It has been many of these ministries that I am grateful to have been able to experience. From what I can tell, there are not many churches that are able to offer what they offer, and that's not only an amazing feat but also a great service to the community. Some of the ministries that I've been able to participate in have included small groups (marriage mainly), special events (such as Israel Awareness Day), performance ministries (namely the Passion production each Easter and their Christmas productions), to name a few. Faith Bible Chapel has been a staple in the West Arvada area for many decades now, and in the past year or so there have been some changes that have taken place. Which is partly for the reason for this updated review. Namely, the senior pastor position, going from George Morrison to Jason King. Pastor Morrison helmed the role for over thirty years and my wife's family has been positively affected by his leadership since the early 1990's. His personal story of redemption is very powerful and I am fortunate enough to have heard his story before he stepped down. If anything, under the leadership of Pastor Jason the church's efforts has been focused. From what I can tell, many of what was offered before is still in effect just there's been a re-emphasis placed on what they do as a church, and one of the items that appears to be getting a big boost is the building up of small groups. This is just one thing I've noticed as of late. I've also recently listened to a sermon series on Relationships by Pastor Jason, as recommended by my mother-in-law. In it were some hard truths that people of the Christian Faith should hear. We (as a world) have gracious been offered God's grace, but with it there is His truth as well. Together, though, those two things are very powerful (Grace & Truth), which we as followers need to hear from time to time. I may have my home church elsewhere, but I am glad to call this place a second home. I know there are a handful of items that I am missing, but I would recommend people giving the church a try. It can be easy to get lost in a church this size, but with some intentionality it is almost just as easy to find a small group to build community with.

The atmosphere is very home-like and community oriented. People seem friendly. They were welcoming to lots of homeless people. They served breakfast together and loved on one another in the basic needs. Worship was really intimate. Had an acoustic guitar and two vocalists. The artistic approach towards liturgy was unique and different. They sung hymns, had a call and response and even held hand while reciting the Lords prayer. The message was good. That sunday we talked about legalism. And how sometimes their anti-legalism may in fact be a little legalistic. That was great introspection from the pastor. He broken down the message by first talking about a personal story from his childhood. Then we moved into the passage, then expounded and talked about how it applied to the community. As for atmosphere. The bathrooms were so decorated! It was amazing. Such a creative expression of worship. There are lots of art collections on the wall. Light decors, bike decors and all sorts of other things. Children's ministry seemed really precious. Small, intimate. The whole feel of the church was unique. Different. almost punk/hipster/indie. loved it.
