That's my experience at every doctors office I've been to, until now. At One Medical in Brickell you're welcomed into an open living room setting by Bri and Eliza who are both super friendly and professional. Don't get too comfy in the waiting room because you'll be taken on time (in my case they took me early.) And it wasn't a nurse or assistant who came out to greet me. It was the doctor herself. Dr. Rosie Singh is awesome. Friendly, knowledgable, compassionate, very easy to talk with. She explained a medical condition better than the specialist who treated me. for it. She gave me around 30 minutes of her undivided attention (unlike a previous primary care physician who breezed in and out of the examining room in minutes!) Her follow up was same day. I went to have my lab work done after my physical and waited less than five minutes to be seen (I went on a weekday morning.) Adriana took my blood sample and was a gentle pro (despite my uncooperative veins!) Plus, my lab results were ready the very next day complete with Dr Singh's comments. Every inch of the office is immaculate. This is not your typical doctor's office visit. While I hope I don't have to visit frequently, it will be a pleasure to return to One Medical.

As a young patient, I politely asked if I could see Dr. Katrevia because I felt more comfortable with a female doctor. Instead of responding with understanding, he appeared irritated and began emphasizing that he owned the practice and that Dr. Katrevia worked for him. He repeated several times that "this is my practice" and that it shouldn't matter who saw me. As a nervous teenage patient, I was simply trying to advocate for my comfort, but the interaction quickly became uncomfortable because of his tone and reaction. Throughout the interaction his tone was cold and dismissive, and the lack of basic bedside manner made the experience even more uncomfortable. I remained respectful and reiterated that I would prefer to see Dr. Katrevia or reschedule. He eventually left the room to get her. A few minutes later I stepped out to use the restroom and overheard him at the front desk with staff discussing the situation and laughing about me. It was very clear they were talking about my request to see a female doctor. As a teenage patient already feeling vulnerable, overhearing staff and a physician speaking negatively about me felt extremely unprofessional. Looking back now with much more positive experiences with other OB-GYNs, that visit stands out as one where professionalism and respect were severely lacking. I believe patients, especially teenagers- deserve to feel respected and safe when advocating for their comfort during medical visits.

I am expressing my concern and dissatisfaction with the care I received from the nurse Fabianna Zedan at Dr. Elias Mualin's office. My experience raises serious concerns about patient safety, information, communication, and quality of care. During my recent visits, I reported severe and debilitating symptoms, including nausea, constant sweating, extreme back, pelvic, and leg pain, tremors from pain during my menstrual cycle, and inability to eat. I sought medical evaluation and treatment to alleviate this suffering and to obtain a diagnosis and appropriate medication. Following an ultrasound, I returned for a follow-up appointment to review the results with Fabianna Zedan. At that time, she informed me that the results had not been reviewed. I was later told that there were delays at the imaging site, which I understand. However, despite Fabianna Zedan's repeated assurances that she would call me with the results--whether normal or abnormal--I was never contacted. I waited for days without any communication, which I consider a failure in the duty of care. After 3 consecutive days of calling the office, starting on Tuesday, I finally reached the receptionist, who informed me that my imaging results and notes were available. I was then told that I have a complex cyst on my left ovary. I was never contacted or proactively notified by the nurse regarding these findings, and I would not have known had I not persistently followed up myself. Additionally, despite my significant symptoms, Fabianna Zedan prescribed diclofenac, which I found to be an inadequate response given the severity of my condition. When I mentioned that my pharmacist suggested meloxicam, which might better address my pain and inflammation, she reacted dismissively and stated that meloxicam is a muscle relaxer--which is inaccurate, as it is an NSAID. She also raised her eyebrows and her eyes almost popped out of her head looking at me like I just asked her for some type of crazy controlled pain management medication. It was Mobic. This demonstrated a lack of attentiveness and professional knowledge that could negatively impact patient outcomes. This pattern of behavior reflects neglect of patient care, poor communication, and potential risk to patient health. I respectfully request that the office management and or doctor himself address this matter to ensure accountability and prevent similar experiences for other patients. I also got called actually 3 weeks after my ultrasound after I had called myself beforehand when I found out what I had on my ovary, to be told the results finally and that the doctor wants another ultrasound to be able to see further what wasn't shown. THREE weeks after my initial ultrasounds, weeks after I had to call MYSELF three times and got my results over the phone that way, it just shows another lack of interest again in that no one there knew I had gotten my results over the phone... I also obviously asked to be given my results, notes, etc on paper and am actively finding an adequate gyno office to take these results to instead as I am never going back here and advise anyone with SERIOUS concerns and needing actual help to stay away. It's sad too because this was the only gyno office I've been to- only ever being seen by the doctor himself, who's great- but knowing he would allow a nurse practitioner like this to take care of his patients? The entire experience was equivalent to a slap in the face. Please do better.

Rafael Abad since it is not easy to get a first time appointment with doctors as a recent arrival in Miami...I found many doctors didn't accept our health insurance, were not accepting new patients, had moved far away from where we now live or were fully-booked until 2025! Everyone we met at Dr. Abad's office was polite, friendly and kind including the following people: Amanda checked us in and did the blood draw and collected the urine cups. Lilian conducted my EKG. Maria gave me the referral for a mammogram and an ultrasound. Dr. Abad was also polite and friendly and patiently took the time to ask my son and me questions about our individual medical health history and current health situation. Out of the blue they call me and say "you owe us $700 because of a visit OVER two years ago that you paid a copayment on and ran your active insurance somehow didn't get submitted to the insurance company correctly so it's your fault" they had me jump through hoops to call my health insurance BCBS with confirmation and confirmed details of my ACTIVE health insurance to provide the office. THEY ALSO TOLD ME THE CLAIM # the office messed up submitted NEVER was recieved and they have no history of the claim!! Now that it's two years later the insurance company won't accept them resubmitting It correctly and they're trying to make It my problem why I as the client did EVERYTHING right and provided proof. They are out of their mind and need to take responsibility. Extremely unprofessional and I will not allow them to take advantage of me. Horrible patient care and no regard for you when they mess up!

A girl with no veins…read more For those of us with hard to locate veins, nothing is more dreaded than getting blood work. A visit to the phlebotomist is normally filled with endless pokes and lingering bruises, leaving a road map of failure all over my arms and hands. Until today! I went to the newly opened One Medical in Coconut Grove. Kaylee, an expert at finding the impossible, was able to get enough blood to fill 6, 8, 10+ (lost count) vials of blood. I also want to give a shout out to Tyler and Daniel for opening bottles of water and hot compresses, all in a team effort to make the process less stressful, leaving me with just a tiny bruise. I'm so happy this office opened. It's sparkling clean, and everyone couldn't be nicer. This is a huge asset to our community.

I went in for my annual check up, which is covered as preventive under my insurance (no deductible etc). When the exams came back, my doctor requested a follow-up call to discuss the result of the exams. This is a call that was requested by the doctor and over zoom. I was then charged for this call instead of being coded as a continuation of the Service since the Doctor requested the call to review results. I never in my life had this issue with any other provider. If this is how they plan to do business, the least they can do is notify patients that they charge for something no one else does and logically is a continuation of the preventive service.
