We were told they do not accept Medicare and we have to pay them cash! Waste of time for us to drive there!

Once again we feel so Blessed to be at a NEARBY urgent care. I've had grandkids,kids,my 87-90 year old parents , self . and gladly recommend Crosby Neighbors Urgent center! Since 2019 I have only been treated with kindness, respect and YOU YOU KNOW ! THAT IS RARE! the 2 year they 90 is quite a span of numbers but Neighbors took them all! when it was nessesaru they got the ambulance in for trans to hospital and EVEN then! Even at that critical time : courtesy Reigned. staff would explain over & over until diagnosis & instructions were clear . I don't think it's a fun job- I couldn't do it: I've seen real jerks in the wait area and Still They were treated professionally and kindly. We love it here! We have came in multiple times to get Rapid COVID tests and we have never had a bad experience. They have accommodated us several times when they didn't have anything available and they have always been pleasant. When they are not busy, they will come out to the car to swab you. If they are too busy or short staffed, you will go in and out in 5-10 mins. You then wait in your car to get results which usually take 15 mins. read more

First and foremost, l understand and respect that the facility was dealing with patients who potentially had the virus. It was full that day with only one attending physician. That being said, l arrived March 9th with directions from my PCP to have a CT scan and a full-blood panel run, specifically run at the same place. At 10am l was taken back, assessed briefly, and left alone until noon. At that point a nurse put a IV in my arm and told me a phlebotomist would be in in 20 minutes to draw my blood. By 12:55 l stepped out and asked the receptionist if they were too busy to take care of me, as l could go elsewhere, these test needed to be run today. I spoke in a normal tone, meant no offense, l just meant if others were more ill, l had the means to seek care somewhere else. The physician left the patient he was attending, loudly told me "If we couldn't take care of you we'd have told you. You are out of control, now get back in that room!" He also pointed to the room!! I went back, gathered my things and told the receptionist l was going elsewhere. AGAIN, the doctor left his patient, loudly told me to sign a paper, the receptionist could do this, and said other things l can't recall. Not a single person on staff (4) who witnessed this stepped in, or even acted like it was out of line. I took out my phone to show how big he was, his tone and language, at which point he told the staff to call the police! I'm a size two, 63 year old woman trying to leave because no service has been rendered, yet he thinks the police need be called? Of course,l reported to him to corporate and l was assured that my reason was understandable and he'd be spoken to by them. I took no action. This week l find that my insurance had paid over $800 for this three hour waste of time and fear of my lifetime. I agree it was a "visit" and he assessed me, though rendered no medical aid. A urinalysis was run for no reason. However, Aetna was charged for three blood tests. This place took no blood! I HAD to have both tests results from the same place. I contacted corporate to adjust the bill. I was told it is protocol to draw blood at the time of IV insertion and they HAVE THE RESULTS! I've no clue who's blood they ran, but it most certainly it is not mine. They don't even allow for the fact that the fact the place was full means protocol may not have been followed. I went to the hospital the next day and even the new physician didn't want to run bloodwork. I was so frustrated from the experience at Neighbors the day before, l told him what had happened there, and asked that he please reach out to my PCP so that l can finally have this infection identified properly. He did so and ran the test. I'm waiting to compare whatever Neighbors send me, as they should be identical, right? When l originally spoke to corporate l told them that in the past their radiology department had made two grievous errors. One diagnosing me with lung cancer when it was pneumonia. The second was telling me l had a neck sprain when it was actually fractured. I didn't even call the office or corporate. Mistakes happen. This situation is different because this doctor, though overworked, decided to yell at me when all l was doing was taking care of myself and lightening their load. It wasn't an affront to him nor the ER, and required no interaction with him. Additionally, they are adding tests, presumably to give the appearance that l left even though they'd completed a portion of my requests. Are they trying to imply l left even though some work had been taken care of to make me look bad? These places are notorious for their hefty bills. I'll pay for what l owe. What l won't do is pay for is deliberately manufactured test results. Always check with your insurance. They will fight for you and have lawyers for this reason. They always will not pay for bloodwork taken twice in a week. Their "proof" is now pivotal. read more

Went in for nausea, vomiting, and flu like symptoms. They gave me fluid IV, took my blood, and gave me some nausea meds. In and out 2 hours TOPS. Just received a couple bills totaling $6000!!! My cost after insurance United Health Care....$5500! They are a perfect example of what's wrong with healthcare and why insurance is so ridiculously high. read more

Pros: Overall excellent care for my eldery grandfather. The physician, I. Freeborn, the nurses, MA and even the CT technologist were caring, thorough and very efficient and truly deserves 5 stars. They were amazing despite being busy. The front desk person Freeda was efficient, polite, and caring. CONS: Unfortunately the receptionist, Courtney was so awful and rude she nearly ruined an otherwise phenomenal experience. She had an extemely unprofessional disposition, frequently rolling her, intentionally forcing patients to wait while in line with noone else was in lline or "going to the back" for greater than 10 mins for paperwork directly in front of her. She was incompetent and went out of her way to be unhelpful. She is everything wrong with healthcare and cleary hates her job. People can be helpful or not -she chose not to be at evey turn. Worse she was artless, petty and ineffectual. No corporation wants people like this to be the point of contact for their customers. read more

Dr Ahmed Shaikh treated me for a sever dog bite to my face and nasal area. I was in extreme pain. His nurse seeing that I was gushing blood, Required stitches, had several picture wounds and a broken nose said she would treat me for my extreme pain. The Dr then proceeded to say that he didn't think I needed anything after I told him my pain was on a scale of 1 to 10 a 9. He then said he didn't have to treat me at all because he was doing me a favor for billing me after the fact. He did not completely numb the area for stitches and told me i was quote, " the dumbass who tried to tackle a pitbull". A dog that has been in our family for years I was attempting to get out of traffic. When I complained to a receptionist and asked if there was another Dr nearby to get a second opinion he came out and called me a "pussy" and that if I had something to say to say it to his face. He instigated a fight in front of his entire staff and then tried to say he was going to call the police on me after trying to start a fight with me. He was arrogant unprofessional and did not properly treat my pain or even describe what I was to do to take care of the injury. I have never in my life been so offended and mistreated by a so called Dr. and I pray he doesn't have the opportunity to cause pain and threaten any other patients in the future. they weren't even busy there was 3 cars in the lot an it seemed like they wanted me in and out . i had chest pains and full body pains and migraine with a sore throat . they said all tests where negative and i just had a virus but couldn't even tell what kind of virus i had and then prescribed me a cough medicine!! that wasn't even the worst symptom i had . very unprofessional and i will not be back to save my own life !!!!!! plus the 950$ copay . they didn't help at all i don't recommend. read more

My OBGYN sent in the wrong prescription for me. It was the weekend and the on call nurse said there was nothing they could do for me until Monday. I just had a baby (c-section) so I am in a great deal of pain. Luckily, Dr. Pho at neighbors was able to help me. All the staff from the front desk to Dr. Phos' assistant, Sebastian, was extremely nice and helpful. I'm so glad this is down the street, better than going to a regular ER and waiting for hours with bad service. Wait time was about 5 minutes and we were in and out in a good amount of time. read more

This was my second time here for an emergency room visit. They were very professional and prompt with getting me back and assess with my vitals and straight to X-rays. I was in and out with including them watching me after getting a shot for pain, crutches and prescription. I have never been disappointed with their service. And a separate $1,200 both for emergency services day after Mother's Day 2017...I have insurance but I'm still paying an arm and a leg for my part...that is ridiculous... they couldn't confirm I had gallstones after getting a CT scan and ended up sending me to an actual hospital...my gallbladder surgery is only a quarter of that... that's the hospital for 3 days, dr fees, anesthesia... everything .. don't get me wrong we used them all the time for my husband being sick and when we found out he needed shoulder surgery and they were nice but your gonna need to sell a kidney just to pay for it ...save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else !! read more

They are awesome they have helped me tremendously in 2016 and also 2018 I've had to go twice and they were very helpful both times the details of my visit are too lengthy just know this is a clean professional place to go. They are amazing I drive 30 min just to come to this location and I pass up like 5 urgent cares on the way to the neighbor's in Crosby. read more

Went in today for a minor sore throat. There was NO waiting and I went immediately back. The nurses were professional and thorough. The doctor was nice and didn't rush me. I will be back as necessary. Since this is a new facility, everything is clean and upscale. read more

My BF exhibited symptoms of appendicitis. The admitting and registration person was very personable; friendly and upfront about how they work (regarding treatment and payment). The triage nurse was busy, so the attending physician initiated the triage process; very caring and inquisitive. While the physician was assessing the situation, the triage nurse walked in/out of the triage room (several times) leaving the curtain open, exposing any/everyone to what was going on in our room. After a while the triage nurse 'took over' the assessment, at this point we began to feel uncomfortable because of her attitude and rudeness. We believe she violated other patients HIPPA Rights by commenting on another patients treatment plan and making fun of another patients symptoms (a toddler). Overall, not a terrible experience, but the triage nurse was out of line. Be ready for some sass if you decide to come here. read more

If you go to this place, make sure you fully understand how much they will charge for a visit. It you don't they will thoroughly rip you off! Example: $1200 for a 10 minute office visit plus another $500 doctor fee. I had to negotiate the cost down to a still unrealistic $800! read more

My cousin was bitten by a Copperhead snake at 10:30 last night. When we brought her to the clinic and told them about the bite. The officer behind the counter laughed as the clerk stated that they would not even see her until we were able to provide $500 or an insurance card which we had left due to the rush of the situation. We ended up going to Methodist hospital where she was properly treated as we were able to go get the card WHILE she was being examined and having blood work done. This travesty is appalling to me that their greed is more than a persons life. When it comes down to it they were more worried about getting paid than doing their job. I would not recommend this crappy Clinic even if it was to save my own life. Their disrespect and lack of emergency of the situation was not something we needed at that moment.
