It's almost a week later and we are still raving about them. They arrived on time and they brought everything they would need to decorate, prepare and serve our meal. I was worried when I learned they were coming because the Air BnB did not have a full kitchen; they only had a toaster oven and a stove top with two burners to work with but let me tell you they made magic! While my husband and I relaxed on the porch Z made sure we wanted for nothing. She checked on us while decorating, setting the table, and assisting Chef Eli. She even managed take pictures for us. The meal itself was incredible. Chef Eli curated a custom menu for us based on all the information provided by my husband. Everything was delicious and plated beautifully. If I had to pick my favorite part I would say I was blown away by the perfectly cooked filet mignon with the best mashed potatoes I have ever had, the wonderful combination of flavors in the shrimp tempura roll, and the decadently rich chocolate lava cake. Not only was the meal incredible but meeting Chef Eli and Z was a blessing. They were both friendly and warm, it felt like we have known them for years. By the end of evening we were sharing camping stories and camping site recommendations. We are so happy to have met them and can't wait to have them cook for us again in the future.

I have to say...I love a Queen's rooftop view. You not only get the Manhattan Skyline, but sometimes you can see Citi Field. Here you definitely could! Legend has it is that one of my mom's oldest friends got married here close to 50 years ago in the room I was just in. In 2022, I hired Great Performances to help celebrate the launch of my book at the iconic Strand Bookstore in NYC. I flew in friends and family for what was meant to be a milestone moment. A day before the event, I contracted COVID and, heartbreakingly, had to cancel. The contract clearly stated that in cases of force majeure--like illness--neither party would be at fault. I no longer lived in NYC, so rescheduling wasn't viable. I reached out, respectfully and in good faith, to discuss paying a portion of the nearly $6,000 charge. Instead of any further acknowledgment, I was ghosted. They stopped answering my emails entirely. No returned calls, no response--just silence. I then worked through American Express, who initially agreed I shouldn't be liable. But after years of back and forth, I was told the full charge would stand. Throughout this time, I have yet to speak with a single human being from this company. This isn't just poor customer service. It's a failure of integrity. They collected thousands of dollars for an event that never happened, provided no flexibility, no dialogue, no professionalism. I waited to write this review in hopes of resolution. That hope is gone. So is my money. If you care about decency, transparency, or the simple act of being treated like a human being--look elsewhere.

We were in trustworthy and professional hands with April from the day of our tour throughout the wedding planning process to the day of our wedding. April was always just a phone call or email away to answer our questions and reassure us when we became stressed. April and the rest of the team at the Pratt House truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day a special, memorable, and unique day for ourselves and our guests. On the day of our wedding, the Pratt House looked stunning and our guests couldn't stop raving about our choice of venue. I was particularly blown away, as were our guests, of the Pratt House library as a cocktail hour space (which I highly recommend). Working with the Pratt House staff and our vendors (many of whom were recommended by the Pratt House), we were able to personalize the space to fit our travel themed wedding by adding unique floral arrangements and centerpieces and add sentimental touches to the space. The food is quite decent by catering standards and would be considered a god send for school food. Depending on the occasion, they'll whip up a variety of food from lunchables to ethnic bunches. There isn't a lot of junk food available on any of the menus, which is a good sign for health freaks. The lunch buffet is of decent daily variety and at $11.95 is cheaper than some of their salads on their lunch menus.
