I spontaneously went to Hydravolve Studios because I was nearby, it had good reviews online and I wanted to check out styles, prices, etc. I met with Shannon who was just finishing up with a client & happened to be available the remainder of that evening. She went over everything with me and showed me the earrings. It was way too plain for me and the only downfall - they don't have a good variety to choose from in stock. If you wan't rhinestones/more bling or a specific style, etc., you'll need to order it with her, wait for it to come in and then go back to get your piercing. With the fact that I have been contemplating getting this piercing done for a long time, I knew I was ready to get it done right then and there..but also wanted something with bling. Lucky for me, Shannon was able to find an earring with a "little" bling and told me it was available since the person who ordered it, after a month or so, never came back. I decided to go for it and so glad I did. I did tell Shannon to not show me the needle she was going to use or anything because I'd probably run out of the room lol Shannon was very informative; told me everything she was doing, step by step. She was very clean, very nice and super gentle. It happened so quickly with one deep breath. After she was done, she went over in detail on clean/care instructions. I have enjoyed every single time I've visited. I have felt so comfortable. As an LGBTQ+ person I've…read morenever felt any negative vibes. The staff is super friendly, and the shop takes their service very seriously. I show up at my allotted time (maybe 10 mins early cause there's always paperwork). I get all signed in. The person running the desk is usually pretty busy. They seem to get a lot of calls and bookings when the shop is full of artists and folks. When it's my turn I get escorted back to the artist or they come and get me in the cute little waiting area. There's clearly a lot of time taken to keep the shop clean here. I've seen so many single use sanitary needles and paper towels among other things. Everything gets wiped down before I get going. The artists do a good job of making sure you are ready and super happy with the sizing and placing. One of my tattoos I actually asked to be moved three or four times and I felt like a butt but the artist was super chill about it. I am not the person to send back a restaurant dish if it's wrong and it took some practice to tell artists to resize or relocate an outline. During the tattooing process I get asked a good number of times if I'm comfortable or if I need to stand up and shake it out. They do have water and snacks if you forget, but you should always eat! I will always return to this shop. It's a third-place for me for sure. I always feel like family.

Curves were not done clean and you can see when they went back over it to try and fix them. Over all would not go back if this is what I'm going to get. I don't care if they were fundraiser flash tattoos... this is not ok for a respected shop. Even though they were super nice.. I can't justify giving this a good review.

I had no issues with paying for the coverup but he got extremely sensitive and unprofessional and just decided to block me instead. I have gotten lots of tattoos from him and he has never messed up before. I feel like as a regular the shop owner and artist should have handled this better.It's honestly just ridiculous. I don't recommend this shop. But also don't hire artists who can only trace and can't actually draw. The bat ears he messed up on wasn't part of the stencil it was free handed.
