The comedians that won, were the ones that were vulgar and not funny at all. You can tell the contest was fixed. don't waste your time or money at this club. It is so old and it smells. They have a surprisingly large menu. Other that mozzarella sticks I haven't really explored it. They also have a wide selection of beer and Alcohol however, no microbrews. The wait staff is really on the ball. They bust their ass! If you like to laugh in a setting that is very low key, fun and reasonably priced, then check out some live comedy here. There's also a nicer restaurant separate from the stage and another martini lounge downstairs that I visited for my first time with my girlfriend when we came here to see LESLIE JONES! I've come here a total of 4x and had tons of fun each time. I've sat downstairs and upstairs and probably enjoyed the Loge seating more. The menu selection and food here is not bad. The lights are cut off and it's impossible to order or see or eat your food though once the show starts. We needed to use the flashlight app on our phones to see but was told off for using our phones...okay, guess I won't order then. The venue is smaller and good for intimate settings. I found it to be quite romantic on dates but also private and pleasant enough on a girls' night! What I don't like about Hilarities is that they don't just send you etickets or any tickets to print. You have to show up before the show to line up, present your ID to pick up the physical tickets. Then I think they should not be able to charge you the processing fee and whatever upcharge it is to send your ticket because you are already doing the work to go in person. This is especially onerous if you are buying for a large group of people and forces you to all meet at the same time.

I came alone, so if you are an introvert, this could be an issue because you will be seated with others (which I did expect). I was brought to a table of four which was right next to a pillar. It made a bit challenging to get my seat in and out, but overall offered a nice amount of space. The table was pretty tiny for four people, but there was a ledge in front of us that gave additional space to put drinks and food. Service was efficient and friendly, especially considering the number of tables the had to work. It did make it a little challenging if you needed to get up to use the restroom because it was hard to navigate between the tables. I did like that they validate the valet parking, because otherwise the cost would have been a bit crazy for a random Sunday night when no major events were going on ($35). the valet is on a street near the address of the club (and the street that the club is on is not accessible to vehicles) so keep that in mind when you plan your commute. As expected with a place where they force you to order at least two items, things were a bit pricey. My mixed drink was just OK and pretty weak. I did really enjoy my corn dog. It was actually a large piece of kielbasa that was packed with flavor. The portion of fries is also huge and come with ketchup and another dipping sauce. One thing that was a bit of a pain is that they closed the restrooms on the level of the club when the show was over, so there was a long line upstairs. Overall, a great experience.

Since last night was so chilly, it was great to bypass the long line waiting to get inside the main dining room. Once inside the club, you are seated at long communal tables. I thought the interior was decorated warm and cozy with murals and old portraits decorating the walls. Truly a beautiful room. I loved that the full Hofbrauhaus menu is available in the club. You can enjoy the same food and beer as the main dining room and you don't have to wait in the long line! We ordered a variety of food: appetizer sampler, soup, perch & perogies, corned beef sandwich and a wurstplatte. Everything tasted fresh, hot and homemade. Beer was nice and cold. The service was very good. The comedy acts were enjoyable. The club has shows on Friday and Saturday nights. TIp: Go to the website and sign up to win tickets.
