with me, trying to blame the problem on insurance, trying to tell me I didn't understand the way insurance worked. I'm 64 years old and raised 3 kids. I know how insurance works. I also know how opportunists work. I left with just over half what was owed that day, the excuse that the April claim was still being processed. And it was because it took them until August to correctly submit it. I asked if someone was embezzling funds, if the business was in financial trouble, and how many other patients they did this to, seeking their reason for trying to deny the refund. I believe only because of my persistence, and the audit by our insurance carrier, I was successful. I'm submitting this review for the purpose of letting others know how they do business and that prior patients may want to request and audit from their insurance carrier. All is now well. My husband has teeth, our refund has cleared the bank account, and I hope Neal Dental changes their billing practices, as well as learned that though there's a sucker born every minute, I'm not one of them. read more

Dr Stubblefield is a fantastic dentist. I have always had wonderful experience with her. The other dentists that work with her are also great- they are human, kind, and gentle. Also have to give a shout out to the dental hygienist, who is just fabulous! I see I'm not the only one who felt being upsell for things that I didn't need. I made an appointment about 4 or 5 weeks out and gave them my insurance info on the website. When I got there, I was told that they don't accept my insurance because they are out of network and I have to pay 40% and insurance will pay 60%. Like they couldn't tell me that before my appointment?! Figured I'm already there, so might as well get the check up. After the check up, they wanted to charge almost $1000 for only half of my mouth deep cleaning. I told them that is extremely high and I was done with them. As I was leaving by the front desk, I asked the person who was I charge of making deals and offers, if I owe anything and she said no this visit is comped and that was it. But today I got a notification that I owe them about $220 after being told it is comped! Btw, I went to a different dentist with pretty much same bells and whistles like this place for a second opinion and I didn't need a deep cleaning! Plus their rates for deep cleaning and other services were way lower that this place. I recommend if you have the time get a 2nd opinion from a different practice. read more

Ugh. Had to do a revision. I scheduled our entire family here originally and loved them- until today. The fees seemed to be steep and I thought our co-pays were just increasing. I questioned the co-pay and discovered even though their staff , Rose, assured they were Met-Life/Tricare providers, they in fact are not. I immediately cancelled all remaining appointments. Dr Stubblefield and her staff were courteous, informative, and professional. I came in with no dental insurance, having not seen a dentist in 5 years, and they explained to me in detail the issues I have and why. I expressed that I had not much to spend on the needed fillings and deep cleaning, and they helped me find a discount plan that would bring down the cost significantly. The first appointment - with x-rays - came out to a discounted price of $99, which I cannot guarantee for every new patient as I think they had a deal going on. Hopefully will go in again soon to get some of those fillings. The price of the work needed seemed pretty steep, but doing a bit of further research I think it's pretty normal for the amount of stuff I need done, and given how understanding and helpful the staff were, I don't so much mind not having gone to a sliding scale type dentistry. Went to my first appointment for a regular check up today. Not only did they do the regular X-ray, cleaning, polishing, etc., but they also did an oral cancer screening test. No other dental office has ever provided or recommended this most important early detection screening test. As a cancer survivor, having the oral screening test made me feel confident that I am taking care of my oral heath. Super happy with the cleaning and polishing! The hygienist was great! I came back to have some very old cracked fillings repaired. The results are awesome. Dr. Stubblefield was very gentle and I couldn't be happier with the results. From the front desk to the chair, I was taken care of and very happy with my experience. I recommend it highly to any one looking for a dentist! The entire staff was knowledgeable with answering all my questions and concerns. I am going back later this month to finish up my treatment. Again, I recommend them highly. read more
