I always visit here when I'm on spring break! It's a MUST SEE tourist attraction for the whole family. Very educational and informative. The staff is always so nice and greet you when you walk in and the admission is FREE unless you'd like to make a donation which is greatly appreciated and helps the local turtles and sea life. Kids will have a great time! They even have a children's play area on the upper deck. Very interactive! The outside area is shaded with canopy's and has many tanks filled with turtles, sharks, fish, and stingrays. It's amazing to see and get up close with the beautiful creatures God has created. They have guided tours and there are many volunteers near the tanks to answer all your questions. Very nice, dedicated crew. My favorite is the gift shop. It has a bit of everything you could want and makes a perfect place to get gifts and souvenirs for your family, friends, and yourself. I got a beautiful necklace, a beautiful collar and leash for my puppy back home, and a postcard for my friend. Everything is priced really fairly and it is a donation to help the turtles at the marine life center. I would recommend getting there early or when they open. Parking is HORRENDOUS. It always is usually especially with spring break. You might be waiting awhile for a parking spot. If you see someone starting to leave or backing out wait behind them and give them room to back out and then pull in to their spot. I had such an amazing experience at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center during their Turtle Festival! It was our first time visiting, and everything was organized beautifully. The entire event was set up neatly, and you could tell how much care and effort went into making it special. The volunteers and staff were incredibly knowledgeable and super friendly. They took the time to explain the different species of sea turtles and shared so much interesting information in a way that was easy for both adults and kids to understand. It was not only fun, but also a wonderful learning experience. The festival itself was fantastic. There was live entertainment on stage, many vendors to explore, and even free rides, which my kids absolutely loved. The setting alongside the ocean, with the clear blue water, made the whole experience even more beautiful. Learned so much while visiting this place! We walked in and were immediately greeted and given directions for our donations and how to get in along with some info about the center itself which was very nice! Once inside, one of the ladies cleaning a tank was able to provide even more info about they types of turtles they help, where they come from, how they treat them, etc. once she told us pretty much everything she knew, we went ahead and kept looking at all of the greens they had that were swimming around their tanks. We also took some time to walk through the center into the inside are where they had jelly fish and sea horses. It's a very well kept and properly maintained environment front what we could see. This place was recommended by our hotel and it was a very worthwhile visit. Donation to enter and we were greeted by enthusiastic volunteers. We learned quite a bit about sea turtles, including the five species found nearby and that local beaches host more sea turtle nests than anywhere in the world. The primary focus is rehabilitation to get the sea turtles back in the ocean. There are staff on hand to do surgery when needed and while it wasn't happening when we were there, you can watch it. We went to a 15-minute talk to learn more; these are scheduled throughout the day. There was a school group of third graders when we were there. On-site cafe and gift shop further support the center. Loved my visit here. Would strongly recommend signing up for one of their tours... they have a well designed web site to do that as part of their main website. You can walk in with no admission, but you really can't appreciate what they do here without the tour, where they explain everything that is going on and answer all questions. I took the basic Public Guided Tour (1 hour) and it was excellent. They also have other tours, and special events such as when the turtle's eggs hatch and you can sign up to witness what's going on at the beach under their guidance. What they do here is fantastic and worth a visit by anyone, at any age. read more

Amazing place to take the kids! Admission is free which I could hardly believe. They do ask for a suggested donation though. Happily! The facility is large and well-shaded, which is important if you visit on a hot and sunny day. There are so many turtles to check out outside, an indoor fish tank, a fun water table activity area and a huge and impressive gift shop. In addition to offering top‑notch education, it operates a full hospital on site, and visitors can view the turtles currently being treated along with other marine life. I always love coming here to see the turtles. I'm not sure why they've put up the fencing in the tanks, it makes them even smaller ;(. They have a shark tank and feeding that you can observe. It was nice to see several tanks empty which means turtles are being released and less are being injured. They've always done a great job treating injured turtles. This is a great place to visit if you are in the area, for kids and adults alike. I visited as a kid many years ago, and was excited to return on my recent trip. When we arrived, there was a large desk inside. There were staff/volunteers there to greet us and tell us about the center. While admission is technically free, I'd recommend being prepared to make a small donation as I got the sense it was expected. We visited on a rainy day, but much of the outside area is covered so the rain was not an issue for us. In the main turtle area, there are signs at every tank with information about the turtles, as well as lots of volunteers available for questions and conversation. We were also there during a fish feeding time which was a cool experience. They even have a nice indoor exhibit with a fun interactive digital fish tank. Overall, this is a fun place to visit to see turtles and other kinds of marine life, and to learn about conservation and rehabilitation. read more

My husband and I were only on Singer Island for 5 days. One day was overcast and rainy, not a pool or beach day, so, we decided to go to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. We really enjoyed our self guided tour and found the many volunteers helpful and informative. We enjoyed seeing the turtles in their individual "hospital" pools and I thought the displays of living sea creatures in the indoor museum were beautiful. We found this place when searching for interesting, inexpensive marine life experiences in South Florida. Based on my online research, our expectation was to see sea turtles and rehabilitation facilities for them and other marine life. Loggerhead Marinelife Center exceeded these expectations. Parking is free, and if the lot is full in the front, there's a parking lot in the rear for Loggerhead Park which has public restrooms, BBQ grills, a playground, and access to Juno Beach. An admission fee is not required, but at the entrance, you will likely talk with a volunteer who gives an overview of the center and presents a pitch for donations--We ended up giving a donation amount of $40 total for all the members in our party. Most of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is outdoors--This is where you can get an up-close look at multiple tanks for injured and rehabilitating sea turtles. There is also a couple of larger aquariums with amphitheater seating where we listened to the center's employees talk about the different types of marine life in the tank while going about one of the day's feedings. Near these aquariums is a large splash table for younger kids which has interchangeable pieces like plastic mangrove trees to move around and see how certain objects affect tide and water flow--this was a really popular distraction for the younger ones in our group. Inside, there's a cool interactive virtual aquarium projection display where younger kids can use their fingers with tablets to add colorful texture designs to fish and other aquatic creatures, which then join the already-customized marine life in the virtual aquarium. The gift shop is a good size and carries many attractive trinkets and memorabilia. We were here for about 1-2 hours, and could've stayed a bit longer, but this was sufficient time to see and do everything. read more

**INITIAL REVIEW** I have to thank Freeze Tag Games, the genius company behind the popular scavenger hunt game Munzee, for utilizing their Eventzee tech for the Jupiter, Florida Passport. Because of this passport, I learned about the Loggerhead MarineLife Center, something I probably would not have heard of because I do not live around the area. Being an adventurer, I had to make a stop by to the center as I am an advocate of protecting our sea turtles and other maritime wildlife. After visiting, I am so thankful for what the good people here do and show, as well as what the center provides to guests, that it is "highly recommended" by me (as well as other noteworthy boards and venues) and gets my very rare "5-star rating on an initial review." Though an address is provided, Loggerhead MarineLife Center - which I will shorthand simply to LMC for the remainder of this review - is the central building in Loggerhead Park. Given that the park is centralized to LMC, it also has the Aloha Surfing School, playground, picnic kiosks, restroom, walking nature paths, and ample parking not just for the park and LMC, but for beachgoers, too. Returning to LMC, the main entrance is located on the westside of the building. You will enter in a smallish lobby in which workers will greet you at the front service desk. There, they'll give you the rundown of what the facility has to offer including exhibits, tours, and shows. Since LMC operates on donations, there is an easy-swipe donation section in which you can give cash donations or use your debit/credit card for their dedicated swipe machine. Said machines are small and have a specific dollar amount emblazoned on the classic clock display. I gave them $20. There are other ways you can donate to LMC, but that is through a "save a turtle" membership. They are monthly engagements with no commitment, and depending on the membership, you'll get more goodies. The one goodie that differs on the increased amount is the turtle plushie. The base core gets none followed the next highest-up getting a small plushie. Of course the largest monthly membership has a huge plushie. However, it should be stressed that donations and memberships are not mandatory. Entry into the LMC is totally free. Any monetary donation or membership is strictly voluntary. After your introduction at the lobby, you can go through the north opening to the store, but I saved that for last. Instead, I went through the east doors to the main interior of LMC. The center is a large courtyard. The center of LMC is open while rooms are built on the exterior. Think of a hacienda but on a larger scale and you'll get LMC's design. In the lower level of the courtyard are rehab tanks of Loggerhead turtles receiving care and a tank filled with hatchlings. One level up are the aquariums and the children's play area. Along the outer part of the courtyard are numerous rooms dedicated to study and nurturing of marine life. Some of the rooms, however, are interactive displays and exhibits for guests, theater viewing rooms for shows, and the cafe which opens at 11 a.m. (which I did not eat at because it seemed as if the food were just simple fare). The one exhibit that goes from the top part of the courtyard on the westside seems to be an "exit" of some sort. It leads down to an interactive coral reef, unique art displays made from plastics cleaned up from the ocean, and a couple of aquariums with some unique details about what is shown on them and how they impact our aquatic ecosystem. I am so happy they brought to attention bioluminescent comb jellies, lionfish, and seagrass. My last stop was the store which has a plethora of items to buy. From clothing to bags to jewelry, they seem to have it all. I personally bought myself some pressed pennies, stickers - including one for my friend's daughter, Penelope - and an iron-on patch. Yep, those are three of my four traveling collectives (patches, stickers, pressed pennies, pathtags) which puts the LMC store high on my list of tourist-centered stores. I did get to see parts of the shows they offered but I was too busy learning about sea turtles and marine life more so that I kind of missed them. Being an avid reader, I did read all them info-giving plaques in front of displays. Ultimately, I am giving LMC my very rare 5-star rating on an initial review. Free but donations accepted, plenty of activities and shows for guests to enjoy, and kid-friendly, definitely a place you want to take your family or for the marine life enthusiast or someone who likes to learn to enjoy. It's turtle season here in Palm Beach, and it's the perfect time to visit and support one of our amazing marine life centers! These centers do incredible work protecting sea turtles and educating the public, and visiting is both fun and meaningful. They have an adorable gift shop inside with lots of cute finds--perfect for kids (and adults too!). Plus, it's a great spot to spend a rainy day since there's a small museum and indoor exhibits to explore. read more

The service is excellent they are very knowledgeable about the sea turtle. They also have some volunteers helping with the public. They do have a big store to shop for some souvenir. When you walk in they have a service request desk for more information about the place. On Monday, October 7, we brought a group of our middle school students to loggerhead Marine life center in Juno Beach. The trip focused on environmental science curriculum, and offered the students a hands-on learning opportunity to learn about marine, ecosystems and sea turtle conservation and the importance of protecting Florida coastal habitats. Upon arrival the students were greeted by the centers educators and given an overview of the facilities mission loggerhead marine life Center rehabilitation also focuses on marine research conservation and public education. The students began their day with a tour of the centers exhibit including interactive displays about sea turtles nesting, and threats turtles face from pollution and climate change. In addition to our tour, the students participated in hands-on activities, including a beach, cleanup, simulation, and nesting excavation. students got the opportunity to experience a live procedure performed on a sea turtle in their sea turtle hospital. They had a Beautiful gift shop and also have a café with seating that you can overlook the ocean. It's absolutely beautiful.. i'm not sure what the cost of admission is if there is a cost or if it's by donation. it was an absolutely wonderful experience for our middle schoolers and I can't wait to come back again. read more

This beachfront non profit is known for saving sea turtles and environmental education,but they also thoughtfully share messages of conservation throughout the facility. Parking and entry are free. There's a short walk from the parking area to the building. They do have tours ($10 I believe) a couple times a day, but everyone is welcome to just walk through on their own. I have to say their gift shop is awesome. They have some branded items, but there are so many things there that are really unique and nature-based gifts and souvenirs. Lots of jewelry, clothing, handmade art and handbags. The sea turtle "patients" who are being treated (hit by boats, can't dive for food, some have a virus) are in tanks until they are healthy enough to be released. If you follow the facility's media, you can get lucky enough to attend one of the turtle releases, right out their back door into the ocean! There's several other fish tanks around the facility too. Even a shark! Oh this visit, they also had green sea turtles hatchlings (babies). When those are old enough, they'll be sent out to the ocean. They have programs for kids too. read more
