After the first visit - replaced dead RAM and a failing hard drive - I picked up my computer but was still having power related issues (shutting down in hibernation). Brought the computer back with no problem and they replaced the power supply for no additional labor. When getting a computer fixed, you wonder if you'll get charged for whatever "seems" wrong. I got the impression the employees were trained and motivated to give the best customer service and experience possible, not just charge the customer as much as possible. Best Buy = worst try…read more There's a component on my TV that doesn't work so we can't use a soundbar. We already sent the soundbar out via that big blue and yellow store. But we got another sound bar to troubleshoot it, and same issue. Both soundbars worked via Bluetooth. Now I regret sending out the first sound bar to repair since it's the audio input. Well, we I go to the store this morning, talk to someone, and he says they normally don't send out 65 inch TVs. They would troubleshoot it in store or have someone come out. Someone coming out wasn't going to happen because I only bought this TV 6 months ago. So still under manufacturer warranty, but the manufacturer is insignia, their house brand. So I go back to the store later with the TV (I needed the braun to help me take the tv down and carry it in the store). They basically tell us they can't send it out due to manufacturer warranty (wtf), but they usually send out 65 inch TVs (now I'm two different stories from Best Buy employees at the same damn store), and they can't even test it because all of their open box soundbars are without a power cord. And they have no power cords with their open box sound bars or anything that is the right wattage. So we left the store with our TV and no solution but we spent 60 bucks on a protection plan! But they're doing jack shit! No wonder why stores are going out of business. We're better off getting a TV off of Amazon and getting a plan through them!

Please keep in mind this is a private business owned by one man. He is very kind and flexible. I received an over the phone diagnosis prior to entering his shop, albeit it was pretty simple (I needed a windows reinstall) He promised three day turnaround and it was true. He promised update calls and it was true. The value of the service was better than any corporation and the discounts he applies are very appreciative. He spent 15 minutes discussing possible causes, pricing and options - which was a pleasant surprise. Most places will simply tell you that they can fix any problem you have and just bring your PC to them. So after more research I was able to recover data from my PC much to my relief, even though it still doesn't boot up properly. I spoke with Jim again today and explained what I'd done. He advised me that my options were to either buy a new PC or spend $175 to reinstall Windows. Considering my PC is 9 years old, I'll opt to buy a new one. And the best part of the whole experience was that Jim actually gave me some advice on what to look for in a new PC. Even though I never had Jim fix my PC, I'm really glad that I spoke with him. He's a class act and I appreciate him taking time to help me even though he wasn't getting paid. Needless to say if I ever have PC issues in the future I'll call Jim.
