Probably my favorite venue in Cleveland for the summer concerts!! The vibes are always immaculate Parking is actually not that bad or expensive- paid $25 in front of the aquarium! What can be expensive are the drinks and food inside!!! Obviously expected at concerts, but I refuse to pay $20ish dollars for chicken tenders lol I have been to concerts here in the floor and in the stands and both are great experiences!! If you can't stand for a while obviously seats in the stands would be better but if you're looking for a party style concert - the floor is where you'll want to be! Definitely recommend coming to see your favorite artist here in the summer! You just can't beat it read more

We went to see Alabama Shakes at Jacob's Pavilion. Jacob's Pavilion was a great venue to see a concert. Not only did you have a great view of the stage (there really isn't a bad view in the house). You also have a wonderful view of downtown. We sat in general admission and I will say the bleacher seats were uncomfortable for a longer period of time and there were no back to the seats. If you are Looking for a more comfortable seat I would upgrade to better seats for that purpose. The sound was decent and show was amazing. There was one bathroom trailer for women and two for men. That really did not make sense. Parking was easy and it did not take too long to get out of the parking lot. I would definitely see another show there, but would probably upgrade my seats. It didn't hurt that it was a beautiful night. The weather was perfect. read more

My wife and I attended the Teddy Swims concert. Amazing concert btw! Highly recommend if you like his music. Jacobs Pavilion is an excellent summer venue event place. The stage area and crowd area has an overhang for inclement weather. They offered several great drink options. You have the choice of general admission which is standing room in front of the stage or bleacher seats. The only reason I marked down slightly with 4 instead of 5 stars are because when inclement weather hits, you're stuck in it while walking to the crowd/stage area. It rained a lot the night of the concert and we had no way to get to the event without getting rained on before hand and upon leaving. Another reason for the downgrade is the box seats. Generally, these are the most extensive tickets you can buy for an event. The skybox seats were just some seats that are the same as all the other seats in the venue sitting on top of the concert walkway from the back to the staging area. Very sadly thrown together. Overall, when weather is good, this is a great venue. Good atmosphere and concessions. Would like to see more money invested in it to really look more appearing and not cheaply thrown together. read more

I got to visit the Jacob Pavilion for an annual event for Third Federal, and oh my goodness, we had such a great time. If you're not familiar with the flats, it's the lower part of downtown. Not much of a venue here. No pavilion so it must come down for a tennis tourney. Only port-o-Johns for restrooms. Extremely limited concessions. Very few booths. Painful bleacher seating. Of course it's windy down in the flats so bring a jacket no matter what. Everyone was cold w/ the overcast weather. The Tennis action was great & the luckily we found a decent parking spot for free. Event parking was $25. Think I'd rather watch it on TV. read more

I still stand by my last review - Jacobs has the best concert view in Cleveland. Nothing beats the breezy, open air concert venue set against the lake/river in Cleveland skyline. I'm updating my review to reflect the outstanding service provided by Manager Matt from security. After a scary security incident where another concertgoer made me feel unsafe, Matt took us 100% seriously. He addressed the situation with us directly, took action, and proceeded to check on us the rest of the night and ensure our safety and well-being. I truly appreciated how his staff went above and beyond to make sure we could still enjoy our evening. If you love concerts, Jacobs Pavilion is probably your favorite concert venue in town. As if the ambiance wasn't enough, they've now fully won me over for their dedication to the safety of their patrons. I was at Jacob's Pavilion today for the Rufus Du Sol concert when a girl standing in the row behind me dropped her can into my row and her drink spilled on me. She yelled at me to pick up her can, to which I did not acknowledge due to her tone of voice. She then proceeded to pick up her can and screamed at me "you fucking Asian bitch". I turned to her and said "you can't say that" and her friend grabbed her and apologized on her behalf. I walked down to grab a security guard as clearly I thought they would remove her from the venue. The security guard said all he could do was speak to her, which he did. After he told me to stay away from her and that he couldn't do anything further. It's so sad that I had to have my night ruined by not one but two people, one of which is employed by the venue, because of the hate that someone has inside of them for other human beings. I do not feel that Jacob's Pavilion has properly trained their staff to uphold a safe and inclusive environment. I asked for names to file a police report and neither one would provide them to me. I am so disappointed and disgusted by the experience and how your staff handled the situation. Do better. read more

My favorite place in Cleveland to see a show when the weather is decent. Pro tip is to park across the river by the strip clubs or up the hill over by the new yuppie gentrified area they dub "Hingetown." Security is pretty laid back if you like to smoke the reefer while you enjoy music. Harbor Inn is a classic pre or post show stop for cheaper drinks. read more

It has been a while since I have seen a show at Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica, but when I saw the King Crimson concert for $20 I knew I had to go. Located behind the Powerhouse at Nautica, Jacobs Pavilion is an incredible venue to see a concert or other event. The stage is set up with the Cuyahoga River, the Hope Memorial Bridge, Downtown Cleveland and an old Lift Bridge in the background. You get a feeling of Cleveland's past and present and might see boats, cargo ships and the rapid going by. For evening performances you get to watch as the transition from day to night covers the city. The seating is rather wide and once off the floor nicely steep, so all of the seats are relatively close and have a great view of the band. All of the seating is covered, although the sides are open so there is protection from most weather. The sound system was excellent and the music sounded clear and well balanced. Parking is available in the Nautica lot and on the surrounding streets. Getting in and out was done efficiently. The event staff was friendly and helpful. The concert itself was excellent, on time, well run and a lot of fun. Jacobs Pavilion is a great place to see an event especially when the weather is good. Not only do they do a great job, but they have an exceptional setting and really highlight Cleveland and its character. read more

I have been to quite a few venues for concerts and I have to say this was hands down one of my favorites!! I loved how easy it was find and navigate to parking and getting into the venue! I enjoyed the Pitt section and honestly didn't look like there was a bad view even in the seats! I would highly recommend and I can't wait to go back! read more

This review is for the Kid Cudi's 'Moon Man landing festival. Great event held at Jacobs Pavilion and the surrounding area. This year the space has held Tennis in the Land and other events as well. It's great to see the festivals coming back as I attended Warped Tour when it was still a thing many times here and wished it still was ongoing. Hope more festivals to come as it is great for Cleveland! I live by the venue and it is over before 1am, so it never goes to late and is great for the surrounding businesses. read more

4 stars because the drinks were so expensive!!! But other than that- clean and awesome environment for the concert. I loved it and will 100% be back for more. Venue has a lot of parking but parking competes with surrounding area which is the flats. They had multiple drink stations so the lines were not to long. The bouncers and stage security did an amazing job catching and keeping all the crowd surfers safe. They had porty pottys and actual bathrooms. The line was long for the porta johns but not long for the actual bathrooms. I would suggest another line for the merch bc that was very very long. But other than that great place for concerts. read more

Yes this a great place to see a concert. However let me impart some advice. If you like to dance try and get something in the pit or on the floor. It's worth the extra money. If you like to sit then it's the bleachers. Depending on the concert it can get really smokey and hot if the wind is not moving. So if your seeing 311 and it warm and muggy you may violate the terms of your probation. I shit you not. They have plenty of food and adult beverages. read more

Nice venue for a show on a comfortable summers night. My wife and I lucked into some suite seats and enjoyed how friendly and responsive the staff was. The drink prices are what you'd expect ($13 for a 25oz beer) and the food is somewhat cheap. I'd equate the food to that of a High School football game, basic hot dogs, nachos, etc. I thought the accoustics were better than expected. Downside was a bit of an influx of mosquitoes, but since they are on the water it's not too surprising. Only downside was the logistics of leaving the venue on a Lyft... The roads are a nightmare of one ways, closures, and traffic jams. The police officers and transit cops weren't really doing much to resolve the situation either. read more

An awesome, intimate venue to see your favorite musicians perform! I enjoyed my latest visit here to see Rex Orange County. I was impressed with the acoustics and stage lighting. There was a great view of the city and the Cuyahoga river, and you can see boats pass by. People were on the other side of the river having picnics and enjoying the concert for free. The bleacher seats were really tight but was not a big issue for me as I was standing for the majority of the concert. I can't wait for my next concert here! read more

Located on the west bank of the Cuyahoga River, this is the best concert venue in town. You sit outside under huge tents. The sound of the music and the videos are always entertaining in this amphitheater. The view of the east bank is amazing. You see the old industrial buildings now hopping with activity. You see the high-end apartments. You see several bridges knowing the lake is just a walk away. You sit facing the river. If you're lucky you'll see a full-size ore ship float by. Park in the huge lot for a $10 fee, and take the free water taxi across the river to walk around or have dinner, then come back to the big white tent that's Nautica. read more

The venue is scenic with a great view of the river but that's about the only thing it has going for it. This place is absolute chaos. It's like Fyre fest and Woodstock 99, but shrunk down in Cleveland. The bleachers are TIGHT and if you're even a below average sized human adult you will feel packed in like a sardine - it sticks with aquatic theme. Be prepared for your knees and back to rub against strangers, smell their breath, shake the bleachers to make you motion sick, and inhale someone's flavored vape to ruin your concert experience - yeah, somehow that's still allowed. I've been to better shows at Sea World. But thank goodness the lightly paid, indifferent security guards are pouring themselves a beer and drinking during concerts, I've witnessed this first hand. At first I thought he was pouring it for a guest to transfer a from a can to a plastic cup but then started drinking it, mind-blown. So safe to say the security is barely making anything safe or secure, they also let people stand in the stairs/aisles in the bleachers - which is clearly a fire and safety hazard. Not to mention it makes it hard to just enjoy a show when people are hovering right beside you. Someone should be telling them to sit down or leave. Be warned, when walking under the bleachers we've been right next to full cans of beer dropping straight down like bricks and exploding, if this hits someone in the head no doubt it can cause a serious injury. But thank goodness they have a tiny first aid shack in the back for all 5,000 people. The bathroom's are too small and lines are too long. The amount of people loitering in the back behind the bleachers smoking between songs is disgusting, prepare to walk through leagues of smoke just to get to the bathrooms and concession stands. Parking is $25 and beers on average will cost you $15, and sticking with the theme of long lines: be prepared to wait to purchase that over priced beer and be presented with a tablet asking for a tip amount, for opening and handing you a beer. This place will test your patience and make you question humanity all at once. Do not recommend. read more

First things first this was definitely one of the coolest venues I have been to. It was right on the water with a view of the city which was awesome. Drink and food prices were pretty on par with just about every other concert venue. And I got to see one of my favorite bands. I will say the parking situation was a little stressful so I will be most likely riding with a friend next time. But definitely a great time over all . read more

First time visit and came for the Rebelution concert. Really cool place which I enjoyed a lot despite the thunderstorm closing the show down for a while. Beer expensive but that is to be expected. Easy to park but tough to get out after the show. read more

Awesome spot to see your favorite bands. Great sound, with a gorgeous view of downtown, and the lake. I prefer to be in the pit, (GA floor), but there's huge sections of bleachers if that's not your scene. They sell alcohol, drinks are obviously outrageous, concession food is available in one location with a long line (it's a concert, that's the nature of it- so no complaints about it.) It feels super intimate, yet so huge when you look all around you and feel the rumbling and singing of everyone at once; feeling that same lyric you're feeling; singing: screaming. It's always a great time, rain or shine. That nautica parking lot that's $20 to park in - unless you get in the very far back, find somewhere else. It took me 2 hours to be able to get out of there. There's quite possibly no better place to see a concert than Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica. This venue is intimate and right on the water. Since the venue is small, there are no bad seats. The pavilion has an open floor area close to the stage with 4 sections of bleacher seats rising above the floor. The backdrop to the stage is the Cuyahoga River. It's not unusual to watch a freighter travel by during a concert. I will say that during a recent concert, the floor section was roped off from the bleachers. This was new for me and disappointing because I like the option to be up and dancing or sitting in the crowd. Other than that, I have no complaints about Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica! If you want to be close to the performing artists, than this is the concert venue for you! read more

This is by far my favorite concert venue. It offers the perfect concert experience with breathtaking views of the Cleveland skyline and Cuyahoga River behind the stage. This venue is covered which helps keep the rain and extreme sun out. The restrooms are kept up with very well. I have never seen such clean and well stocked restrooms at any other venue. There is a lot of parking available and the entry in to the concert moves quickly with excellent security checks. Staff members are very helpful and friendly. I have been here several times and will continue to see concerts here in the future. I would highly recommend this venue! read more

Now it's called the Scene pavilion. No wait, not any more. It was also the Plain Dealer pavilion last year. Next week it'll be the Circle K Dairymen' s Ice Tea Pavilion. It is near the atrocious Howl at the Moon piano bar and even more atrocious Improv "comedy" club. The views of downtown at dusk and passing boats really add to the outdoor concert experience. The tower city amphitheater across the river is the exact same venue except that downtown is behind you there. The flats has a long history of drunken merriment. From people falling into the river on the east bank to Heather Locklear getting hit by a beer bottle while riding a boat (she was dating Tommy Lee back in the 80's). It's the only viable entertainment on the west bank besides the Harbor Inn. Unless you count public housing as entertainment. There's plenty of cheap parking and bleacher seats if you need to sit for a spell. The best shows i' ve seen there were the Darkness, Flaming Lips and Ben Harper. Snuggled right next to the water front, you'll be able to hear the music from anywhere in the pavilion, so don't be worried if you don't have the closest seat. This was a fun venue. This location is on the water, so it can be a little cold. At my concert, it was perfect weather, with a nice cool breeze often rolling in. It's small enough where you feel that you're close to your favorite band. It has a shared lot with the aquarium which doesn't sound like a problem unless you have a run in with a jealous wedding reception attendee (some people are such douches). read more

I love this venue! Great view from anywhere, cool location overlooking the water, and decent drink prices. I love smaller, more intimate venues like this where you feel really close to the bands and the vibe is so much better. No smoking inside, just FYI. AFA seating selections, floor seats are probably everyone's favorite for obvious reasons, but I actually prefer rows D-H in the bleachers because people walk through that aisle between the bleachers and floor seats constantly so your view is obstructed quite a bit in those first few rows. If you're a larger sized person (over 300-ish?) you might want to consider floor seats because they have more space between them, or just get two bleacher seats. There were a few people near us that seemed pretty uncomfortable, even on the end. My only negative about this venue isn't actually their fault. It's the walk back to the hotel after hours of drinking and stuff... The walk there is a nice 15-20 minutes. The walk/stumble back however, is not as easy. So just keep that in mind and maybe don't be like me and have that 4th double Jameson. read more

Saw Five Finger Death Punch and Papa Roach last night. Solid show, great weather, decent crowd, had a good time. Pros: Great acoustics for an outdoor amphitheater. Every now and then you'll catch a breeze which is good because at a usual indoor concert venue it gets way too hot and stuffy. Bathrooms were clean and line looks scary, but goes by relatively quickly. Ample seating and can view the stage nicely from all the way in the top back bleachers to the front bleachers. The view of Cleveland skyline and the lake is very lovely.Easy to find spot for parking, but may have to do some walking. Traffic after the event wasn't horrible at all. Cons: I'm pretty sure I smoked two packs of cigarettes on behalf of the second hand smoke alone. Maybe it was because it was a heavy metal concert and I can't stand smokers, but being an outdoor venue, smokers are going to sit there right next to you and light up. My hair an clothes smelled like hash and cigarette smoke after the show, and my boyfriends contacts were acting up. So, asthmatics be weary. Also, $17 for a bottle of water and a tall bud light? Hell no. Good thing I drank before the show. They check your bag and make you toss out your vodka hidden in water bottles so perhaps one can bring a flask that can be well hidden or other creative ways to hide their booze...;) read more

I've been to two different concerts at Jacob's pavilion, and I think it has to be my favorite venue of any I've visited. Drink and food prices are insane, but they're no higher here than anywhere else I've been. We paid $26 for two tall Bud Light. That was literally the only downside. The staff were so friendly, it was very clean, great sound no matter where you are, and the view was great. I also loved that it was covered. Seeing the Cleveland skyline, ships passing by, and the RTA train rolling around, is a great "free" add on. The seats leave a lot to be desired. One is packed in like sardines on very uncomfortable plastic. Drink prices are ungodly high. I mean $13 for a 24oz Mangorita? Are you kidding me? Yes, I understand this is the only real profit a venue makes, and has a captive audience. But if the prices were lower the profit would be higher as it encourages patrons to drink/eat more. Parking is adequate. While it is impossible to find how much it is anywhere on their website, it was $10. Getting out after a show? Complete clusterf*ck. One police officer directing traffic through 1 exit. Yes, 1 exit 1 officer. Which means it's basically the same thing as how they lead cows off to slaughter. Seriously it is 1000% easier to leave a Browns game. You got our money to park, so why not cut some holes in the fences to let people leave in a sensible manner? read more

Excellent venue scenery. Either stand or sit in bleachers. If you get bleachers seats dont get them in the first few rows or you will have to stand to see the band. At least a third of the way up in the bleachers people will sit down from time to time. Getting out of the area was a nightmare. Saw Social D and Flogging Molly. First of all I haven't been to this venue since the 90's. Back then it was ok, they only served beer and maybe a twisted tea or mike hard's something. Well holy cow, they now serve a full bar in addition to your beers and twisted tea/white claw. They have it all. Made my day! I ordered Tito's and lemonade. Double shot made it 13 bucks. One shot was half that. Well worth it. Good prices for downtown, They also serve foods like burgers, nachos and popcorn at super reasonable prices. Being outside was refreshing in early September. It was open and not cramped like at other inside venues. You could sit or stand. They have tons of women's bathrooms and we only had to wait a short minute at the end of the show. That's it. They allow you to bring in certain stuff. Highly recommend to see a concert here. read more

I'm in love with this venue! I saw a concert there last night and I loved it so much I needed to write a review about it. I would go back here in a heartbeat & I plan too. I'm in Columbus, so 2 hours is a long way to drive, esp since my city has many very nice venues. I've lived all over, originally from NJ (by NYC) and I went to school in Philly so I've had been to lots (LOTS) is different venues; Madison Sq garden, Radio City, lots of hard rock hole in the wall joints, lots of arenas, and even more open air places like this one. This is by far one of the better places I've seen. I loved how small it was and being on the water was amazing. I was down in the pit section so I wasn't able to see the water and enjoy the boats passing. What I did see was that this is a wonderful venue to enjoy a summer time evening concert. The light show was amazing. The acoustics this place has is even better. It's not indoors but it has the roof which kept from getting wet, although it was only misting very slightly. Every seat in this place looked amazing. The picture online really don't do it justice. It is much smaller then how the pictures I saw portrayed it. I really like how the food/drink/merch section is set up too. Only draw back is the $20 parking ($10 in other lots) and the weird unclear path to walk from your car. Without people in front of you to follow I doubt if I would have found it as easily. Not much to complain about. A 20oz bud was $10.50 with the smaller opinion being only $7. Where I'm from that's a good price for venues that like to rip your face off. Enough said. read more

Awesome place to see a show! Went for girl talk (for free, thanks bud light!) and had a blast! Good show, awesome ambience, and a great view of downtown, the river, and the lit up bridges. On the tent rooftop they even project images and stuff throughout the show. Getting beer wasn't a problem either. Neither was dancing and just generally rocking out. I also "saw" imagine dragons for free when they played here by watching it on the little lawn area right across the river and bringing a little picnic basket and blanket.
