I said okay and asked whether they could reschedule him for another day during the week. She told me there was availability for OT tomorrow at 12:00 PM. Then, today at 12:11 PM, I received a call asking if I was coming to the appointment. I explained that they had canceled on me. Despite that, they still charged me a $100 no-show fee. What a scam. 1. This place seems heavily focused on charging fees. They charge a $100 no-show fee if you are just 8 minutes late. They conveniently call you right after the 8-minute mark and phrase it as a "reminder." 2. If you are even 5 minutes late picking up your child, they charge you additional fees. Meanwhile, their therapists are frequently more than 5 minutes late themselves. They have a predatory fee structure, and the management appears incompetent. Instead of properly investigating issues and improving their processes, they simply side with the receptionist.

My child first started speech therapy with DeAnn, and you can truly tell she has a passion for what she does. My child absolutely adores her and is always asking about her at home. Watching the bond they built over time meant so much to me as a parent. The progress my child has made at Cole Health has been incredible. He went from mainly making utterances and barely talking to now talking nonstop at home. The growth and progress we have seen during his time here has been amazing to witness. He also worked with Mills, who was equally amazing. She was patient, kind, and made such a positive impact on my child's journey. I had a wonderful experience with Kelly Frye at Speech and Occupational Therapy of North Texas and…read morehighly recommend her as an OT / Feeding therapist. When I had a hard time finding someone who could take my 8-month year old son for feeding therapy, Kelly got us on her schedule. She was a huge relief during a stressful time. Over the next several months, Kelly worked with him weekly on both OT exercises and helping him improve his muscle structure in his mouth to learn to chew his food rather than thrust it out of his mouth (which you can imagine is very stressful for a baby starting solids). She was a calming and reassuring presence each week. She taught me exercises and techniques to use at home between sessions and was always available if I had questions or concerns (I haven't experienced that amazing level of support anywhere else for either of my children when they've needed medical care). She would send me details on what to bring for each session which made me feel confident too. She was flexible with which location we held our sessions which helped this working mother be able to get her son to the appointments. Thanks to Kelly's expertise we made huge strides and helped get my son back on track with his eating and be able to add more and more foods into his meals. I am so grateful for our experience working with Kelly. Now that we've finished our therapy program all I can say is that I miss seeing and working with her each week. Highly recommend Kelly!

And when my now 7 year old son showed signs of needing help, I knew exactly who to turn to. Yes...it is expensive...and no...there is no one else like them...but the proof is in the pudding. We saw results. And when my kiddo who HATES writing, enjoys his time AND shows improvement, its completely worth every. Single. Penny.

Its interesting that this is the only OT place in the Dallas area that specializes in handwriting…read moreand yet we've gone for 3 semesters and seen little improvement, nor interest in practicing handwriting. My assessment is....its fun to go, but there is no incentive to practice handwriting on the 6 days my son isn't in class. They make art projects using fingers in shaving cream and use tweezers to grasp small items. Additionally they have an OT gym, which breaks up the time in handwriting class to work on larger arm muscle strength. Its expensive but what else are you going to do if you have a child with poor handwriting? They have a monopoly on this common childhood problem but thier efforts are not very effective. The old adage, "Practice, Practice, Practice" is the only way to improve handwriting, and they don't teach that rant to the kids like they should.

Some staff is decent however certain nurses are very rude. Unsanitary conditions, leave toilets…read morespilled out on the floor and knocked over feeding tube and no one assisted to help clean.
