From my first meeting with the owner, David, I was impressed. David was professional, kind, engaging, and took the time to explain how his team works and answered any questions I had. We decided to book In The Mix to manage our ceremony and reception music, photo booth, and wedding Gobo. When we got closer to the wedding, we had a meeting with their coordinator, Phil, who we worked with to create the run of show for our ceremony and reception and finalize our music selections. Phil was phenomenal and was our point of contact leading up to the wedding. He was responsive, accommodating, and even managed to fit in some last-minute changes to our wedding song and "must play" list. On the day of our wedding, everything was flawless. Our DJ, Elton, was wonderful, and our MC, Rob, was fun, engaging, and really knew how to keep our guests excited and dancing. Until this day, we still get compliments on the music selection and photo booth. I highly recommend In the Mix for all your entertainment needs. They really are great to work with!

After having a DJ scheduled for well over a year for my daughter's wedding on October 30, 2021, we…read morewere notified about 2 months prior to the event that he was not going to be available for our event for a personal reason, but he passed us along to Harry McCloskey and his In-The-Mix Entertainment Group. A bit miffed and concerned we had our initial meeting with Harry. He put us immediately at ease and worked with my rattled daughter to calm her concerns and quickly make us realize that everything happens for a reason. Harry assigned Billy (as the emcee) and Joel (as DJ) to our event. After a few more calls with Billy and the team, all details were worked out and we were ready for the big day. Fast forward to the reception, to say that Billy and Joel were professional, is an understatement. They were friendly and personable, very adept at reading the room and kept our guests engaged for the entire 4.5 hour reception. Once the dance floor was open, I can honestly say that at no point was there a lull in the excitement. The dance floor was PACKED all night long. To a person, my guests all LOVED the entertainment, with many asking for business cards for (hopefully) future use. We have heard from many of our guests after the event and all had glowing reviews. Most saying it was the best wedding they had ever attended, with a large part of that being the entertainment. As we all know, a good DJ / emcee can make or break an event. In this case Billy and Joel made me look like a genius for choosing them to DJ our event. In fact, we had all gratuity envelopes prepared prior to the event, so I handed them out at the conclusion of the event. Every single aspect of the wedding was taken care of, from picking the chairs, minister, etc. to getting heel liners for my bridesmaids during the wedding because their shoes hurt them. The morning of the wedding I was freaking out about the lenght of my dress, so he took me to a store where I found a new dress THAT morning. (I wore them both....oh he also gave me input on the dress.) He found the cake person, the lights person, got us an INSANE discount on an AMAZING, famous photographer that delivered 10,000 photos. The value of his contacts and knowledge is, well, invaluable. I know what you are thinking, oh he probably changes insane rates, but NO. He charges 10% of the total cost of YOUR wedding, so whatever you are paying for your wedding, he will charge 10%, you CAN afford that, and most importantly, he pays for HIMSELF. The money he saved us in the photographs, the venue, the save the dates and the dress discounts easily just paid his fee. I will be forever and ever grateful and happy me and my husband found the most amazing wedding planner out there. I am telling you we interviewed DOZENS of wedding planners. They were either inexperienced, too expensive, too intense, etc. James is the one.

Each company had pros and cons and offered various perks. When it came down to making the decision for which company to choose, the choice was easy. Chris was easy to converse with and availability was not an issue. His company offers a number of services for different needs. And he walked us through every part of our wedding, helping us anyway possible. Even when we (well mainly my wife) had concerns, Chris always reassured us with his opinions from his many years of many weddings and experiences. The best thing about Chris is his eye for the shot. If you check out his blog you will know what I mean. His photos are absolutely amazing and almost non-comparable to other photographers. He doesn't take mundane shots; all the photos he had taken for us had life and were very vibrant. She had "other brides" she was tending to, and I understood. However, when my time did come, she dropped the ball on the following tasks: -communicating with my bridal/groom party in a timely and professional fashion -arranging the table numbers (many complaints from guests) -transporting my wedding portrait to the venue without hassling me -family pictures with bride & groom at reception -communicating with respect to stressed out family members (M.O.B & cousins) *and most importantly, failing to hire a back up assistant so she wasn't overwhelmed. Her assistant cancelled last minute, understandable. But this is where professionalism plays a big part. As a person who is not in the industry, even I know it is common sense to have someone on standby for such hiccups. She was accommodating to me when it came to my nerves, however that not the only thing I needed accommodations for. A little tip, a client never wants to see her Coordinator feeling bombarded or flustered. This experience was not worth our money.
