We found a local upscale market where we purchased a picnic lunch. They had ready-made salads and sandwiches, napkins, mustard, and ketchup for the front register. Shopping was very easy and relatively inexpensive. We were told that this is where the locals shop. We brought our own bags. They do not sell beer nor wine at supermarkets. read more

I was in town for the Banff Marathon and stopped in here a couple of times to buy some snacks and drinks. It was very convenient for me since it was located right next to where I parked, the Bear Street Parkade. The store was always kept clean. They had a good selection of products that were reasonably priced and was well organized. Each of the cashiers that I had interacted with were all very nice and friendly. Overall a nice place to shop. read more

Great place to stop by to grab stuff before you go exploring in Banff. There's free parking, right next door at the Bear St. Parkade. Produce is decently priced, there are so many different drinks to choose from, a bunch of bread and bagels to choose from, and so many snacks! We stopped here almost a handful of times and with a lot of people in the market, the check out line was never too long! read more

Great little market! We were able to restock our RV refrigerator and cupboards here and found 95% of the items on our list. Nice meat, deli and produce sections. And located right next door to the Bear Street Parking structure. Thanks Nesters! read more

Looking to go grocery shopping for a really good price, Nester's Market would be the place to hit up before your hike or to replenish your stay while in Banff. The market is near the parking garage in town. read more

Surprisingly well-stocked grocery store in the business center of Banff. Good selection of produce at reasonable prices. Very clean and well organized. Efficient check out. Probably the best choice for visitors to town looking for groceries. read more

Basics only, this is not an organic market by any means! I'd say get water and maybe something for the trail but nothing grand could be achieved here that would sustain a serious expedition into the park! read more

supposed to be a 'health food' type store but they didn't have much prepared food that was healthy, vegan, or even vegetarian. They had some veggie samosas available but they looked awful- lots of crust, little filling. I got Thai noodle salad which had eggs in it so not vegan. Too sweet but I was super hungry. B had a chicken Caesar wrap which was okay, nit great. We bought salad greens out of their produce. The vast majority of their produce and fruits were NOT organic nor locally grown. read more

I put my overpriced cashews back on the shelf and explained that not washing hands and using the wash room was not a good policy. The prices are much higher than Savon's organic section so I will save money and support human rights and dignity. The good: Nutters has almost everything you could want in the both the organic & restrictive diet realm (and over the years, I've gone from Vegan to Paleo and crosses in between). The bad: They don't get enough traffic for me to trust their bulk items anymore. I've had more moldy bulk items over the years than I care to think about. I guess they are expensive too but it seemed worth it just to have them there. I've always tried to shop here to show my support for their business but after today, I give up. I always seem to have to go to the bathroom and they will never let me. When I was pregnant, I almost didn't make it and abandoned my stuff. FFWD 4 years to today; I had to leave my cart and take my 4 year old to the courthouse to use the toilet. I came back bc I couldn't bear starting again, but I'm not doing it anymore. I will use Safeway, farmers market and on-line. It is just too inconvenient to shop for a family there when you have to travel and drag your kids around for the toilet. I just have way less time and patience now that I'm a mom.
