Her employees are friendly and when my son was crying they were attentive and made sure to distract him quickly and try and make him feel better when I would leave him at drop-off. He loves the teachers and the kids there so much, they are super responsive with us; and I love him going there as well. We also had him picked up there for his preschool regularly and was great we were able to do that. Before sending my son here we had him going in Tyngsboro, MA (which was obviously a long drive there and back) because of how picky i was with daycares- but have nothing bad to say and honestly only praise with this one. Both myself, my son and my husband will be very sad when he will be full time in school and unable to come here regularly and hope my infant will be able to come here as well.

This is not a rant, this is a lengthy letter describing a factual recent event and should be read…read morethoroughly by parents who are contemplating this school as an option. To each their own, but here is my experience: The school is ran by teachers you'll never meet, and most if not all, seem to not be actual teachers with degrees but parents filling in to help, operated by a woman who will insult your child to your face while on the front steps of the school. They will give up on your child because of their inability to discipline or educate, that was made clear right away, when I was told they don't discipline. I was concerNed to hear this when the words came out of the woman's mouth (a few months back) but since meetings or proper discussions aren't a practice of theirs (always rushed with the door barely opened) I thought, this is a temporary babysitting space my daughter seems 2 enjoy, while we wait for our school of choice to have openings. Apparently my 4 year old took out her lunch instead of her snack so this means she has cognitive issues. Careful this place is dangerous, anyone who is NOT medically trained, who does not hold a degree in psychology or a phd, has NO RIGHT TO THROW MEDICAL LABLES ON YOUR CHILD because they simply claim to speak from experience. I have been a mother for 18 years, I am however not a trained professional in psychiatry, psychology, you won't see me labeling your child's physical or mental condition... Three kids, ranging from ages 18 to 4 and I have NEVER had a "teacher, school director" handle herself the way she did yesterday; this woman was seething with rage, like an old poodle! Throwing out a diagnosis of my child, while on the front steps of the school, a rushed conversation at pick up/drop off, while other parents are dropping off their kids... (Meeting like these are handled in a professional setting/manner in private, with supporting documents/notes to go over) & If you dare challenge the woman's un-educated diagnosis be prepared to get kicked off the property with the door slammed to your face while your child is still in the school! (don't worry I immediately removed my child from the erratic woman's grip, forcing myself back into the school, while this woman is screaming for the cops to be called, scaring the children, my child and Honestly everyone else)... As an expert parent however, having sent my three kids to several different schools over the years, what I can tell you with certainty is they have no idea how to educate children and clearly the tired director with twenty years experience should go on a leave of absence, she has no business being with small children. As for curriculum, the kids' daily activities are done on scrap paper, with writings on the back, looks like they tear paper out of old books or folders (not school related) and give to the kids to scribble On. Mind you it costs $255 a week. Your kids clothes and personal belongings will always be lost, misplaced or given to another child; we are out a sleeping bag, two pairs of shoes and at least 10 sweaters, I don't have the money to replace these items. When you ask for these items you will be told to wait phtisies, as you are never allowed in the school, for them to hand you over a bunch of items not one being your childs. Super shady. Back to my main point, they don't know how to discipline or teach toddlers, they will just tell you your child is the issue if your child is rambunctious, a toddler. Your 3 1/2, 4 year old child is the issue. Here's the kicker, they will not tell you anything to lead up to these claims or diagnosis. Over the last 8 months I was told twice (at pick up on these lovely front steps, with the door half open, her wretched head sticking out) that my child was a bit "tough" today... but that's it. So Let this sink in, you could be told your child has abnormal behaviors and these should be assessed, out of the blue, while standing on the front steps of this dump whole, with other parents around, and if you dare ask questions or offer tips or challenge the behavioral diagnosis, you will be kicked off the property, door slammed in your face... My daughter is now 4, she attends two other programs (gym and play group) and these two other businesses could not believe what was said by this woman about my typical 4 year old, shocked but mostly astonished as to how this was brought up to me. This school is a dump whole, and I am riddled with guilt for leaving my baby in their care over the last 8 months! I can't stress this enough, if it doesn't feel right, even though "it must be" and your child seems happy, pull your kid out or investigate.. do your due diligence. Because she's my third, I assumed she was ok even though the school didn't seem amazing or ideal, I ignored the little red flags. Shame on me. Shame on this school for being opened

The place is extremely spacious, giving children lots of room to play; and the layout is unique and refreshing. When I came the teachers were warm and attentive and extremely friendly. I felt at ease as soon as I walked in. I do have to say that I am shocked by the negative review by Amanda O. On here. I was shown around and saw the playpens folded up and neatly tucked away; Mats for nap time were all organized in a closet, and toys were in toy boxes. I did not see any toys in cribs. I'd also like to point out that given how many children and toys there are, the place was impressively neat and organized. As for the baby room, I thought it was a great set up! It's its own separate room; confined and set up so the person in there can be attentive to all babies. The only reason we did not go with Ms Darlene's was merely because of distance. Even though we were unable to attend I highly recommend Ms Darlene's!

As a new mom, I greatly appreciate the human connection that all of the caregivers provide. Every day I am greeted with a smile and asked about how my daughter's night was. Beyond that, the caregivers are always happy to give me advice and support after a long night or fussy morning. I am thoroughly satisfied with her infant care, and am even more excited for her to progress through the childcare program. The layout of the building allows me a glimpse into the other early childhood classrooms, and I am constantly amazed by the variety of activities and teaching methods that I see on a daily basis. I also love that the program is part of 2nd Nature Academy. While we certainly don't want to rush our daughter's early childhood experience, we look forward to her continued education for many years to come.

Aside from Carol who greets you upon entry there was no comfort in leaving your child there. I questioned myself thinking I was protective and went along with it. Over time it didn't change. I came one day to pick my child up early to find a substitute teaching acting extremely inappropriate with the children scolding them In a way that felt like she was losing control. Other staff members appeared embarrassed when I witnessed it. When speaking with the director I was reassured she wouldn't work with the younger kids anymore because " it overwhelmed her " I quickly learn from that point on it wasn't the right place for my child. I think they paint a pretty picture of what they offer but within the walls of the preschool is quite different. Their expectations are extremely high for toddlers and pre k and sadly lack the nurturing piece. I found the staff to be young with a lot of turnover. I found the director Jillian to be young, naive and lacking real life experience to be in her role. Be careful of the pretty picture it presents. I am so sad that I didn't go with my gut on day one... a new mother novice decision. Luckily my child has no memory and I have found a place that is nurturing with experienced staff.

I think possibly because of the reduced class sizes, or new lesson structures, our daughter is doing better than ever. She loves going to school everyday and usually cries when we pick her up, because she doesn't want to leave. The staff are friendly and good at their jobs, from the directors to teachers. I love getting pictures and updates throughout the day through the tadpole app. I don't know what we'd do if she couldn't go back to daycare, we are very grateful that Goddard is open and working as hard as they can to keep everyone healthy and safe in these crazy times.

She only wanted free help and not consulting support from all the people that were in her presence as parents. Due to the sale of the school and the lack of interest for 8th grade the upper school was closed. We moved our daughter to Windham Middle School and if it was not for a full-time tutor she would have failed math. This was actually "taught" by Lyn's daughter and another instructor within HA. Core concepts were never taught but lots of photocopies of old textbooks were used as teaching materials and homework. This would explain why people used outside math teachers while their children were enrolled. In 1st grade we had 29 students and by 7th grade we had less than 10 and of the 10 only 5 were from the 1st grade class. They should be ashamed of themselves for charging what they did with the level of education being so low that back to basics was required to survive in another schools system. Keep in mind my daughter achieved high grades at HA and even made Honor Roll and High Honors. Yet, outside of here she was failing. Waste of 7 years of education and money. A NH teacher of the year has left as well so they could even keep a few of the gems that they had on staff.
