I had Fraud on my checking account. Nevada State Bank banker,Ryan Pham,at the Durango branch, came to my rescue! He was so good. Made me feel like he had it under control and not to worry he was there to help! Over two hours later I left the bank with my fraud declaration done,old account closed and a new one set up. We had Nevada State Bank for less than a year. At first, they were cool. Zelle is limited to $1500 a month, not going to work. Now they are charging me $10 for a cashier's check, I need to pay my rent every month. I have to pay an extra $10 a month! They did not charge me in the beginning, now they start charging me. Thats BS. ATMs are not always working, we searched and searched for branches and same they were far, and the ATMs are the same broken! This bank sucks! I will be closing my bank account asap. Most recent in-person visit was very pleasant! The female White bank teller was very friendly & efficient with my cash deposit transaction. This location is spotless & tidy. I like the convenient location too. I was in a rush after work one week night, and only had 13 minutes to get to NSB B4 closing. I had a manicure (for my girlfriend's wedding upcoming) right after work, and wanted to deposit money after nail appointment. Ryan Pham at the Durango location both found my needed information and assisted me with further inquiries into the process. Hello, I am new to Yelp. I do not usually take exception in a public manner to the behavior of businesses, although what I experienced with this bank I don't ever want to happen to another human being.  Nevada State Bank allowed both my personal information and my money to be stolen from me in a cyberhack on their system. This is especially egregious to me, and to my Crow Nation People. I do not write in my Crow Name. Nevada State Bank is a deceitful bank. They have incredible marketing, as their online presence and marketing materials are polished and excellent. When you walk in their branches, most are beautiful. The good stops there. They look amazing on the outside, but are decayed and rotten to the core on the inside. As a bank, they are incompetent at protecting your personal information and assets. They are greedy, and all about their bottom line. They have a veneer of amazing good, but underneath they are 100% full of fraud and lies. In days of old, banks would have vaults that were secure, and armed guards to protect the assets people would entrust to them. Nowadays, banks have cyber-vaults. Nevada State Bank cyber-vaults are constantly breached, and when your assets are stolen from their vaults due to their cyber security failures, they blame you, the client. As if you are not already reeling from being kicked when you are down, they further shame you and threaten to report you to a credit agency if you do not pay for the assets they allowed hackers to steal. Here are the core values they list on their website: "Extraordinary Service: I am engaged in my clients' needs and proactively make sure they get the right products at the right time. I look "outside the box" to find creative ways to help ensure they are satisfied." ***they are not engaged in their client's needs unless it benefits them. "Adaptability: I'm focused on the client experience regardless of the environment. I  recognize that markets constantly change and see this as an opportunity to embrace and execute innovative ideas. Instead of resisting change, I visualize the positive results that will happen." ***They are woefully behind the changing financial markets. Regarding embracing innovate ideas, they either stay doing things just the way they always have, or copy what another bank is doing and pass it off as if they came up with the innovation themselves. Fraud. They resist change, especially when it comes to doing what they need to do to stay abreast of the ever-changing banking scams and informing you, the client, in a detailed way so you can be protected from these scams. "Teamwork A great team enables me to focus on what I do best and multiply my  value to others. Teamwork allows me to become part of something larger, creating more satisfied colleagues and clients, thereby generating positive results and producing value for our shareholders." *** They engage in teamwork in order to protect themselves, and to line their pockets. "Communication I openly discuss issues with my colleagues to work through challenges with them. Bonds of trust are established with my clients and prospects because I communicate frankly and honestly with them." ***Communication between them and their clients does not happen, at least in a way to protect their clients. They communicate in a thoroughly intimidating and bullying manner. They shatter business/client trust. "Development I grow as an individual and develop a successful career path when I participate in opportunities for education and cross-training." ***Not an employee, so I cannot comment. "Accountability I own my actions and the outcomes of my work -- both good and bad. Instead of waiting for someone else to do it or speak up, I take responsibility to make sure that work gets done, and ultimately that it best serves the client." ***This is the biggest lie in these statements. Not only will they not own any outcome of their work, they will force you to own it with threats to report you to credit agencies if you don't let them get away with allowing you to be robbed by their failure to protect your personal info and your money through their cybersecurity incompetence. "Community I am actively involved in causes with impact and am proud to give back to the communities we serve. I look for ways to help the less fortunate through volunteering my time, energy and money whenever I can." ***Stay away from this Crow Nation. "Respect I put myself in the other person's shoes, whether it's a client or a colleague. Showing that I care about their concerns, their personal life  and their success brings us closer together." ***This is just an outright lie. I have never seen a business so disrespectful to their clients. If they would invest even half the time and money they spend on their slick, cutting edge marketing on actually having competent banking practices they could be a decent bank. Please bank with Credit Unions as they are non for profit. read more

This branch is always friendly and helpful with short wait times. I will go out of my way to use this branch.

I would just like to say that all of you who are rating this bank 1, 2 or even 3 stars are angry people for no reason. This staff is amazing and they do everything that they can to help you in every way possible. I have belonged to Nevada state bank for over 20 years. These people are awesome! Originally opened an account in 2019. Was told by the branch manager James that they would waive the fees on the account. A total of $325 of monthly maintenance fees at $12.50 per month were added. James had originally waived $100 in monthly fees but since he is no longer the branch manager the new branch manager Patty said she would not honor this agreement thus costing me $225 in fees. Since they did not honor the agreement the account has been closed and I will never bank with them again. If you're looking for a new bank I highly suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Went to the Sahara location, I was able to cash my check but gave no solution to my kids other than depositing it into my account. They are minors and have no IF other than last years Elementary lunch card and a Middle School IS. Called this Durango location and Tamara was pleasant and apologized for my inconvenience. Got the ok from the bank I just needed their ID's and birth certificates. Supervisor Lorraine was pleasant and took care of us. I recently completed a refinance through nevada state bank and the process was rather wuick and efficient. However the customer service with there loan department is rather ancient. I tried for three weeks to set-up biweekly payments and still nothing. Zions bank, there parent company needs to update there systems and website to streamline this whole process like Wellsfargo. I called multiple times to this branch and left messages but never received a call back. Knowing what i know now with the inefficiency of their customer service afterwards, i would not deal with them again. read more

Well seeing how the bank had my original review removed I'll keep it simple. This branch of NSB is absolutely deplorable. The VP Branch Manager is incredibly condescending & rude - he has no desire to help you whatsoever. The tellers also don't want to help you, one of them barely speaks English & when she couldn't understand me she pushed me off onto someone else. This branch also refused to let me out after they had closed. THEY LOCKED ME IN. I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK & I WILL POST THIS AGAIN & AGAIN. read more

Completely mis informed on my refinance from the get go. One hand does not know what the other is doing. 4 months to refi with GREAT credit that only rose during covid. Told my Heloc would still be open After only to learn At signing that also was not true. I will PRAY my loan gets sold to a Good bank before first payment. read more

There are no good reasons to bank here! The branch manager is rude and an impediment to business. Also happy to waste my time. I used to exchange checks for cashiers checks by having funds verify and they in one day decided to stop allowing it which is a testimony of how unwilling this bank is to serve business accounts. read more

This bank is using unethical practice. They are requiring that businesses transfer all business accounts to their bank as a condition for the PPP loan. Definitely do not recommend this shady bank. read more
