I went looking for mint US stamps to add to his small collection. I dealt with the owner who brought out three small books which had stamps from the 1940s and 50s as I had requested. I went through the first book and picked out two stamps which my son had not checked off as having in his Bookman Pricelist book- indicating to me he did not yet have these stamps. I only picked out two stamps which he priced at 4-5X face value. I wanted to continue looking through the other books, but when it told him I was only looking for stamps in the 20 cent to 35 cent range. I told him (in a matter of fact manner) that I saw other 1940 mint US stamps at 2x face value and the 1940s 2 cent 'red' mint stamps selling for 10 cents each- I asked him if that was possible. He then told me to go buy the stamps at the other store and he wouldn't let me go through the other books to see what I could find that my son needed. I thought the this experience was one of very poor customer service. He basically did not seem interested in giving me time to buy only about $20 in stamps. There were no other customers in the store and the store had over 3 hours to the store closing time, Go figure.

One minor concern, there are steps and interior space is tight, so the shop might not be considered handicap accessible. They have the largest selection of Pop Vinyl's I've seen in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The shop also has enough options at all price points to keep everyone happy and prices are clearly displayed. As soon as you enter, behind the counter are the most valuable Pop's in the shop. Against another wall towards the middle are the mid-range value ones. The rest of the shop is stacked from floor to ceiling with Pop's from every possible genre, with everything being clean and organized. New releases are kept in their own special section for easy access. Rest of the shop includes a room with mostly manga that has a nice selection. They have a wall full of action figures with a good selection and prices clearly marked. Shop has stuff everywhere, so don't be afraid to explore, or be surprised by what you find. Staff were friendly and helpful. This shop meets all expectations for anyone buying Pop Vinyl's and is a must stop.

You really have to sift through boxes and boxes and boxes of trash comics to find anything worth adding to your collection. Given that this is the only comic shop in the northeast, you'll find that diamond in the rough or back issue you never thought of seeing in a million years. But it's not all the time that occurs. Occasionally, I venture down to the basement to check out those dollar bins, but it's a dusty, damp, disorganized area usually packed with card game tournament attendees. The atmosphere in the basement during tournament days can leave little to be desired, including foul people, odors, and language. But then again, this IS a comic book store, so those things are to be expected The main floor features a much more organized back issue selection, but sometimes, these can be rather picked over. Pricing is usually decent, with most back issues priced at a buck with recent, newer, or exclusive backstock priced just a tad higher. There is a small new release section, but it's not as extensive as you would hope to see at a comic shop. Some wall books and sets are ridiculously overpriced, while others are genuinely affordable. The Garden really is a mystery grab bag. I pop in every couple of months, hoping to find something new, and sometimes, I'm pleasantly surprised. Most of the staff is nice, too, especially given the challenge of dealing with all that goes into running a comic/card collector shop. Over time, I've gotten to know them and have started to appreciate what they deal with each day. *Bonus Tip: Double-check the condition of anything you plan to purchase, as a lot of books tend to be bent or creased. If you're patient and willing to dig, you might find something worthwhile, just don't snatch up everything so the rest of us can at least discover something in there too
