The exhibit included artwork depicting soccer to Polo. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 12 noon to 5 PM, it is free to visit and there is plenty of on street parking nearby. I was welcomed in by a very pleasant greeter who shared information about the gallery and was obviously passionate about it. I found it very interesting that all artwork on display is by Palm Beach County artists. The gallery is bright and well curated. There is a small gift shop. Restrooms were very clean and well stocked. When visiting downtown Lake Worth, I recommend a visit to the cultural council for Palm Beach. You can see all that the gallery has to offer in less than one hour.

The council was created in 1978 to promote and support art and culture in the county. In 2010 the Montgomery family donated the Streamline Moderne Building to the cultural council. We came prepared, filled out the application honestly, and foolishly thought that would help. Cute, right? We listed our current pets two cats and two birds. Our application was denied because we didn't list my dog who passed away years ago. Apparently, even your dead pets need to be "up to date" on their heartworm medication. Who knew? If only we'd brought a Ouija board to confirm her last checkup. Then came the next brilliant excuse: our application was "inconsistent" because the home we live in is owned by my grandparents. Imagine that a family living... with family. How suspicious. Clearly unfit to adopt anything more demanding than a houseplant. After a week of waiting and an hour drive, it became painfully obvious that A Second Chance Rescue doesn't actually specialize in second chances. What they do excel at is inventing new and creative ways to say no. So unless you're the absolute pinnacle of canine perfection with ghost-dog medical records in flawless order and a textbook living arrangement don't waste your time. They'll deny you and act like they've done you a favor. In the end, A Second Chance Rescue is a joke. The kind where you stop laughing halfway through because it's just sad.

FL, and have no local contacts, we found Tori thru the internet having searched for an honest individual w/ a good reputation who would do both the estate sale and cleanout. Tori was the person we hired after a meeting via Zoom. We also met her IRL when we went to FL prior to the actual sale. Tori was equipped to not only do the sale, she also would dispose of the post-sale remaining items via consignment, donation, auction and landfill as appropriate. Tori's marketing, actual 2-day sale and final dispostioning were done without any issues at all. Following the estate sale we received a lengthy receipt which accounted for everything. And, copies of receipts for donations are on the way to us too. Items on consignment will be sold over a period of time. Tori's fee is in line with other companies doing this work. I can't say enough about the professionalism and ease of communication with Tori who owns Cubed Consign & Cleanout. She and her team did a wonderful job. And - for those of us who live far away and maybe have strong emotional attachments to things to be sold - I don't think you can find a better way to handle this process. To donate your hair, a minimum of 10 inches, section it into ponytails or braids. Cut off the length you want to donate and mail it over to Locks of Love. If you'd like a certificate of appreciation, fill out the donation form from their website or simply add your name and email address on a piece of paper and slip it into your donation package. They get back to you in a few weeks after they receive the donation. I'm glad they have a super user-friendly process, anyone can do this!

Donate for a good cause…read more.. I can't remember when I last had a haircut. I do remember that I have donated my hair to Locks of Love three times befor this. I may as well donate again! Locks of Love is a non-profit organization, based in West Palm Beach, Florida. I understand that the donated hair is used to make wigs for children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy or some other mishap. Note: My hair is on the fine, thin side, so, they might be selling my hair to a wig maker as other reviews state. When the salons opened up last year around June of 2020 (after being closed due to the pandemic), I made an appointment for a haircut. The lady at the salon made a ponytail - about twelve inches long - and cut it off with a sharp scissors! It was kind of traumatic. I must have shown the shock on my face because she told me, "It will grow back!" Haha! I had photos of my long hair - almost to my waist - and the Ziploc bag that held my chopped off ponytail - before I mailed my donation to Florida. Too bad those photos are in my old phone... Oh, well... Maybe I can donate again in a few more years!
