I saw plenty of things I'd like for myself but was on a holiday gift mission so trying to stay focused, but that was tough at this store. Temptation abounded! I really want to come back for some of the workshops. The proprietor showed me some really pretty shell dishes she made and I'd like to try that myself. We were excited when we purchased our sectional here after recommendation. Made sure to ask how…read moredurable recliners were and quality as we wanted something that was going to last. We were told they hold up to 350 pounds which we are no where even close to that weight and assured this was a quality brand that would last . It's just myself and my husband and we take extremely good care of our things. After purchasing we noticed a tear in the corner top on the end recliner which a repair guy came out and fixed. It is now a year in a half old . Recliners are sinking into wood, cushions in foot rest all sunk. One of the regular cushions that's probably has been sat on a hand full of times was ripped, and corner that was previously repaired came undone. Was extremely disappointed as it wasn't a cheap sectional. Called several times and waited over a month for a repair guy to come out after first guy never returned a call or showed up. Owner finally sends a different repair guy who came out. We explained the problems. Since it was sinking in he decided to put in a different foam that was thicker cause it was still doing the same thing with the stuffing that was in it originally after he added more in. Had me sit on it for a min which is hard to tell. Called him back after a day cause myself nor my husband could sit on it without our backs killing us cause it was so hard and different material. Also I had mentioned that since he put that in the end recliner was making a banging noise. He came back out and pulled out the thicker foam and added some other foam. The sectional is still sinking in a we were told noise from end recliner that was never there prior to him coming was a weight distribution problem, and nothing could be done. We were also told to buy lumbar cushions for our backs. He also told us we could add more foam. We didn't buy a couch to be adding foam to it, as we are not in the furniture repair business. After he left the first time he called me back cause he forgot to tack material under foot rest so was headed back. I called the owner back to let him know how disappointed we were. He was extremely rude telling me why would we call repair guy back after it was fixed and we signed paperwork that we were satisfied. Obviously no communication between them. I explained that I literally sat on it for less than a minute after he was done. He was well aware I had foot surgery and had to be on the couch. I was more than patient waiting over a month for someone to even come out. Every time I called back the owner would say I can't believe he didn't call you I'll email him again. The end result was we were told if we wanted it fixed he would send somebody here and we could pay for it! We are now stuck with this sectional that we have to put pillows behind our back just to sit for a short period. This has put a lot of mental stress on my healing process. We will never purchase another item from this business again. Make sure to get in writing the broken promises when you purchase.

Phillip delivers a lot of these beds and was willing to troubleshoot and came by on his lunch and back again after his shift and fixed it for us. I went to the Marble & Granite Tech in Barrington, looking for a remnant quartzite. I found the…read moreperfect piece. Since I didn't need it for several weeks, I was told they would tag it and hold it for me. After several weeks my sales person called and said that the piece that I selected was not big enough for the side splash. I returned to Marble and Granite and identified another piece that would work for the side splash. After several weeks, I called and said I was ready for somebody to come to my house and measure. Somebody from scheduling would call and set an appointment. They never called. After a month of waiting, they called and set up the appointment. Measurements were taken. After another month I received a call stating that there was an issue with the vein match. I returned to Marble and Granite. The remnant that they were showing me was different from the one that I had initially selected. They said "no this is the one you selected. I took a picture of the original and it was different. However, the second remnant was a good match. So, I went with that piece. Finally, after several weeks, they came to install. Everything looks great, until the clear calk dried. It looked like black mold was growing between the wall and the back splash. I sent a picture to my salesperson who turfed me to Tom. This guy was the most arrogant and insulting person that I have ever met. He said it was the backing that was showing. After going back and forth with him his suggestion was to paint it the same as the wall. Not an acceptable answer. After the clear silicone dried, I noticed that the edges on the entire counter top were jagged. I'm not a fabricator, but this looks like the blade was dull or they didn't take the time to polish it properly. I am very disappointed with the workmanship. I would never do business with Marble and Granite Tech.

The place is kind of nestled in a residential area - kind of a weird location. When I walked in the man working (I assume it was the owner) was extremely helpful showing me all of the different options and trying to find a match for the moulding. Turns out they had just what I was looking for! He also gave me a free piece of trim to take with me for another part of the trim that I'm needing to match (and forgot to bring along with me). Great service, best selection of trim I've seen, very friendly, and the prices seemed comparable to the box stores. Will definitely go back!
