So this used to be the improv. Only thing that has changed is the name. The setup and operations are still the same. You do have to pay for parking and tickets are sold as first come first serve I decided to go last minute and was seated on the back because that was all that was left also the table is a small and it seats 4 people lucky for me and my friend no one else booked so we had the table to ourselves. They serve food like wings fries salads and quesadillas price ranging from $10-$15 $20. I did not order any food but I did get a soda and it was served in a small plastic cup. The servers were pretty attentive. Even though I was in the back the stage visibility and sound were great. I'd say this is a laid back type of thing to do it's not really fancy but it's funny and cheap to do. read more

The parking was great but you had an additional cost of $10, not expecting that. Overall a good night for myself and sisters. I'm giving two stars because Luenell was hilarious as was her host from Bad Boy Comedy. If I had to base my review solely on the seating staff and food service, I would give 0 stars. My friend and I traveled to Cleveland to celebrate a friends birthday. We bought our tickets at the last minute to join friends and didn't have reservations. All six of us arrived together at the door and asked to be seated together. The supervisor declined our request and told us we should have made reservations. Now I'm all for advanced planning however, there are occasional exceptions. Considering we were ok sitting near each other if we couldn't sit together, I feel as though he could have given our request some consideration. He instead sat us on opposite ends of the floor. Which was so uncool, especially because we were at the beginning of the line and being seated prior to the area where our friends sat had filled up. So my friend and I from Cincinnati were sitting at a table with three couples. Two of which were there when we arrived. Luckily two of the couples were willing to exchange seats with our friends across the room so it worked out, however the experience felt bad. These types of comedy venues have the absolute worst service; food and door because at the end of the day people will patronize to see/support their favorite comedians and pay gratuity whether we experience great service or not. It's the uncoolest thing and really deducts from the overall experience. This was my first time at the Improv Cleve and I'm giving it a sad face and thumbs down. read more

This place is quaint, located on the river in the Flats area. I caught the Michael Blackson show. It was ok, but I enjoyed MC and opening act better. The drinks and food there is pretty good, but can get a bit pricy. The place is clean and there is not many bad seats in the house. I walked there, but if you drive, you will have to pay for parking ranging from $5 to $10 dollars depending on where you park. The water taxi was not running when I went, but would have been the best option since I was on the other side of the river and the water taxi lets off right there. The also have a bar in the lobby that you can pregrame at. You will be at a table of four so if you don't have a party of 4 you will have guess (and the tables are not very big). I highly recommend that you get their early to get your seat arrangements and positioning. Got to claim your territory. Be careful when you pay your tab. The tip is already added in. I almost tipped alot more. So if you get there early and dont eat and drink before you come you will be fine. read more

I love the Improv. My husband and I like to attend comedy shows as a date night. We drive up from Akron and it's totally worth it. The comedians are great and the prices for the tickets are reasonable. We typically arrive early and wait in line for a bit. To enter the room, the hostess stamps your hand and another hostess escorts you to your seats. Tonight we were seated left stage and two seats from the front. I was a little nervous sitting so close but neither comedian picked on the crowd so that was great. The server took a while to come by but she was very friendly. We all ordered drinks. Their starwberry daiquiris are delicious. We love coming here for date nights and will continue. read more

This past weekend I went to the Improv for my very first time to see TK Kirkland with my mom and her friend. My mom's friend received free tickets to the improv for her birthday. Which I think is an amazing deal! I can't wait until my birthday to get free tickets! I really didn't know what to expect when we came in. I just know everyone has had the experience of attending the improv. I really like the layout and the view of the place. It is right on the river and you get to see the other restaurants and bars across the way. It is really pretty at night. They offer multiple shows which I appreciate- and we attended the later show. They also pour great when you are ordering an adult beverage. I didn't get to try any food- only ordered the fries. But the improv is know to have good food. I will for sure be back for another show and I already know what I would like to order to eat! read more

Nice vibe! Bad parking scene--especially for the late show, arriving on time (before dismissal of the early show). Cool bar greeting. While they clean the theater, you're enticed to the bar. Good drinks. We all had something and liked 'em. Great seating inside. Not too tight, but definitely not too much room. You can see--as long as you're not in the back. But you can hear everywhere. Bathrooms are what they are, but near the front door, and cleaner than most dives. Good line-up of acts. read more

Every show I go to see at the Improv is worth the trip. You can go see well known comics for a decent price and not so well known ones on the cheaper side. Ever seat in the theater is pretty much a good one and they do offer a dinner menu and cocktail menu. The food menu doesn't have much variety and is overpriced for the quality of food you get. You can get a nice cocktail like the cocaine lady but skip the daiquiri's to avoid disappointment. Tip: Fill out the info sheets that is on the table. It gets you on their email list for specials and you may even get the call for free tickets for you and 7 friends. read more

I love when places give things out for free. Awesome way to promote your business and it makes people happy of course. I won 8 tickets to see Pablo Francisco here the other day, very cool. Although it left me thinking about how I didn't have 8 people to bring, but that's besides the point. Anyways, I was super excited about the whole thing and my five guests and I more than made up for our tickets with booze purchases. The venue is small but not lacking in style. Great stage that really let's people get up close to the action. I love the colors and lights that accent as well. Let me tell you, that bartender must have had a twitchy arm when making my drink because it was stronger than everyone at my tables put together. Whew! Who doesn't like a strong drink when paying $9? Pumped! The service was awesome. I didn't get a cherry in my drink and after making a joke about stealing someone else's, the waitress brought me my own cup full! She knows how to please guests! Honestly my only complaint was the chairs. Super hard. When you're sitting there for two hours, your ass can flatten. Butt bone on a hard, flat surface is no fun. My God Mother won tickets and there were 4 people in our party. We got there a Lil late. The show was really nice, I forgot the name of the performers, but they were funny. I just feel that it was super packed and cramped. It was dark so it was hard to see anything while walking or anything on the table. I hate eating in the dark so I wasn't happy about that but we worked with it. The Establishment boasts great views of the water. Parking was 10 dollars. First time here was for Mike Polk's NYE show, and to cut to the chase, it was a nice time! BUTTTTTTT some things could have gone smoother, and hopefully they will for you future patrons! First things first, even though the little ticket you buy online and print out at home has a barcode on it, that does NOT get you in. Don't get in line with everyone else to enter the show. You have to go to the ticket window in the entrance/lobby, hand them your print out, and then you'll get a receipt with a table # on it. We read our printed-at-home-non-ticket first, so we knew this. But, we did have to stand behind others in line who didn't know this, who of course were complaining that no where did it say that...i wanted to correct them, but i kept my mouth shut like a polite person should. Second, i'd save yourself the trouble and order whatever drinks you want from the bar in the lobby and just bring them in with you. like all 3 of them. Why? Well because, you have to close your tab out from there first anyways even if you do want to order from inside, and then our server turned out to be a little bit of a mess, and never brought us the drinks we ordered. When she finally did come back and i reminded her, she said the kitchen was closed. I tried to explain how thats not cool, we had ordered before it was closed, but that was all lost on her and then my fiance told me to drop it. So I sat there bitterly watching other servers come out of the kitchen with trays full of drinks. Guess it wasn't totally closed? Finally, there were 2 opening acts that I would LOVE to get more info on, and possibly go see again somewhere, but I can't find their names anywhere! One guy said his name on stage a couple times, but honestly it was hard to hear over his applause, and unfortunately the openers aren't listed on the improv's event calender, on the event page, or on the improv's facebook page. I went several times in the Spring. You can get deals on shows in coupon books, buy one get one free shows and meals in entertainment book and all around town to put in more savings. The shows are always very entertaining and the dinner is good service. We always get a good seat in the crowd. I also recently won a drawing for a free upcoming show for up to four people so make sure to sign those cards they draw all year long! The full bar is outside the improve arena but you can dine during the show. read more

As the board member of the nonprofit organization Meesha C. Saxton Fund, I attended an event that we'd thrown at the Improv. The headliner was comedian Rod Paulette. He was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!!!! The entire function laughed from the beginning of his set until the very end. Since the room was 95% Christian, he had to make his material clean..... which he didn't find out until last minute (literally) and he did marvelously!!!!!! He even remained cool when an "overly watered" audience member started to heckle him for his subject matter, which wasn't inappropriate. He was the best part of the event read more

Went to the Improv for the first time tonight!! We had a blast!! The place is spacious and comfortable and the staff was really nice!! We laughed all night although, the last guy carried on a bit too much about the racial stuff but overall, hilarious! The food was pretty good, just nothing too fancy but the waitress was so nice, helpful and friendly! I was impressed with the gated parking as it made me feel comfortable walking out at night. Easy on and off the highway ride..I'm going to make it a regular event..we can always use a few laughs in this crazy life. Margarita was pretty good but would have been even better with a little alcohol at $7.50 a piece...hint hint. Overall, great experience! read more

Absolutely loved the experience I had here! My husband and I went for our first wedding anniversary so we made dinner reservations. I had the salmon, which was amazing! The Cosmo was a little pricey at $12 but it did have Grey Goose in it so I'm not complaining! We had front row seats, my knee was literally against the stage! My guy and I were here in March of 2015 to see Carlos Mencia. It was our first time here. I think we got our tickets from Groupon. The location of the Ticket Office should be in a different area and it was crowded. The seating at this venue is horrible and none of the tables face the stage. The seats at the table were cold and hard and you share a table with strangers. We ordered a burger and it was okay. The Greeters and all Customer Service could be improved. The Opening Comedians were funny especially a large black lady whose name I don't remember and we saw her at another Comedy venue and I told her that she was very funny. Carlos Mencia was hysterical and he did have a Meet-n-Greet. He is worth seeing. read more

Possibly the worst run comedy club I have ever attended. 2 stars because the staff was courteous and the place didn't burn down while I was inside. Ticketing was ridiculously slow. We bought online and printed the QR code and still had to go to the ticketing window. The drink menu was far from robust but had reasonable pricing. The restroom was dirty with a broken paper towel dispenser. All in all, avoid this place and wait for the tv special. read more

I am a frequent customer. My sister won tickets to yesterday's show 12/06/14. I am disappointed in the service we received. I was treated like I wasn't a customer because my tickets were free. Free tickets mean I am spending more on food and drinks. My food and drink service was worse than Taco Bell at 3:00 am. Food was served cold after waiting through 2 acts for it to be served. My beer was served at room temperature. My husband asked the server to come to the table and he was told to wait because she was talking to another co worker about her phone. I will not return to the improv. I was taught my money is not needed. Oh and my change was never given to me. No one could find the ticket.
