We hired them for a move-in cleaning, and it was an expensive, unprofessional disappointment.
They told us the service would cost $350 -- but we later found out it was actually $315. We paid $440 in cash, including a $125 tip, trusting this was a team of professionals who'd deliver a thorough, efficient cleaning.
Instead, here's what we walked into after they claimed they'd done a final walkthrough with us (they didn't):
* Floors were not scrubbed -- just lightly mopped. We'll be spending at least an hour scrubbing them ourselves.
* Debris left all over the floor, including bobby pins, lint balls, and random dirt from the previous owner.
* Cat puke stains from previous owner left untouched in the only carpeted room in the house.
* Fridge and freezer not deodorized.
* Inside of all cabinets still dirty, including previous owner's cut facial hair cover inside of bathroom cabinets.
* Caked on dust everywhere -- on doors, window treatments, baseboards, floor corners.
* Fireplace wiped, not scrubbed.
* Staircase ledge ignored.
* The list goes on.
We had just moved into our new home and were counting on this clean to give us a fresh start. Instead, we were left scrambling to do the job ourselves before we could even unpack.
They offered to come back, but we'd already started moving in -- which defeats the purpose of a move-in clean entirely. And after the disgusting clean and dishonesty, why would we trust them to do better?
What's worse: three people were here for three hours, and they clearly took their time, did the bare minimum, and wasted that time while securing a bigger tip -- by lying about the actual cost of service. That's not just unprofessional -- it's dishonest.
We relocated from Chicago, where one cleaner did a flawless deep clean for $260 in the same amount of time in our previous home. This was not a fair comparison -- it was a blatant ripoff.
And here's the part that really hurts: We're originally from the Quad Cities. We just moved back, proud to return to a community we've always known to be filled with hardworking, honest people who take pride in what they do.
This was our very first service as new homeowners in the QC, and it was disgusting. Literally and figuratively.
It completely misrepresents the values of this area.
We will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and sharing this review on every platform that allows it. People deserve to know what they may be getting themselves into, hopefully avoiding it all together.
