I called the office and they did a quick over the phone triage and had me set up for next day with Dr Raynor. The online information fill out is fast, easy and better than the old paper and clipboard method. The office is easy to find, plenty of parking, and very well organized. The pathway to the office is crutch friendly as I discovered. Dr Raynor's staff is friendly, fast and effective. I was on the examination table in no time. The X ray was done quickly and Dr Raynor's evaluation was thorough. On the next visit to give me the MRI results, all of the options, treatment suggestions and plans were expertly provided. I really appreciated a copy of the MRI report to read and reread. This organization is the best professionals to see with an injury. I've seen 4 others with various injuries and all delivered outstanding results that healed me and my sons. Dr Raynor is the one to see!

I had a long standing upper leg injury of unknown origin, and had seen both my primary care physician and a PT. After explaining my symptoms he had a pretty good idea what was wrong with me, and after an MRI his suspicions were correct that I had a stress fracture. It was such a relief to find out what was wrong with me, as I previously thought I had a muscle strain. Dr. Raynor's staff is also really nice and always concerned about my well-being. I really like the system of pre-visit online check-in at Texas Orthopedic Associates, so you don't have to spend each appointment filling out paperwork and you can actually get to your appointment on time. The only negative is sometimes it was hard to get an appointment that works with my schedule. Dr. Raynor is well in demand, and I completely understand why.

I was very hesitant to have another surgery. The I started to gait and balance issues at that point, I went and saw a PM&R doctor and he ordered MRI and when he saw the result, recommended a surgery soon. Then I had to find a good surgeon and recommended him by a friend.Dr.Jason Taub performed my revision surgery on C4-C7 and and fused C3. He showed me my MRI on a large screen, and explained the issue as well as my choices. I went forward with an ACDF surgery, which went very well. I am recovering quite well. I cannot recommend Dr. Peter Derman highly enough. I am a 67-year-old competitive gymnast, and a…read morehigh-bar training injury left me with a massive 25mm herniated disc fragment between my L4-L5 vertebrae. The injury caused agonizing, 9-out-of-10 sciatica pain radiating down my right hip and shin. For weeks, I couldn't walk without crutches and woke up every single night in absolute torment. My primary care physician assured me that Dr. Derman was "the best in the business," and he was absolutely right. From our very first consultation, Dr. Derman was incredibly nice, patient, and thorough. As a fellow gymnast in his younger years, he truly understood my background and my goal to safely get back to the sport. I trusted his judgment completely. To get me back on my feet as quickly and safely as possible, Dr. Derman performed an ultra-minimally invasive endoscopic microdiscectomy. Because this advanced technique uses a tiny camera and specialized instruments, it minimizes disruption to the surrounding back muscles, drastically cutting down traditional recovery time. The outpatient surgery on April 28th was seamless. Amazingly, just hours after the surgery I walked out of the clinic, and the excruciating nerve pain in my hip and shin was completely gone. At my 6 week follow-up appointment, Dr. Derman gave me the green light to slowly and safely begin working out again. Dr. Derman is a world-class surgeon with exceptional bedside manner who utilizes the absolute latest, most advanced surgical techniques. If you want a doctor who truly understands athletes and high-level recovery, do yourself a favor and schedule a consultation with him. Thank you, Dr. Derman!

My only other option was yet another disc fusion. For three months prior to this surgery, I had been in unimaginable pain, taking 3-5 Tramadol daily - and sometimes even more significant pain medicine - none of which provided much relief. When I awoke from surgery, the pain from the herniated disc was GONE. I experienced some minimal pain at the surgery site for a few day, for which I took Tylenol. In the six weeks since surgery, I've not taken a single Tramadol - only occasional Aleve. As I understand, Dr. Derman is one of only 10 surgeons in the country performing this particular surgery. What a relief Dr. Derman and this surgery has meant for me. I'm now released to resume my normal activities - including occasional golf - YEA! I can't thank Dr. Derman and his team enough - and highly recommend him to anyone with chronic back pain. Thanks Dr. Derman
