    Welcome kittens.
    Michelle H.

First off...we were greeted by four adorable kittens just outside the door. Inside the shop is much larger than it seems. Lots of yarn choices from a baby crib full of Opal sock yarn (swoon) to Malabrigo and Berocco. Yarn selection included Llama, alpaca, wool, linen and Silk blends as well as some synthetics. Hand-dyed varieties with the popular speckles were hard to resist. Loads of samples and some even won ribbons at the county fair! Scenery was lovely and service friendly, I found it worth the trip.

This yarn is amazing! So soft and pretty, exactly what I was looking for.

From the owner: Wm. Booth, Draper sells on our website & at select historic events. We specialize in fabrics,…read morenotions, sewing patterns & books on the birth & development of the US. We sell pure 100% knitting wool raised, processed & mule spun in the US along with bone & steel double ended knitting needles & historic knitting patterns. Mule spun is important since it mimics hand spun wool. Besides our large assortment of basic white, unbleached & died linens, we have the largest selection of stripe & check 100% linen fabric on the internet along with hard to find heavy weight (11-19 oz.) hemp & flax linens. Have you seen 100% linen buckram interfacing coveted by custom tailors? We also have very sheer hard to find 100% cotton and 100% linen fabric. Our historic sewing notions are second to none. Unusual bone & wood thread winders, needle cases & button blanks for making silk thread covered buttons & books on the techniques of making death head & other sorts of thread covered buttons. We are one of the few importers of 100% linen sewing thread in the US & have a large assortment of weights & colors along with 100% silk sewing thread. Many companies sell colonial sewing patterns but we weed out costume patterns & only sell the most historically appropriate sewing patterns available for museum quality reproduction garments which we use for our clothing so that we have a personal knowledge of the patterns.
